Just received a replacement filter for my Black and Decker Mouse Sander KA2500 - but it DOESN’T HAVE A FILTER! The picture on their web-site is identical to the part required, but they sent what is essentially an empty plastic canister. NO FILTER INSIDE. £9.99 and of no use!! Can’t get an answer on their phone line!! AVOID

Ordered a Black & Decker KA280K multi sander on 18th April, showing as available with 3-5 day delivery (it is still showing as available on their website today, 3rd June with the same lead time).

I emailed them 5 days later as I hadn't had any dispatch confirmation, they replied the following day to say that they are "still running at full capacity and fully operational, however there may be some slight delays with deliveries from our suppliers. We have emailed Black & Decker and are currently waiting on a response, once we get a reply you will be updated immediately". I asked if that meant the did not actually have the item in stock and they confirmed that they did not.

I didn't hear anything for almost a week so I chased again and received a reply on 1st May to say that there was a delay with their deliveries from Black & Decker but they could still get it delivered for 22nd or May or I could have a refund. I opted to wait for the delivery.

There was no further communication from them so I chased again on 26th May (4 days after I was supposed to receive the order) and received this reply "We were due a delivery of this mid-may which means they are running late and should be landing with us any day now. Sorry for any inconvenience caused we will be shipping orders the same day the sanders land."

I asked if they could speak to their supplier and check where the delivery actually was as that was very vague (and felt like they were fobbing me off) and they replied on 29th May to say that in fact the delivery was not on it's way (surprise surprise) and gave me a revised date of 12th June or offered a refund. This time I opted for the refund as it was now over 6 weeks since I placed the order and by this point I just didn't believe anything they were telling me.

They did respond to emails quickly but only when I chased them and they never once proactively contacted me about not having the item in stock or any of the delays. When I commented that their customer service was terrible they tried to blame it on Covid, despite already telling me they were "still running at full capacity and fully operational" and having no issues in responding to me emails quickly. Totally unprofessional company, awful customer service from start to finish.

Tried to buy some parts for a Dewalt DCE580 for a total of £155.
Got £12 of the stuff I ordered and they tried to palm me off with a part that wasn't for my tool. I returned it and they said that they would reorder it for me. After hearing nothing for a few days I phoned again to be told "Oh we can't get that part. We have issued a full refund." That was over a week ago and still no money back in my account.......avoid at all cost. No communication from them and no customer service ability!

Okay, changed my opinion massively! Phoned today and spoke to someone called Ash, they should make him manager!

Ordered a simple ring,for my DeWalt chop saw,weighs few grammes, tops but £3.99,postage,!but I don't have time to go to shop in working hours..paid and waited...and waited..a week later I called them,only to be told the part hadn't arrived,from their suppliers and they couldn't say when it would..no email to tell me this,just couldn't be arsed with customer service...But they are advertising for sale,stock they don't have and they know,they don't have!!I asked for refund,3 days on and still not back in my account.ive read other reviews and other tradesmen say they've had similar problems with web shop,it's to be avoided if your looking for customer service or professional supplier to the trades..to be fair,I haven't been in the store,so I can't comment personaly,on the in-store service but I've not heard of negative comments of it.But web shop is 0 out of 10.for taking my money when they knew it wasn't in stock,for not being bothered to inform me they didn't know,when it would arrive and not refunding within a few days,or even sending me a confirmation email re refund and maybe even a short apology for such poor service..it's a pity Screwfix or Toolstation don't do spares online, because they wipe the floor with this bunch for customer service and support and professionalism.

Placed an order on the 10 may and waited 6 days without an email to tell me what was going on. I emailed them and it Turns out my part was out of stock. ( Should of been notified on the part page or at the very least emailed about it) I was told stock was due in on the 18th. It's now the 22nd and I'm still waiting for either an email or the part. I have requested a refund and will update this review as to how that goes.
Upon a bit of further research this company seem to have 2 websites claiming to sell parts.
Toolsandpartsdirect.co.uk and ptctools.co.uk
A refund was issued but only after 2 and a half weeks of emailing them.
Lesson learned. Go direct to the manufacturer for your parts.
