First class service, lots of communication and early notification of driver and details. Would definitely use again.

Peter made our requirements possible. They worked diligently on our request with our very limited timeline. Peters excellent work is greatly appreciated.

Cancelled our entire booking with 6 days notice, offered no alternatives and no reasonable explanation. Refund took 6 working days. Do NOT recommend.

Used this company for a trip to and from Skegness to Oldham. Turned up on both times at the arranged time and the driver was always in contact with us. Great company

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Charlie was a fantastic driver - on time, friendly and efficient. The coach was clean and comfortable and the journey was hassle free. Thank you to all involved in organising our trip from London to Oxford.

Faruque was a very polite and good driver. We were going to experience bad traffic but he looked into going a different way and we arrived in good time for our day

Excellent communication from the company. The driver of our minibus was on time and even managed to dodge a diversion to get us home that little bit faster as there were road closures. He was also lovely.

To be honest i wouldn't give them one star. I booked for 26 people for a return journey to Harrogate. Received a very nice call back a few days after booking, confirming all the pick up / drop offs etc. I Paid the balance in full a few days before the due date. The following day received an Email informing me that they couldn't honour my booking however if i was to pay another £670 they would be able to provide a coach. Would absolutely NOT recommend this company.

Great company, updated all the time ,our driver Stuart was excellent, will definitely use again.

NEVER USE:
- Coach there was great but return left 20 high needs students (some non verbal) crying as the driver drove dangerously down the motorway.
- This was after arriving an hour later than their already rescheduled time (without telling me, I had to find out from one of our clients who reached out to them).
- The driver then couldn't leave for a further hour (so we're now running 4 hours late). Young people got home at 8pm rather than 3pm and there was no apology.
- The company didn't care and said i hadn't put in a complaint in on time despite emailing them about being late on the day and saying i wanted to put in a complaint (apparently they have no record of this and a recorded call that also highlights my desire to put in a complaint).
- Got told they wouldn't do anything about the driver. After further emails and pressure they vaguely suggested they'd see what hat happened to the driver.
- Here's a quote from one of the teachers "Upon arriving at Oaktree School I noticed that the driver made a call to someone that spoke the same language as him, Hindi/Urdu. Partially understanding bits of the language, I understood that the driver was justifying his actions on the road saying that “Someone cut in front of him causing him to swerve”. He also mentioned something along the lines of the amount of time it took to get back. On the way back from Wales, the driver has been driving very recklessly cutting in front and close of other vehicle's. This is completely unsafe especially due to weather condition which was heavy rain."
- This was all after trying to change the price of my booking 3 months after I paid the deposits.
- They really don't care that this also affects our reputation (we're a really small company).
- Really sad to know they can take almost £3k for a booking and care so little about what they do. Absolutely never use this company.

A great experience by speaking to the operations member RAY a great guy who solved my issue quickly and effectively.
Will always prefer to use the coach company and be able to speak to Ray so he can understand me and provide me the best solution and service.

Write down everything you want in a coach company on a piece of paper: fair pricing, good communication, honesty, reliability, clean coaches, modern coaches, safe coaches. Now, take that piece of paper, screw it into a little ball, then shove it where the sun doesn’t shine – you’ve been had baby!
Thecoachcompany.co.uk is one snivelling, pitiful globule of everything to avoid when booking travel. Amazingly, they don’t actually own any coaches - they’re only the brokers, although they like to keep this fact on the down low. Thecoachcompany.co.uk take your booking, then contact ‘coach operators’ to ‘fulfil’ your booking which means zero accountability on their part. So they are simply middlemen skimming profits without owning or operating anything of value, acting as a glorified booking agent that piggybacks off the real service providers. For a visual image of these profit-parasite-seat-scavengers, imagine Fagin gleefully rubbing his long bony hands together in ‘Oliver Twist’ whilst counting gold coins.
The ‘operators’ they use to ‘fulfil’ your booking? The coaches look like they’ve been cobbled together on ‘Scrapheap Challenge’ and the drivers emit ‘I failed my DBS check’ vibes.
Do not use. That is all.

Process was smooth, driver was on point and we really enjoyed our experience with The Coach Company.

Very high standards bus very clean lovely driver very good time keeping and well mannered driving was perfect got to out destination on time even through heavy traffic but all in all we had the perfect journey thank you again looking forward to our next outing with your company x

I cannot fault the professionalism or courtesy of the coach driver, who despite having to wait through several delays still managed to get us to our destination half an hour earlier than we were projected to arrive. However it seems the company may have given the wrong pick up details to some of the passengers. Myself and several families were told to wait at stand C Picadilly for collection only for an unmarked coach to arrive at a different stop of the other side of the road which was waiting at least 5 minutes before the driver called over to ask if we were going to Alton Towers. After this, we made two other stops where none of the passengers scheduled to be picked up were there, and despite the driver going out of his way to wait for them and give them a chance to arrive, they never did, so we had to leave without them. This makes me think the company may have given other customers the wrong pick up location too. Despite this, the notifications we received in five minutes intervals until the coach arrived to remind us how far off the coach was were very helpful and reassuring. I'm posting this here and not on the company website because every time I try to submit my review it says it has failed for some reason.

A lot wrong- Dramatic price increase (of over £400) several weeks AFTER I’d booked and paid a deposit. I was then stuck with this as other companies had got booked up in the meantime.
Staff were very keen to offer flexibility about pick ups etc (to get me to book) and then denying this had been offered.
I was not told clearly that they are not using their own coaches (they talk about having a ‘depot’) but they are actually acting as a middleman which means that making changes is difficult as they need to contact the companies who are supplying the vehicles. So making any change or getting response to a query can take days.
I booked 2 minibuses but was not given both drivers’ numbers on the day despite the 2 coaches coming from 2 different companies.
Reps did not deal with things quickly and did not returning phone calls which made dealing with very simple queries very difficult and time-consuming.
Only good thing was the final rep I dealt with (Priya) who was the only one who actually was polite enough to reply to messages and deal with things immediately.
The actual drivers were fine but it would have been better if I’d booked direct with them and not through this company.
