Great product! I helped some friends put together a Bristhol last summer. I was so impressed, we purchased a California for our property. My wife and I easily put it together. Later on we realized we were missing some set screws for the door hardware. I contacted Tomas and he immediately took care of us and sent us some replacement screws. Best on the market
I was pleasantly surprised at how well and easy the purchase, delivery and installation of the shed was for us. Online support through text and email was quick and helpful when we needed it. I am thoroughly satisfied in my decision to purchase our shed through Solidbuild and have already referred several people to them without reservation. Don’t get me wrong
Don’t get me wrong, the material is BEAUTIFUL, but this is definitely not a project for “two crafty people.” I grew up learning construction from my dad and have a basic knowledge of power tools and was bummed when I realized how many extra tools we needed to properly get this done.
The directions also seem out of date and are poorly written, important steps footnoted to the side or on a completely different page.
It’s been over 2 months and we still haven’t finished our shed, everything that could have gone wrong basically did, warped wood that wouldn’t fit together, extra steps needed to cut down individual floor boards to fit properly due to insulation raising the placement, etc.
I’m frustrated I paid what I did, it’s a big cost!! And not at all as advertised when it comes to execution. Be prepared for additional cost and time when purchasing.

We take feedback on our assembly manuals seriously and continuously update them based on customer insights. We would love to know which specific steps gave you trouble so our team can refine those instructions right away.
To clarify a few details regarding assembly and project scope, a power drill is required for the build, while a circular saw is optional to speed up the cuts. The rest of the necessary tools are pretty standard basics, such as a level, rubber mallet, tape measure, or a ladder. Optional customizations like adding roof or floor insulation, or staining the interior do require additional time and materials. Time estimates are listed on each shed’s product page, and we always encourage using the detailed project cost calculator on our website before ordering to get a full scope of your shed project.
Natural wood movement is expected and normal, but when a board shifts significantly, we offer on-site fixes with the spare lumber included in the kit or send a replacement. As per your preference, we dispatched your replacement parts the same day you reached out.
Regarding the floorboards, insulation is designed to sit between the floor joists without altering the installation process. When you mentioned the fitting issue over the text, we requested photos to help troubleshoot, though we didn't receive a reply. If a piece ever seems misaligned, reaching out to us before making custom cuts is always best so we can review photos and recommend the easiest solution, which rarely includes cutting the parts.

I love my new shed
I love my new shed. I would order again. My only issue is that the doors do not line up so that they do not close and latch properly. I have not been able to correct this. Otherwise I give it 5 stars.

California Shed for Home Office
Igna and Tomas were very knowledgeable and responsive. I purchased the California Shed for an office in my backyard. It is the perfect addition to my home. The quality of the wood, Norwegian Spruce seems indestructible. Igna and Tomas answered all of my questions before and after my purchase. Tomas did an excellent job coordinating my shipment delivery. The delivery went very smoothly. Arrived just on time. My Contractor put up the building in just a few days. All of the parts and directions were easy to understand and execute. If you are wondering if Solid Build Wood and their products are worth it, I can tell you that I am so grateful that I found this company, and my expectations have been exceeded. SolidBuild is unorganized, dishonest and doesn’t care about you
Already a bad experience and my shed hasn’t even been delivered. 2 weeks ago, when I purchased my shed, I asked SolidBuild to either deliver my shed by 7/23 or hold off the delivery until after 8/2. They request this information when you purchase a shed.
They scheduled my delivery for 7/25 because that’s what worked for them! Their delivery date is now causing me stress because I don’t have enough time to build the shed before I leave on vacation. This was explained to them and they don’t care.
They are in fact, now patting themselves on their backs for delivering in 2 weeks, even though I asked them to wait until after Aug 2 if they couldn’t deliver by July 24.
Their website says, “Buy now and schedule your delivery when you’re ready”. This claim is NOT TRUE!

We understand the frustration here, and we're sorry this fell short of what you needed.
When you ordered, you asked for delivery by July 24, or after August 2 if that wasn't possible. Your original delivery was booked well within that window, but the carrier didn't show. That left us choosing between rebooking into the next available slot, which pushed just past your first date, or holding everything until after the 2nd - thus we moved quickly to secure a replacement carrier, reading the situation as wanting the shed as soon as possible. In hindsight we should have paused and confirmed which of your two windows you preferred rather than deciding for you. That's on us, and it's a real lesson we're taking from this.
We've refunded the $200 unloading charge, and your shed has now been delivered.
For anyone reading: on a standard (non-expedited) delivery, scheduling depends on carrier routing and availability, and while we can't control a carrier no-show, we can and should communicate more clearly when plans change. We'd genuinely rather have gotten this right for you, and if anything's still outstanding you can reach us at info@solidbuildwood.com.
