Tap to pay didn't work when I needed it
Downloaded the app to my phone and completed the setup. Processed a test transaction with my own card, and it worked first time. The next day we were running a stall at a local market (which is the reason I downloaded the app), but "tap to pay" wouldn't work. I could only put through transactions by entering the card number manually. Most people don't carry physical cards anymore, so they either had to resort to cash, or pay me using payid. I tried it again this morning and it worked again! It really let me down on the day I really needed it

I normally find setting up and…Generation Friendly
I normally find setting up and navigating myself around technology very confronting as I am of the older generation,but to be honest and much to my pleasure it was easy to download,set up and use . Absolutely delighted that on the day of the market I was completely confident with using the the square. I personally would recommend this to any of my business friends. I found the fees for using very square very fair and the service outstanding.

We used Square in order to take credit…
We used Square in order to take credit card payments in our busniess. A client paid on an 55k on an amex card and Square took the money from the Amex card and is now requesting we provide Square with pages of documents about our company including bank transation, statments, contracts or else they will not pay us!
They offered to refund the amount back to the client but they will need to keep the $1400 transaction fee.
Be cautious if planning on dealing with Square. They will gladly take your money and the phone staff have zero care factor.

We apologize for the frustrating experience. It looks like our Account Services team reached out by email and on your online Dashboard requesting some more information. For your security, the form can only be completed through the secure portal on the Dashboard. Once the form is complete/submitted, they will follow up with you within 1-2 business days verifying that they got the information they needed. From there, they'll be able to advise on the status of your transfer as well. We're not able to expedite this process as they're reviewed in the order they're received, but if it's past those 1-2 business days and you haven't gotten that confirmation email, please let us know and we can escalate it to the Account Services team.
Long time gap between transaction & account appearance
The money from the transaction takes a long time to hit my account. It's not helpful to do my end of day sell calculation.
Also not showing the transaction at the time of transaction gives an uncomfortable feeling.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before choosing Square.
I recently had to return both a faulty Square Terminal and a faulty Square Reader. I submitted two return requests but only received one return label. What should have been a simple issue turned into nearly two hours with customer support, who repeatedly insisted they couldn't issue another return label because it was linked to a different email address. I explained several times that I only have three email addresses and that it had to be a typo or system error, but no effort was made to find another solution.
After the call, a manager contacted me and resolved the entire issue in just a few minutes by sending me a new return label. It also turned out the "different email address" was simply a typo all along.
The support representative wasn't rude, but the lack of problem-solving ability was incredibly frustrating. My issue wasn't complicated, yet I wasted hours because the support team seemed more focused on telling me what couldn't be done than finding a way to help.
If you value knowledgeable customer support and effective problem solving when things go wrong, I'd think twice before choosing Square.
