Still going after 8 years!!
After 8 years of heavy use, including some nasty drops, my LP2 still sounds perfect! How long do I have to wait, till i can use my lifetime warranty? ;)
Bought a pair of genuine headphones new…
Bought a pair of genuine headphones new from amazon with the backing of the lifetime warrantee to then find out that because I hadn't bought them direct, it has no warrantee. A guy called Billy I was in communication with was very unprofessional and kept pushing me to buy their additional protection. I had a pair of these beforehand and the exact thing has happened again: the jacking point has damage from inserting the cable which has caused one side of the headphones to not work.
I will never buy from V-Moda again. Partly because of their customer service (Billy being very arrogant in his responses) and because their lifetime warrantee clearly isn't what they say it is.
I have had 3 pairs of V-Moda's
I have had 3 pairs of V-Moda's. The sound quality is amazing. The physical quality is awful. You will need a new pair about every two years. This time my headphones fell apart at the hinge during a gig after only a year and a few months time. Steer clear of these unless you want to shell out $300 bucks every other year.

Product issue, terrible costumer service
I bought a headphone from them, the crossfade m100 through an EU reseller. Shortly after I realized the cable that came with it had a weird control issue with Android, not just with my phone but with anyone I've tried. So I got in touch with v moda asking for a replacement. They replied (this is hard to believe) that I should destroy the cable and record a video with my phone while doing it. Only after that they could send me a replacement from US that should be here in 6-8 weeks! I asked them if I could not destroy the cable that still works even with some issue so that I can keep using the headphone while waiting for replacement. They replied that's the procedure! (The cable costs 15€). So I went through the reseller and they could not get in touch with them. Bottom line I'm returning everything and getting an AKG.
There are much better companies to give your business to.
You would think buying a top notch higher dollar set of earphones from V-moda and you would get top notch service for such a device, wouldn't you? Well apparently not. It appears that once the warranty period runs out, tough luck on you if something breaks and you would rather repair the problem then buy a new pair of earphones. Well, I very recently got a first hand experience with their policy concerning repair and replacement parts.
I had a minor plastic piece that is sort of V-shaped and goes where the headband connects to the positioning adjustment bracket on one side break into pieces on me. No big deal, I thought, things break and I would simply contact Vmoda and buy a replacement from them and swap it out via the three small screws that hold it in place. Sounds easy enough, doesn't it? Well guess what? V-moda (Billy) told me, and I quote, "Unfortunately we do not sell or send replacement parts for headphones." Gee, swell! So if something breaks on your high dollar Vmoda headphones, I guess your only option is to live with the broken part, or scrap it and buy a new one. Sure sounded to me something like "Well screw you, Mr. Customer! We want you to buy a new headphone, not repair it."
But never fear! Your friends at V-moda have what I guess they believe is a just swell solution for you! They call it their "Immortal Life Program". And what that gets you is that you can send your old V-moda headphone back to them, and they will knock off 20 percent from your purchase of an upgraded model. I read that as a "more expensive model", and not just a replacement of your current modeal. Which, of course, when something breaks on that one, there you are right back in the same boat again not having a source for repair or replacement parts. But fear not! You can trade that one in for yet another more expensive pair! Sounds fair, doesn't it? No, not to me neither. I wonder what they do when you finally get to their most expensive upgraded model?
So, anyway, bear that in mind if you are considering buying a V-moda headphone set. Once the warranty period is over with, and if it breaks on you, well, tough luck, Chuck. Time to buy a new one. They won't help you fix it. Personally, I will be looking at alternative brands for headphones. This kind of customer "disservice", I certainly don't need, and will NEVER spend even one thin dime again with this company. IMHO.

