Mark came to see us to give us a quote for our removal and looked around our house. He gave us good price and discussed the removal, 2 vans, 1 big, 1 Luton. We started our packing and it became apparent that we though Mark had undercalculated the volume of furniture and belongings we have, so I rang him and suggested that he came to look again. He declined and said he was sure that he had calculated correctly. So we trusted his judgement.
Removal day came and only 1 van turned up. The stress levels started to rise higher on an already stressful day. The other driver had suffered a personal tragedy and couldn't come/ We were expected to be out of our house by 2.00pm. Mark had drawn a blank with his contacts to get help so it was left to us (customers) to sort out the mess at a cost to us. We went and hired a Luton van, Mark confirmed that one more Luton Van would be sufficient
Mark and his assistant worked hard packing. I kept checking with Mark making sure we had enough space. Around 12.00 it became apparent we didn't. So we went to hire another Luton, again at our own expense, we were assured this would solve the issue. My wife was to drive that one.
It became apparent that we would not make the 2 o clock deadline. 3 o clock came, as did 4 and 5. We finally left home at just gone 5.
A 4 hour journey to our new home. After an hour we got a phone call from Mark’s van to say they were stuck but a tractor was pulling them out from somewhere.
We arrived at our new home at about 8.50pm in the evening and met two friends there and we unloaded about a vans worth of boxes and bits and pieces. No sign of the other van which finally arrived at about 10.50 pm. I am a 67 year old male of dubious fitness. It wasn't easy.
At about 1am in the morning, Mark asked me if I had paid him I suggested we needed to discuss the payment since he turned up with not enough van space and a man light. He was having none of it, the extra vans we hired were put down to our own expense because he told us our house had more stuff in it than it should have had, and he had still loaded the extra vans we had hired. He took no responsibility for us having to hire the vans because of his miscalculation and turning up a van and man light. It was at this point his tone and mannerisms became aggressive and threatening, he held us to ransom stating that he would not unpack anymore of our belongings until we transferred the money stated on his invoice. If we didn't then he would not be leaving and our belongings would stay on the van. We were very intimidated by him but stood our ground as much as we could but he continued to be aggressive and refusing to budge, by this time we were absolutely exhausted he felt that he had fulfilled his contract and should be paid in full, eventually he agreed to pay for the hire of one of the vans. We transferred the money since we were in a remote location and wanted the job finishing. My wife and I, on our own by this point wanted the job done and him out of our home. Eventually at 2.30am Mark and his worker left. I appreciate the hard work they had both done, moving lots of heavy stuff, being on the go for 19 hours. We appreciated it was a tough job, however Mark left a sour taste in our mouth, We agreed to pay for a service that if you are reading this, I am sure you will appreciate was not fully provided. My wife and I acted as the third man and more because we both drove vans. Mark had wanted just to empty the house and leave the rest in the garage/ outbuilding. What should have been an exciting day for us was extremely upsetting and ruined by this man because of his poor organisation. The job was clearly too big for him, He turned down the chance to come to our house to check the volume of our belongings we were moving, he accused us of having too many belongings and said that it was our fault for having 20% more stuff than he had worked out and apparently too many boxes of stuff. Not his for underestimating the job. He was passive aggressive.
Would I recommend Mark and Rapid Removals . NO.

Absolutely shocking service.
Arrived with only one van, having told us the other van had to turn back due to a personal tragedy, did nothing to resolve the problem, my husband and I had to hire 2 extra Luton vans at our own expense and drive them ourselves as Mark had underestimated the amount of belongings we had despite asking him to come back to check which resulted in us having to leave a lot of our belongings with friends. We should have vacated our old house at 2pm we finally left at 5pm. We arrived at our new home at 9pm they arrived at 11pm, we had already emptied most of our two vans when they arrived. At 1am Mark wanted to know if we’d paid him, he became aggressive and threatening when it was pointed out that he did not fulfil his contract, he then held us to ransom stating he would not unload the rest of our belongings unless we paid him, he was intimidating, threatening and aggressive.
The vans were finally emptied by 2.30am 19hrs after they arrived!!
This was a truly upsetting and stressful day, caused by the incompetence of Mark, his poor organisational skills and his threatening intimidating behaviour.
I would not recommend them.

Tney came on time, were quick to load our things from old office and just as effiicent to take them up to nearby 1st floor new office. Also really nice, friendly team!

This company was very efficient from beginning to the end. They took their time to listen to what additional requirements I had. They were constantly in contact with me and they seemed very approachable with quick responses. The moving van came on time, although it took a while to pack up, they made sure that the precious items were handled with care. I had trouble paying the service because of some bank issues, but they patiently waited. The whole team has done an excellent job. I highly recommend.

Two brilliant guys, very professional and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They worked very hard with a very large sofa and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend them! Couldn't have asked for a better service.

Having UK Rapid Removals move my sons household furniture and put furniture in the space of two months was an absolute pleasure. They are very professional and careful with making sure that your possessions are packed carefully. We had no breakages at all! They were also brilliant at moving the furniture out of our old house and into the new house, without any damage to the walls, etc. I will definitely use them again!

I'd give 6 stars if I could. An absolute dream. Fantastic customer service and actual service. Super professional, responsive (excellent communication) and friendly and very competitively priced. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will use them for returning our goods from storage when the time comes. A little jem of a company, family owned.

Stephen and Ash made my move stress free! They were quick, careful and really friendly and went above and beyond. Also the customer service with Jazz and Daisy was better than I’ve had from any company.
