I bought Texpeed "waterproof" trousers from these guys, the Amazon reviews had several mentions of a manufacturing defect and splitting seams

After a couple of months regular use the seam on one leg separated, clearly a manufacturing defect

The "customer service" approach I then experienced was dastardly! first they asked me to email pictures, then they ignored me for weeks, they later claimed it was because they hadn't received my emailed pictures

They then offered me a TWENTY FIVE PERCENT refund
Outrageous! my statutory rights are for a full replacement or full refund!

These goods are not as described, they don't stay waterproof due to this known defect, they are not fit for their purpose

I was then offered a replacement pair IF I paid the postage! no thanks, I'm not being penalised for buying your defective goods!

This directly contradicts their own website which promises to pay-postage (up to £6) on "Texpeed" returns, up to six months after purchase

I ordered waterproofs, they are great but I ordered the wrong size, so asking for an exchange, otherwise they were perfect.

The trousers I bought are 32w and 30l. I have tried various textile trousers and Kevlar/Aramid jeans in the past with no success. The textiles are invariable too large in the waist, a 32 being closer to a 34 and the jeans are usually too tight because allowance is never made for the fitting of hip or knee armour. Unlike all other jeans I have looked these ones have an internal protective lining which covers the entire area from the waist to the knees including to my delight the inside of the thighs. I mention this because I ride a BMW F800 and in warmer weather the air directed from the engine strikes that part of my anatomy which can be uncomfortable. It's on February so I don't yet know if my hopes will be realised and no feel so much hot air. These trousers fall down in the area of the armour pockets, the hip pockets extend very low and the knee pockets are too high. The armour supplied is, as you would expect, not up to much and I replaced it with Furygan D30 inserts. My wife, who is much better with a needle and thread than I am, added material to lengthen the knee pockets and sewers up the hip pockets to make them shorter. Everything now fits beautifully. I've given these trousers 4 stars because of the armour pockets which were altered fairly easily so the rating could be nearer 5 than 4. Well done Bikeweardirect and thank you.

Bought the tekspeed cordura trousers and was pleased to find my size stocked for a good start. Well positioned armour and good quality stitching which is something I look for. Buying jacket next which can zip onto the trousers. Bought the cheaper one of the two first to check the quality and really satisfied.

Ordered these gloves for a friend of mine as he bought some not long ago and they didn't last very long bought these at a fraction of the price of the others and are better design and quality.

Thank you Bikeweardirect.The trousers are beautiful and armored. They are hard wearing. The only suggestion i would make is order a size up to your normal size.

Purchased a pair of bike gloves for my son as a gift. Lovely quality & good fit. He was delighted with them and so was I.
