If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I received a digital gift card as a gift from a company I was doing business with. I tried to place an order with the card then, and it was automatically blocked and put on hold. I’ve tried contacting Vanilla for well over a year with no luck.
I was able to speak with a rep today who made me know I need to get a purchase receipt from the sender to get a refund. Ridiculous since I no longer work with the company and have no communication with this business who had sent it to me. I have all the details on the card that I provided to them.
So to basically tell me nothing can me done and this is gone down the drain, screams SCAM to me. I don’t recommend.

It would be so helpful -- if the emailed receipt that I receive, for a giftcard purchase, would stipulate WHO it went to -- instead of just the amount of the card!
I send giftcards periodically to my family -- & when I go back & check the receipt -- I have to GUESS who it went to, esp. if they cant find it in their email! PLEASE, PLEASE start including the recipient's name on the sender's receipt! This would be so helpful!

I actually rate my experience with Vanillagift.com at a zero. Apparently, their site doesn’t recognize Hawai’i as a state. Last I knew, Hawai’i was the 50th state of the United States. Not true with Vanillagift.com because Hawai’i is not even on their list of states when going through the checkout process. You get 2 thumbs down Vanillagift.com! 👎🏼👎🏼

Haven't received the cards I ordered over two weeks ago so I called customer service and after an ordeal to get a person on the line Iwas told I can't cancel the order because it has been completed and I need to wait another 7-10 days before they will put a hold on the cards and and consider them"lost. " The was for gift cards that I could have walked into CVS and get in 5 minutes. Should have done that in the first place, but when I do it will not be a Vanilla Gift Card. Horrible customer service

Easy to purchase. Unfortunately, delivery for an e-card was not immediate as expected. I have no idea when I will receive my e-card. I would have been better off going to CVS or Walgreen.

Vanilla Gift customer service confirmed to me through Facebook that my card has a $250 balance and that the card/funds are currently on hold. However, after confirming this information, they stopped responding to me
I have been following up repeatedly for several days through Facebook and Instagram, but I still have no explanation for why my card is on hold or what I need to do to have the hold removed. I have tried every available support option I can access, but I still cannot use the $250 that Vanilla has already confirmed is on the card.
Vanilla, I am asking you to please review this case and contact me with a clear explanation and a resolution. I have screenshots of the previous conversation where your support team confirmed the balance and the hold. I simply want access to the funds that are already on my card

Card purchase for medical needs no working
Augusto 20 I had a friend put $500 dollars on this card for me. The money was to be for medical expenses. The card does not work. I tried to use it over the phone, I tried to have the card swiped. Its always denied. I contacte the company and they said that if the card was not used they would refund the money. I still have recieved nothing. This money can be the diffrence in me ever walking again or not. It took me time to save the money for this and I can not afford to loose it.
I am a ending this review, I would like to give you more detailed information.
I am currently in Nicaragua and the money from this card was to pay for a plane ticket back to the US so I can get surgery. The card was bought in the US and I attempted to use it at American Airlines in the US. I recognize the card May not work in Nicaragua but all attempted interaction took place in the US.
The card was purchase at a Walmart in Miami Florida on August 20.
After email exchanges with this company, i am done doing things their way. Instead I will post my experience on social media sites. I will ask my friends and followers to do the same that others dont fall into this trap. I encourage others to do the same. There are also 2 fb pages where people complain about vanilla gift cards and share their nightmares.
If you are intrested in joining a class action lawsuit against Vanilla Gift Cards contact me. I cant post my email here but you can find me on the fb pages mentioned above.
