I dont know if its anything you did but I have ended up with electricity being switched to British Gas and gas remaining eith my current provider Octopus. BG tell me they have made the request, Octopus tell me they have not requested my gas a/c. I am chasing this up every other day with no success. I am not impressed at all with British Gas so far.

Very easy process and saves you money
Communications are very straightforward. You opt if you want to get a quote, when quote arrives, it’s a very easy process to choose if you’re happy and want to proceed. I’ve done this multiple times and it’s worked really well.

Gas & Electric supplier switch to very competitive fixed 12mo contract via the local "Switch Together" initiative.
Everything was very simple, full information available in understandable format and switch actioned very fast.

I took part in the latest Collective…
I took part in the latest Collective Energy Switch. This went ahead very quickly and very smoothly. No problem whatsoever.
Before switching I asked about Solar Panels and the SEG Scheme I had running with my current supplier.
I received the following information:
Thank you for getting in touch about the availability of export, solar, and Electric Vehicle (EV) tariffs through our collective switching scheme.
At present, export tariffs are not included as part of the scheme. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure the specific rates or benefits typically associated with these types of tariffs.
Export / solar tariffs
If you accept your personal offer and switch to the winning supplier, you may be able to arrange an export tariff separately as part of your energy contract.
Please note that this must be set up directly with the supplier, as we are unable to arrange this on your behalf. For more information or to apply, we recommend visiting the supplier’s website.
This presented absolutely no problem to me and I went ahead as suggested.
The overall rating for the service provided by Energy Switch is an Excellent 5 Stars.

Transfer went off with only a minor glitch
Very easy process, obtained better deal than if staying with existing supplier.
Only problem was that, having used the service before at a previous address, incorrect meter details were evidently passed to the new supplier - but this was resolved quickly and effectively.

Only down side was that my previous tariff allowed me to pay on Variable direct debit. This new tariff is Fixed direct debit. Spoke to British gas who informed me this wasn't possible !!
