Scans with friendly staff and informative results

Once the scan was done the results came through quickly and were fully explained, with suggested next steps. Was a bit annoyed that on paying I thought I was booking an available slot, but, the scan then happened, a couple of days later than expected at a less convenient time. This could be improved.

all very good

all very good, only thing you should give images also to the customers and not only to their GPS. someone may be interested in seeing themselves the scans.

Perhaps the price for the Ultra sound was expensive.

I tried to book some MRI scans via this…

I tried to book some MRI scans via this company. Initially, the service was very good. However, after I had paid, things went drastically wrong. I had selected Nottingham Road Clinic, Mansfield for the MRI scans, but never received them.
Despite a claimed speedy service, Scan.com relied entirely on e mail communication with the clinic, which apparently went unanswered. I communicated several times, each with increasing frustration, by phone and e mail with Scan.com, to no avail as they did not appear to have the gumption to phone the clinic to sort out the problem. In the end, I suspected a scam and threatened to involve the police. This produced an apologetic e mail, offering a refund or booking at a different clinic. In view of my experience, I opted for a refund, which was swiftly made - hence being fair with a two star, rather than zero rating.
I have no idea who was really to blame. If it was actually Nottingham Road Clinic, I would advise proceeding with caution in any dealings with them.

The booking process was easy and the…

The booking process was easy and the lady on reception was really lovely and welcoming. It was a shame, however, that Helen in the X-Ray department didn’t continue with the warm welcome we received initially. My daughter has additional needs and, when asking Helen simple questions relating to her instructions, she was abrupt and sarcastic. Her manner is not what you would expect from a caregiver. I would expect a little more patience considering the industry she has chosen to work in.

I booked an X Ray for a possible broken…

I booked an X Ray for a possible broken nose. A clinician called me and whilst on the phone, suggested that CT scan would be the gold standard of scanning for this but that if it was too expensive, an X Ray would still be fine. I went with an X Ray as the CT was another £440 on top! The hospital then advised me that they wouldn't do an X Ray as they would not be able to to tell if it was broken with this sort of scan. News to me thus far! I then asked Scan.com to refund me because the hospital would not do the scan, and they are trying to charge me a cancellation fee! I am not the one trying to cancel, and the clinician did not advise me it was not possible. So basically unless you are 100% that the scan you are paying for is the correct option for you before booking, do not use this service. If it ends up being the wrong type of scan, you either have to pay an extortionate amount to upgrade to the correct scan, or you have to pay a cancellation fee!

Zero stars if possible

Zero stars if possible. A month after buying I still don't have an appointment. Firstly charged me and extra £80 and then weeks later invoiced me for another £120. Complaint made and still no response, no appointment and no refund. Purchased Jan 31

I had a private MRI done of hip and…

I had a private MRI done of hip and knee. Knee report was what I expected it to show but the hip was a whole other story. The report starts by saying that the scan was degraded by significant artifact…. I never moved a muscle! It said they could see a prior total hip replacement, which is shocking as I only had a partial replacement. It said femur was intact, but a recent X-ray showed I had an avulsion fracture of the trochanter with a large bone fragment floating. I called to question these findings and to request that a repeat scan be performed. It’s been 2 weeks and all I’ve gotten is the run around. Scan.com says it’s the imaging center that read it, the imaging center says that they only do the scan and that scan.com is the one that read it. I’ve sent several emails and all I have gotten for the past week is silence! They took the money from my account fast enough though. Paying £500+ for a useless scan has really hurt me. I was just trying to get this done without waiting for NHS appt so my surgeon can plan how to help me. I’m 81 and in severe pain.

March 13 2026 still waiting for them to contact me. I have gotten a few more emails but nothing addressing the issues. They did thank me for posting a review, and asked me to evaluate my experience with customer service follow up. Guess what score I gave them??!!
As for not being able to find any emails from me…. The person responding to me is KELLEN MANNIX

We’ve reviewed your order reference and would like to provide some clarification. The artefact noted on your scan was not caused by movement. In cases where a patient has a joint replacement, the presence of metal can create distortion on imaging, which can make certain areas more difficult to assess clearly.

We can see that a MARS (Metal Artefact Reduction Sequence) protocol was used to minimise this as much as possible. While this technique reduces distortion, but it cannot completely eliminate it.

Upon review, the term “femur” does not appear in your hip report.

Regarding your correspondence, we have carefully checked our system but have not been able to locate any emails from you. To make this easier, our Patient Services Team will reach out to you directly so you can reply to them and we can assist you further.
