Company trying to price gouge
The Secure Socket layer (https) on my website stopped working and I found the security certificate had expired. TSOHOST says I need a new one at £31.24, on top of everything else I pay them. On line they are available from €10 so I refused to be price gouged and will research my options. Watch out! They are trying to trick you into paying MORE money to them! Then they say they do not support 3rd party certificates. Sounds like blackmail to me....
This company has no customer service
This company has no customer service. They have emailed me everyday for the last 3 months asking for money on a domain I no longer have. Beware as this maybe a scam. They have no contact number and you cannot contact without a login account. Iv never had an account with this company.
How is it possible to cancel this when Iv never had account with you? I don’t have any login details, I asked the company that dealt with a website I had previously and they have no clue about this company.

TSO service just getting worse and worse....
In the years I've used TSO I've never had cause to complain. I don't know what's gone wrong with them now, but not only did they hike my prices but now I can't get a response to support tickets, when in the past they responded almost immediately. They seem to have turned off Chat as a means of getting help. There's no telephone number on their site, so you can't phone them. And they told me recently my business with them is being transferred (sold, I assume) to 123 Reg. Something is seriously wrong I fear.
EDIT: So TSO Host seems defunct. No responses to any communications. GoDaddy bought them in 2017 I understand. GoDaddy also own 123 Reg. Why GoDaddy is allowing TSO Host to behave in the way it does is beyond me. I don't hold out much hope for my business being transferred to another part of GoDaddy, i.e. 123 Reg. Like many others, I now have to write off what I've paid for services that aren't working (no email today) and move to a reputable company.

Worst service from a host. Dont use Tsohost
Worst service from a host, the newly stated upgrade, is a huge downgrade. Email stopped working and then SSL was removed from the server with no notice and we was told its now not included and offered ssl per site at £50. We are now moving host to get away from over pricing and pore service.
Dreadful service - Go elsewhere.
Our non-profit has used them for several years with reasonable service but my recent experience was awful and I have moved away. In July they blocked our outgoing email without telling us and the emails we thought we had sent were unsent. When I "chatted" with Customer Service they said we had been sending Spam but would not provide an example. Made me change various passwords and eventually I worked out that the "spam" was 18 legitimate emails we had sent out. I asked for the outgoing email to be reinstated but was told that was a separate department's responsibility. FIVE days later we still had no service and they wanted me to change even more passwords (including "all applications on our computers") with no guarantee of when service would be restored. I tried to escalate pointing out that there was no spam and this was affecting our business but they refused to do anything to restore our outgoing emails until we went through more password changes and scans of our office PCs. I could not speak to anyone - only chat. So I gave up and transferred our service to hostinguk.net - who were really responsive. The final indignity was that when I cancelled the service the made me endure another "chat" before they would cancel.

Customer for over 10 years. Site going down for days at a time and they don't respond to tickets, just ignore them.

This company used to have great customer service but now it's terrible. I've been waiting for a response for 6 days and still haven't heard anything.

Been trying to close our last redundant a/c's for 4 weeks, they cannot even do that advising to use live chat which requires hours just waiting. there is no response, tickets remain unanswered and today they have the unmitigated gall to advise the "customers" are being transferred to 123Reg after having recently completed an ill planned poorly communicated "migration". Do as we've done transfer to another small service provider which actually provides a service
Removed email forwarding
been with TShost for several years with all my domains, and have used their email forwarding service, but I logged into the control panel to change some important email forwarding address's and they have removed any option to add or change email forwarding .. whats going on ??? please reply and tell me what I now need to do

Annual renewal fraud
I used this webhosting service with annual automatic renewals since 2006. The company changed hands during this period (it was formerly Dataflame). But following a severe security problem with website downtime in August 2023 - which was TSOhost’s fault, and for which I had to pay £30 to get resolved! - I decided to change webhost provider before the renewal date of 5 February this year (2024).
I tried to cancel the service three times, following the company’s ‘ticket’ procedure, on 15 January, 2 February and 3 February 2024. First time round, it appeared that the cancellation had worked. But then I discovered that the renewal fee had already been removed from my bank account prematurely on 2 February 2024.
There were no ways for me to contact tsoHost other than via its ticket system. The ‘live chat’ alternative was unavailable to me, and there is no phone line. Emails from it prove that I had clarified via the ticket system that I was cancelling the service. But tsoHost continued to deny that there was a cancellation request. The largely boilerplate replies just went round in cirdes repeating the same unhelpful and irrelevant stuff.
I contacted my bank’s VISA card service to get a refund. Unfortunately due to a mixup with my bank the 120-day limit on making claims expired.
I have reactivated my claim against TSOhost. Their latest excuse is "our refund policy requires that the cancellation request form be completed promptly after noticing the charge in order to be eligible for a refund. Therefore, we are unable to issue a refund in this case." This is the first time that a 'cancellation request form' has been mentioned.
My bank put a stop on the automated renewals back in February. But a bank agent recently noted that TSOhost had previously taken renewal fees using my card details, so in view of the unscrupulous behaviour of TSOhost it advised me to cancel my bank card, just in case the company tries to extract more money by that route.
Do not touch this company – it is unreliable, evasive and untrustworthy. It also expensive compared to the new provider to which I have switched.

the worst hosting provider - don't risk it.
the worst web hosting provider. I’d stay very clear.
And this is coming from someone who has been with them for well over 10 years and seen them change ownership to a brutal decline in service.
I am thinking the 5 star reviews here must be years back when they provided great service.
Average wait for customer support is well over 5 days and even then they just respond in few sentence. Website content disappearing, wrong information being given and the list goes on.
I think the issue comes down to a bad technician team/ support - which is a shame
If you run a business, I would not risk using tsohost.

