I worked with Spivey Consulting and Erika Guckenberger during the 2025-2026 law school application cycle. In what shaped up to be an incredibly competitive year, Erika provided both essential insight and general stability to the whole process. She has been incredibly kind and timely in our correspondences, offering feedback that was truly instrumental in my success. I simply can’t imagine what navigating this cycle would have been like without Erika’s reassurance, and I am certain that she kept me out of my own way on multiple occasions. If you have the opportunity to work with Erika I would highly recommend doing so!

Samantha Parker was an incredible guide and mentor throughout my law school application process. As someone transitioning from another industry, I initially felt intimidated and unsure of how to effectively share my story with admissions committees, but Sam provided thoughtful, strategic advice and helped me articulate my story with clarity and confidence. She was also consistently kind, supportive, and approachable, so I always felt comfortable asking any question, no matter how small.

Due to the fact that I was also balancing a full-time job, I was worried about scheduling, but Sam was incredibly flexible and always made time for me. It was easy to coordinate calls whenever I needed guidance, and I was also able to share updates on my SpiveySheet which was a useful tool to track my progress on applications.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Joe Pollak! From the very beginning, it was clear how thoughtful, invested, and knowledgeable he is, and that only became more evident as we worked together.

I came into the process with strong stats and high expectations, but I didn’t fully know how to translate my experiences and goals into a cohesive, compelling application. Joe helped me do exactly that. He pushed me to clarify what I wanted out of law school, guided me in shaping my story in a way that felt authentic and polished, and supported me through every step of the process.

He went through countless drafts with me, always with thoughtful, detailed feedback. He was incredibly responsive, and just as importantly, he was a steady, kind, and calming presence. Whenever I found myself spiraling or overthinking, he helped ground me and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Joe’s admissions experience came through in every aspect of the process, from big-picture strategy to the smallest details. I always felt like I was making informed, intentional decisions because of his guidance.

I worked with Kristen Mercado and had a great experience with Spivey. As a mid-career applicant, I didn’t have many people in my life I could bounce ideas off of or ask to look over my essays, so I really appreciated having a second opinion and an extra set of eyes on my applications before I submitted them. Kristen also helped course-correct me a few times when I was going in the wrong direction on a particular essay or application component, based on an admissions officer’s perspective, which I never would have thought of on my own. She was also very helpful in answering the random questions I had throughout the process, especially as unexpected issues came up.

I can’t say for sure whether working with a consultant changed my results in the end, but at the very least, it made the process significantly more manageable, which for me was 100% worth it. I ended up getting accepted to three T-14s as a low-GPA/high-LSAT splitter, and I’m completely satisfied with my results.

As a first generation law student the application process could be murky, but my consultant helped clarify my many questions. I highly recommend using Spivey Consulting Group for waitlist assistance, especially if you have the opportunity to work with Nick Everdell. He was very responsive throughout the process and supportive of my goals. I received a response to every email within 24 hours, and it rarely took the full 24 hours. If you want peace of mind while navigating the waitlist process, this is a great option.

Sam Parker is incredible to work with. She is timely, thoughtful, and thorough in her feedback and advice. I had very specific goals, but a lack of clarity in how to achieve them. Sam helped me do just that and I found success on every front. Helping convert lived experiences, dreams, and goals into a law school application is a difficult task that Sam had mastered. I worked with Spivey to refine my law school applications for the '25-'26 cycle and had an absolutely amazing experience. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin this past cycle, and as someone who felt like I didn’t have a particularly compelling story, I am confident that I put forth my best application. There is so much admissions information circulating online, but knowing I could check in with Kevin on a weekly basis and hear his inside scoop, backed by actual admissions office experience, always helped calm my nerves and keep a level head—especially when it seemed to make sense to rush things. I worked with Paula Gluzman and I have to say her guidance was essential in my application being successful and getting me accepted into Penn Carey Law School. Of course, my opinion reflects only my experience but I can say with certainty if I had not made the investment to work with Paula I would not have been able to start my law school in September of 2026. Specifically, there is a lot of minute details and nuances that must be taken into account when applying for law school, especially when submitting a large number of applications. The details become even more overwhelming when you realize that each school has its own unique application process. However, working with Paula was extremely helpful because she streamlined the complicated application process and made it manageable given the relatively short amount of time that I had. In addition, I should say that the feedback that Paula provided me after reviewing my essays and application material was also extremely helpful and constructive. Her feedback was honest, detailed, and straightforward and she was very quick and responsive when replying to my emails. She was also very clear about her availabilities which made planning easier. Overall, given my personal circumstances and the tight timeline that I was on, Paula's guidance and feedback was absolutely a game-changer for me and enabled me to put together a polished, top-notch application that eventually got me into Penn Carey Law School.
