FIRST CLASS SERVICE
On this the 5th November 2025, we used Travel Express for a funeral. The service was outstanding, the driver arrived in plenty of time.
He was very professional and helpful nothing was too much trouble.
The coach was extremely clean and tidy, I would definitely use this Company again and recommend to others.

An amazing experience to a trip to London. It was a long journey, Simon was friendly, fun and considerate. I would highly recommend.

Please avoid using this company, I just got back from a December umrah 2023 trip. We were promised all the correct package in medina but on the way to Makkah on coach we were told that the hotel we were staying at has only 10 rooms for a group of 25+ people, and we have to share quad rooms with other group members that we didn’t even know. We paid for a 5 star hotel and anjum and ended up having to stay at a 3* hotel which was really dirty and unhygienic. Three days we received no breakfast. It took us 20 mins to get to Haram. Travel express let us down big time and just blamed anjum hotel.

It was my first time doing umrah and I felt let down so please do your homework and go with a trustworthy group, especially if your paying so much to companies the least they should do is deliver on what they have taken the money for.

They do not care about what you go through. They got there money from us and that’s all. They use radio silence techniques.

I’m sharing this experience as someone who went first time to do umrah and do not wish for anyone else to experience this. Overall, this experience did not end well.

I went to umrah in December 2023 with another member of my family as a group package provided by Travel Express. It was a trip of two contrasting halves. The first half was spent in Medina and the company delivered all that was promised… i.e the correct 5star hotel and ziyarats (tours) to key places. However on our journey to Makkah whilst we were getting ready in Ihram, we were told that there was a problem with the 5star hotel we booked in Makkah and we would now need to share quad rooms ( with strangers ie 4 women sharing and 4 men). This caused anxiety amongst the group. I was not prepared to do this as I had paid extra for a double room, so a handful of the group ended up in a 3 star hotel further away from vicinity of the Kaabah and it took a bus and walk to get to and from the Kaabah. This hotel was in desperate need of repairs and modernisation. Breakfast was not provided for 3 days which was meant to be included. One elderly traveller spent most her days in the hotel due to the distance and even when she went to the Kaabah the bus and journey was too much so her family provided a taxi. Morale was low in the group and those sharing were understandably having problems. Some people in the group who were performing umrah for the first time thought the group lead would help them to perform each part but were left to do this alone. Luckily, there were some kind, selfless people in the group who tried to help others to perform their umrah. The group lead felt none of this was his fault and we should contact Travel Express when we returned. Returning from the trip l and many members of the group contacted Travel express by phone, email and in person to be reimbursed for a service we did not receive. Unfortunately, only a few people have been refunded the difference between the two hotels but most people have not even got an email response. My advice to Travel Express is to respond to the concerns and pay up what people are due- you have a duty! If you are considering using Travel Express, make sure you get your ATOL certificate and your terms of reference in writing- do not rely on goodwill as many of this group did and ended up out of pocket.

I went on the Group Umrah package for Dec 2023. Everyone in the group paid extra for twin sharing. In Makkah we were told we had to share our rooms as ‘the hotel’ had given our rooms to another company. So essentially we paid for twin sharing and got given quad.

Here’s where I feel like we were scammed. We were only told this situation when we were on board the coach and told to accept it for the sake of Allah by Mahdi. That ‘there are people sleeping outside the mosque so we should be grateful’.

Mahdi said he doesn’t work for the company and not to talk to him about compensation.

I went to the lobby of Anjum hotel and asked about it. They said there’s only a booking made for 10 not 26 rooms. If the company reserved it but didn’t pay they would have lost the booking.

We DID NOT get any communication let alone apology from travel express to say what happened. Taha began ignoring everyone’s messages. Since coming back they’ve not replied to any emails

The Arab guy who works for travel express and lives in Saudi pretended to call the office and act like he was doing everything possible to help. He feigned innocence and behaved as if he didn’t know what was going on.
On the last day I went to the lobby to get a print out that only 10 rooms were booked and guess who turned up. The Arab guy and he had such a threatening demeanour the receptionist looked so scared. The Arab guy told him in Arabic not print or give me anything.

My coach had arrived and I had to leave for Jeddah. The Arab guy kept pressuring me to leave the reception (that they didn’t know anything and they’re just simple workers) and get on my coach. He said that he would address the coach about getting a refund. But stayed outside smiling and laughing with Mahdi and then they both walked away side by side.

I will never be booking with this scam of a company again. At the end of the day Allah will bring justice in this life and the next. This company and their three puppets Mahdi, Taha and the other guy brought a lot of hardship to people who spent thousands to come to the holiest land on Earth. I just can’t believe they would do this to pilgrims in Makkah!

I have used Travel Express UK for a number of trips, going all the way back to 2008. One of their employees in the name of Mohammed Hadi was a professional agent (i believe he has now moved on). I booked the 3 holy mosque tour and also went many umrah trips with them including Hajj in 2012 with Dr. Khaled Khan. The brothers here at Travel Express are very sincere in the work they do and i am grateful the experiences i have had with them. I've not had any issues and overall what they promised is always delivered, going above and beyond. Jazakallaahu khair, may Allaah increase you in your rizk. Ameen

The objectives for performing Umrah and visiting the 3 Mosques were achieved but the process for achieving them required some rethink.
I would like to compliment Travel Express for the organised Ziyarats and for providing the services of Sheikh Abdul Rahman and the local guides who were very knowledgeable. My disappointment was not having the opportunity to sleep during the 24 hrs prior to doing Umrah due to travelling from Jerusalem to Jordan to Jeddah and Makkah.

Trying to contact all day today to find out how to get hajj deposit back - no one picking up from any of the three numbers!

The trip was amazing. This was my first trip for umra and travel express did a very good job in organising my travel and transport. All went to plan and they kept in touch through out my trip in Saudi Arabia.
I would recommend using them.

Thanks to Travel Express we had a comfortable stay at Mekkah and Medina. The hotels were excellent and were very near everything. Great transport were provided at all times. The communication was great from the rep in Uk and Saudi.

Alhamdulillah, whole experience from the time we initially booked the package to the time we landed back in the uk was fantastic.
The staff kept contact with us on a daily basis by phone and ensured transfers and Ziyarats ran smoothly.
I definitely would use Travel Express again and would recommend Inshallah.

Alhamdulillah this umrah journey has been by far a truly amazing experience. The sheikh has been very attentive towards each and everyone of us. Hotels hospitality was exceeding my expectations. Alhamdullila travelled to complete an Umrah tour in just under 9 days.
Both hotels are extremely convenient to Masjid Haram and Masjid E Nabawi.Ziyarat days offered as well as free days for personal family ziyarat.
Have highly recommended the group to family and friends for future Hajj and Umrah packages.