Tsohost no longer respond via tickets on customer support, you just get ignored. There is no way of contacting them if you have an issue, they just ignore you. They never used to be like these. Will be looking to move now.
Continued degradation in service with…
Continued degradation in service with no customer compensation. Most recently they have removed email forwarding as a standard part of Domain registration so they will not be my provider when it's time to renew.

Do not use this company!!
Do not use this company!!! Like many others i have been with them for years when the were compila and vidahost. Problems were rare but resolved efficiently. I literally had just paid for another year for my businesses - had to pay extra for SSL certificate. Since June 25th i have had nothing but problems. No use of emails. I can receive but not send - hence cannot reply to customers. I have spent HOURS on live chats and tickets - live chat an option now removed there is literally no way of contacting this company - we are all left in limbo! - I genuinely struggle to see that this is a legal way of operating??? I want answers, i want my emails working and i want a refund for service i paid for that i have not received - and please do not reply with the same generic response
15+ year customer, over 5 weeks with no response from support.
I've been a customer since 2009, I use to rave about and recommend tsoHost to all my friends. Support use to be great, with fast replies and knowledgeable staff.
Now, after a forced migration tsoHost has given me 132% price increase and has consistently ignored my support tickets for over a month. Instead of cancelling my account as repeatedly requested, they have billed me again.
So when they paste in piece of text about long queues and delays know that my ticket from June 21 remains unanswered. Over 5 weeks - no issues with tsoHost issuing invoices though...
I'm sorry to see such a great company end up like this but please look somewhere else for service, tsoHost no longer care.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
Been with them since Vidahost days, and they were the best around back then. Not any more. Server was always having performance issues (although to be fair, they have migrated people from it recently), that directly affected working on my website.
The biggest issue was support. When you managed to get through, they were quite decent, but getting through is a mission in itself. I've seen phone support wither away, the livechat get its times reduced, and a ticket system that goes unanswered for days. Unacceptable for a hosting company. If you need to employ more people, put the package prices up a little.
As they've become part of a larger company, the quality has fallen off a cliff. I can only recommend you avoid until there's a major change in the way they deal with support, and even then, there are better options available.
Security Degraded by Stealth
Warning, I've just encountered another sneaky trick as part of their abysmally communicated email migration.
The latest is that I find that they have degraded the security of my service without informing.
I woke today to find that none of my email clients were connecting to the TSO mail server all stating that the certificate had expired and that, therefore, the connection could not be trusted.
I've been with TSO for well over 10 years, maybe closer to 20, since the days of DataFlame and although there have been some ups and downs no real problems.
So I contacted them (they don't accept any telephone communications any more) expected it to be a very simple matter of renewing the certificate, but I couldn't have been more shocked.
I was told it was because I didn't have SSL and I would need to pay them an extra £60 a year for it.
I asked why it had been working for well over 10 years and again shocked by the response - the service I paid for included SSL but as part of the migration they changed my service (without notifying me) to one that does not include SSL.
Note that I pay annually, so this means that they degraded my service mid-contract so may technical be in breach of contract.
I was told that I either need to stump up an extra £60 a year or reconfigure my email settings to remove SSL security. Note that the TSO instructions for configuring emails have always, and still do, instruct the user to turn SSL on.
At no point was I told that my service was being degraded (and mid way through my contract) nor that my email would stop working unless I made further configuration changes.
Pretty disgusted by their attitude and behaviour, will now start looking for an alternative hosting for my emails, as I have lost all respect and trust for TSOHost.
UPDATE - looking at the state of TrustPilot now, you'd be better off using resources to actually provide support rather than to do 'after the event' damage limitation on TrustPilot.
Then again, I guess you don't really care seeing that the business is being sold to 123Reg.

tsohost.com swallowed my previous hosting company Compila and there has been zero contact in the entire time. Except to notify of payment needed to renew my hosting package. Suddenly they gave 7 days notice of the migration and price increase, which in my case was a whopping 350%. After the migration my emails would not download. They completely messed up my passwords and I could not even login to the control panel to raise a ticket. The irony is lost on their useless live chat as they kept asking for a ticket number. Delia you are an absolute waste of space, as is tsohost. No landline to speak to. You never had my financial details, so I am not giving you my bank details, bills, proof of identity and many other personal documents or information you demand, it may be your protocol but you’ve never had them in the first place and it’s an invasion of privacy. It is definitely not needed to unlock a service I had only renewed a month earlier through PayPal. Which is all the details you need. I have followed their email complaint procedure, not even a courtesy email or automated reply in response. I have also sent a complaint via snail mail, without a single response. I am not a business or make money, so the price hike is unacceptable and their customer service is zero. They are big because they have swallowed up the competition but the service is now zero. Big is not better and they do not deserve a single one of their customers.
So Angry!!! Being Ignored!
Been with tsohost since 2017 and up to now had no problems. I have received 16 emails from them over the past 5 days asking me to pay an invoice that I paid in advance last month! I have set up 9 tickets none have had a response. I have sent 3 emails to customer services none have had a response. I have called the phone number on the Paragon Head Office website, it is no longer in use. Now the 3 emails I received today are threatening to close my website down. I want my Authorization Code please so that I can move to a host that actually bothers to respond to their paying customers. So angry, so disappointed. It used to be really good now its gone to hell....