Satisfied
Ordered v moda crossfade 2's. I'm extremely pleased with it. Sound quality is amazing and it looks the part too. Only slight hiccup with I had with it was the ear cushions were abit uncomfortable, I bought the xl cushions which fixed the problem. Also abit of the plastic on the headband had come apart but managed to superglue it back together. Overall I'm satisfied with the order

PRICE
I bought these headhones at a bargain price £95 plus £5 for 4 year extension warranty from Gear4music.
STYLE
These are the flashest, most stylish headphones of all time, they not only look awesome, they sound as great as they look. You can customise the outer plates and change them, simply unscrew and fit new ones. The cost around £20 per pair and are metal. The alternating metal and shiny plastic look classy. I get looks from people in the streets. You know what they are thinking, 'wahhh'.
SOUND QUALITY
5Hz - 30KHz frequency range means greater representation for the audible frequencies and much clearer sound. Important for people who's frequency range is getting narrower and lower at older ages. My ears have up to 12,000Hz.
No mush and great sound separation and at high volume. Low distortion at high volume and LOUD 50mm drivers.
Great stereo fazing from speaker to speaker and improved surround sound, with HD quality sound.
Vibrant deep bass and crisp clear highs.
Midrange is a little low with some music and volume needs to be turned up, this is not balanced when sub bass is loud and will hurt your ears, the headphones are breaking in so not sure what to expect, neodymium are rarely perfect except with my previous cheap headphones I lost.
Some distortion on the driver with synthesised Recorder tones (music instrument), this must be the frequencies reverberating at high volume on the driver, none at lower volumes.
Some Midbass frequencies distortion at high volumes, this is a hard one to master so I was happy with the volume achieved. I modify headphones if I know they can be improved, I will let you know if the cover or frame modifications work.
The subs and high frequencies can be pushed to extremes before distortion.
HANDS FREE PHONE CALLS
The sound is flat and needs to be turned up, not much high frequencies coming through. I asked my friend if there was any echo, he said 'not much', he was not complaining and could hear me. The ear cup stops noise coming through though some traffic is audible. The sound dampening is good compared to on ear headphones.
THE HEADBAND and EAR CUPS
The Headband looks quality and has soft sponge with material underside.
There is no clamping and no repetitive strain so they do not hurt after being on all day, they clamp on loose and the ear cups go around the ear not on the ear. The sponge and cover are soft and fit with comfort. There is no rubbing on the ear from the central area in the cup, not on my ears. Not all ears are shaped the same so take that in to account.
BATTERY
There is a post in a search that this headphone has a 350mAh battery, not sure if that is true because that would have 3.5Hours music playtime and I played them for more than 5 hours, the comment states that V MODA put different sized batteries in this headphone unit so it could be greater, the comment states that the inside has enough room to fit a larger battery. I modify all my headphones and put in at least 600mAh batteries because I have a soldering iron, batteries are cheap and the voltage regulator attached to the battery does not limit Ah size. The largest I squeezed into a pair of headphones was 1050mAh in my previous headphones. I will let you know how it works out.
PAIRING
No problems pairing though can be slow, I think this is the audio player. There are some interruptions when turning the head to the right and pairing is intermittent till turning to center or left. Can be solved with a 2cm wire soldered to the aerial circuit and is a problem with most btooth headphones. I will modify and tell you if the problem stops. The range is acceptable.
They pair to my Windows 10 laptop, make sure your sound output is switched to bluetooth headphones in soundcard options.
ACCESSORIES
The headphones come with a molded case that has a water resistant zip and inside the case are elastic bands attached to the case to strap, jack plug & flatwire USB to mini USB.
V Moda are incredible headphones
V Moda are incredible headphones and the only ones I will buy now. The only headphones out there made of metal and leather and they are the most enjoyable to listen to. A fun, warm bass driven sound with good clarity. Not neutral, but incredibly good to listen to.
I have four pairs now; two LP2s (black and grey), and Crossfade wireless 1 and 2 (Phantom Chrome and Rose Gold). The rose gold are the prettiest, the CFW1 are the best to listen to.
The value for money is incredible with these headphones.
Fantastic service!
I received a pair of headphones last summer. It appeared that they had a manufacturing error, because the headphones stopped working. I contacted them on their support e-mail and notified them of the problem. Because I am an international customer, they shipped a new pair with no extra charges. I can definetly recommed this company!
Excellent
Excellent - I own a pair of headphones and a pair of earphones from V Moda and both are absolutely outstanding. Top class.
Simply excellent!
Bought a product from their site (located in the US, i'm from the Netherlands) and unfortunately it broke after about 10 months. I filled out a warranty form, and they requested me to send the product back by UPS or another postal service. This would have cost me a lot of money, so I sent an email if we could sort something out.
They asked me to cut the cord of my product and sent me a new one! Really happy with the service they provided!
