DO NOT BUY A VANILLA GIFT CARD
I purchased a $100 Vanilla Gift Visa card so I would not have to use my debit card for online purchases. I have NOT been able to use this card because all purchases have required that I enter a ZIP CODE. These gift cards are anonymous and are not linked to your home address; therefore, you cannot enter a ZIP code. I called the customer service number on the card twice about this issue, and they kept repeatedly asking if I gave the merchant my home address. You are unable to give your home address to an online merchant, gas station, or at the grocery store. I asked nicely for Vanilla Card to inactivate the card and send me a check. Instead, this inept person repeated over and over whether I gave the merchant my home address. VANILLA GIFT CARD IS STEALING CONSUMER'S MONEY BECAUSE I HAVEN'T FOUND A MERCHANT WHERE I CAN MAKE A PURCHASE WITH THIS VISA CARD. DO NOT BUY VANILLA GIFT CARDS!!!

Can't check balance so can't use full value
You can't actually check the balance on the card, so you can't use it. whenever I try to check the balance I go through the steps and then get a message that there is an issue with the site at this time. I also get notifications from Norton stating that they blocked a malicious site when I click on the link to check my balance. So either VanillaGift is collecting data they shouldn't be or they have ads on their site that do.
Unable to locate the followup email. I can't possibly be the only one whose had this issue.

My gift card got flagged for fraudulent charges, and I called customer service, it's almost been seven buisness days, and still no replacement card as they said there would be :(
edit as of three days later, I have had no following communication despite having filled out the survey, and given out my details.

Poor service across the board
They offer Add to Apple wallet, which does not work for "Security purposes" which they refuse to define. The online "Help" offers limited options. I was sent A$75 as payment for my time, and this company diluted that. Took me 45 min of trying, retrying, trouble shooting, then calling to get a GIFT CARD to work.

Negative star, I had 2 gift cards that expired last month. I forgot I had them, and I called them to be reissued due to them still having money on them. Spoke to customer service and they said the money has been forfeited. I said that’s my money and now I can’t use it. Surely there is a way to reissue. Got told there wasn’t. I will never buy these again unless I have been contacted and resissued.
