Only one of the three provided me with a detailed quote.All three contacted me,I had to chase up through solar quotes for the other 2 which one more got back to me with a detailed quote.I did my own research and got 2 more quotes within 24 hrs.I had used solar quotes previously when it was owned by Finn and had a much more positive experience.

I am very sorry to hear that only one of the three installers quote and that you had to chase the others through us. That is not the experience we want you to have, and I understand how frustrating that would be, especially given your previous positive experience.
Finn is still very much involved in the business of SolarQuotes and the standards he set are still what we aim for. I can tell you personally from my side since Origin came into play - our processes around installer vetting and management have not changed one bit and i'll be looking into this negative experience you have had seriously so I can amend it and we can improve in the future.
I have left you a voicemail so I can better understand exactly what happened from your perspective. Once I have those details, I will be able to follow this up properly with the installers involved and make sure it is addressed.

A very useful site which I used along with another similar solar comparison service. SolarQuotes provided me with the final 2 companies which I chose from. Oddly enough these 2 recommended Sigenergy batteries which SolarQuotes doesn't! Nevertheless there is plenty of good info to use for research . Highly recommended!

This is as good as place as any to get quotes from. The variation of quotes and prices were very different. Even with rebates the costs were too expensive to go ahead. $8k at best and $20k at worst. Not all of us have that kinda money free to spend just before Xmas.

Solar prices can differ significantly due to system size, panel and inverter brands used, and any extra electrical work required. Every installer can have a different idea of what and how to do an install. While rebates help reduce the upfront cost, they do not remove these differences, which is why quotes can range so widely. this link may help in explaining what you should be expecting and why prices can be so different

After I put my details in for solar quotes, I got between 16 and 20 calls a day from various companies. After I told them I weren’t interested they continued to call. After I blocked their number they would call from private number

Solar Quotes was invaluable in that it that meant that, at the very least, the worst of the worst companies had already been excluded from consideration. This meant that I could feel reasonably confident that, if I went with one of the recommended companies, I would be dealing with an honest, knowledgeable and reliable company. This is very reassuring, as the vast majority of individuals, though, like myself, may be quite interested in solar/batteries etc, have no, or little ability to carry out this vetting effectively.
This is good. VERY GOOD.
However, perhaps your vetting could be improved, as although all three individuals representing the companies referred to me were polite,pleasant and knowledgeable, one had what I felt was a quite high pressure approach. Not unpleasant or rude, but quite full on, flooding me with information too quickly for me to absorb effectively. In addition, he wanted a sign up on the spot.
On the spot sign ups, and high pressure sales pitches were 2 things that Solar Quotes, in it's postings, explicitly warns are red flags.
I was, therefore, surprised to encounter this in a company that you referred to me.

It is exactly the kind of sales we are trying to avoid, I have a good contact at that business and I have spoken to him about this. The salesman was newer and agreed that they went too hard for a sale in this case, apologised and ensured me it wont happen again. It is very helpful that you let us know about that - only helps us and the companies we recommend improve.

Having been a Solar enthusiast since the 90's I've had some experience with the technology and are aware of some of the pitfalls in entering this unfamiliar technology - while having enjoyed the benefits a solar system can provide.
