The transfer was posted as easy BUT…
The transfer was posted as easy and 'it was' the only problem is getting the previous supplier to refund unused monies taken by direct debit. Effectively this Energy Supply System is a banking system whereby discontinued suppliers hold unused funds for as long as possible!

Significantly below the quote from my old supplier
I had signed up for my district council's emails about switching together but was happy with my existing supplier's fixed rate. When I actually followed up and got a quote, however, it was significantly below what my existing supplier was going to charge after the fixed rate ended. In both cases, the quotes were for 100% renewable electricity, which mattered to me, so I was happy to switch.

Switched and saved
Switched and though I was already with British Gas I managed to save again on my British Gas contract. Sometimes you forget or even cannot be bothered to check that you are on the best deal. By switching together you know you are on the best deal available and do not have to go looking for one.

I have transferred my energy supply as at the end of July. I’m still waiting for meter reads to be confirmed but my new supplier suggests that all is well. I will know more when I submit readings at the end of August and if/when my credit balance is repaid to me by my old supplier. Fingers crossed.

Switched to British Gas but it was Eon…
Switched to British Gas but it was Eon who told me they’d switched us over . Didn’t get anything from BG till after the switch day plus it’s only apparently for 10 months not a year!!

The scheme was easy to join, easy to understand and needed no complicated forms to be filled in. We were kept informed of the progress and when a supplier was chosen it was so easy to see what was offered.
