Trip of a lifetime

The ship was great. Everything worked well in the stateroom. Bathroom and shower were big by ship standards. The staff in the dinning room were delightful. The expedition staff were very diverse and well informed. Eduction highlight.

The zodiac trips were the reason to come. All was perfect. Safe, well organized and a hoot.

Highly recommend albatross.

Had a great trip, but…

Had a great trip, second time I’ve booked with Swoop. They advertise that a second booking gets you a discount and that they don’t inflate prices versus booking directly. They provide a great service and I had a great Antarctica cruise but didn’t receive any second booking discount and paid $2000 more than my cabin mate on the ship (both of us were solo travelers).

I’m really glad to hear you had such a wonderful time in Antarctica, and we truly appreciate you choosing to travel with us again.

You’re absolutely right that we now offer a discount for returning travellers. We introduced this in November, which was after you booked your trip. I completely understand how frustrating it must feel to miss out on something like that, so we’ll reach out to you directly to see if there’s anything we can do to make it right — please keep an eye out for an email from Nicole.

You also mentioned the price difference between your booking and your cabin mate’s. Pricing can change over time depending on availability, when cabins are released, and when travellers book. As cabins are reserved, cancelled, or added back into availability, fares can shift — especially now that many of our expedition partners use dynamic pricing. That means two people on the same voyage, or even sharing a cabin, can sometimes end up paying different prices depending on when they booked and what availability looked like at that time.

That said, I completely understand why this might feel surprising, and we’d be very happy to review the details of your booking with you, please just let Nicole know when she get's in touch.

Sarah Dunn did a phenomenal job of making sure I was fully prepared for my Antarctica trip. From the time I arrived in Argentina to the end of my Antarctica experience was stunning and breathtaking and I got to fully immerse myself in the magnificent trip because I was fully prepared.

Sustainable, affordable and professional

I chose Swoop because of their sustainability policies. They offered activity packed program with a minimal impact.
I felt taken care of from the moment of speaking to the first agent until the very end of my trip- even though the trip itself was carried out by another company. Swoop sends both useful and interesting information and the dedication of their agents and the level of customer service is very commendable.

My experience with Swoop for Antarctica Trip

Swoop helped plan my Antarctica trip, and I worked with them on and off over several months. My main contact was Otto, who was patient with my many questions throughout the planning process. He understood my requirements and eventually presented an opportunity that perfectly met my needs.

After I booked my trip through Swoop, their support continued. They regularly reached out with guidance on next steps and ensured I had assistance right up to the day of departure. They sent timely reminders and consistently responded to my emails within 24 hours. At no point did they make me feel like I was pestering them after booking.

I would highly recommend Swoop to anyone planning travel to Antarctica.

My experience withSwoop Adventures was excellent, top notch in all regards, comcerning my recent( Dec. 6th 'Dec.23rd. '25) trip to Antarctica. From the initial Antarctica inquiry, to the completion of the journey, I have nothing but sincere gratitude for the team at Swoop. They are courteous, promt, and efficient. A great team to work with. Fantastic experience with the Swoop…

Fantastic experience with the Swoop team especially Maddison and Sarah. They helped us through every step from choosing the right cruise and activities to answering all of our (sometimes silly) questions. They were so patient and accessible. And Quark expeditions, the expedition team they recommended us were the best. It was more than what we had expected. Wonderful staff and everything was so well organized. Truly one of the best experiences of our lives. Thank you

We have booked travel in January with…

We have booked travel in January with Swoop and before we have even departed I’m shocked by the poor customer service. Two week delays on emails, no replies on some, apology emails saying they are very busy! It is an extraordinarily expense trip to Antarctic and frankly I am beyond disappointed. I’m posting this review in the hope that someone will take us seriously and help us

Fabulous service booking our cruise!


We had done some research for an Antarctic cruise and found it all complicated and confusing. Swoop cleared everything up through the help of Cassia: she is knowledgeable and helpful and took the time to understand our needs before finding some great options for us to choose from. The whole process was simple and we felt very supported by Cassia throughout!

I had a truly terrible experience with…


I had a truly terrible experience with SWOOP Antarctica. I booked a very expensive trip with them—over $9000—months in advance, in October. I was traveling with friends and was extremely excited. At the time, I was a U.S. green card holder, so I made sure to check all the requirements for visiting Antarctica. Every source online says Antarctica is a no-visa territory. Nobody told me I would actually need a visa for Argentina due to the journey between the airport and the cruise departure point.

SWOOP never informed me about this, even though they knew my citizenship status. I didn’t discover I needed an Argentinian visa until the very last minute. I had to cancel everything, fly to Los Angeles, and go to the Argentinian consulate. They told me that if I had come even a little earlier—not just 10 days before—they could have issued the visa. But by then it was too late.

The worst part is that SWOOP refused to refund me anything. I even told them to keep the money and let me reschedule for the next year, but they wouldn’t allow it. They said I had to find another female traveler to replace me, and if not, I would lose the entire amount and still face penalties.

I was devastated. I ended up losing the entire cost of the trip because no one alerted me about the visa requirement for the Argentinian portion of the journey. I have never had such a disappointing and stressful experience with any travel company. Their lack of guidance and refusal to work with me at all was unacceptable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback Ellie. Whilst we guide travellers through the process, visas and entry permits for travel to Antarctica via South America must be arranged directly by the traveller, as requirements can vary based on individual circumstances.

We provided information on passport validity and visa requirements for Argentina shortly after your booking, along with follow-up reminders. When you informed us of a potential visa issue, our team explored alternative options with the operator and advised contacting the consulate urgently in the hope of finding a solution.

We did our best to support you; however, because we were notified very close to departure and the full trip cost had already been paid to our partner, in line with our terms and conditions, we weren’t able to offer a refund.

We’re sorry for the stress this caused you and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Antarctica cruise

We've reached out in the live chat on the site, we were instantly connected with Rebecca Porritt. An agent that was incredibly helpful, really friendly and informed. She did her best to understand our needs/wants and guide us to a cruise that would suit us best. And then she got us a great price for the cruise :)

Perfectly Planned

Swoop planned our bespoke trip to Patagonia perfectly. I usually plan my own trips, so this was a first for me to let someone handle the logistics, and it was liberating. Would definitely use Swoop again.
