Excellent customer service!
I had a huge issue at the start of the year with ordering a new car. I went into Toyota on the Sunday and spoke with James. He was very helpful and explained what went wrong! We then came back on the Monday, met with James and Adam and both were amazing. They both helped get the issue sorted and placed an order for a new car that day for me! Both Adam and James were friendly, reassuring and looking for anyway they can help the situation and make me feel happy with the experience and the car!

Knowledgeable, helpful, and put things right when needed
Adam was a fantastic salesperson from start to finish (Toyota York). When I enquired about viewing the car, he offered us a test drive either with him or on our own, and we chose to go it alone, which gave us the freedom to really get a feel for the car.
We decided to go ahead with the purchase, and Adam talked us through the optional extras available. He wasn't pushy in the slightest and was genuinely knowledgeable, answering all my questions so I could decide exactly which extras were right for me.
I'd originally planned to take out a loan, as I wasn't aware that I could finance the car in my name on behalf of someone else. Adam made me aware this was an option, and as a result we secured a much better interest rate than I would have got with the loan, which saved me a good amount of money.
When we collected the car, it had a full tank of fuel, though we noticed the dash cam we'd ordered hadn't been fitted due to a mistake on their end. As soon as Adam heard about this, he arranged for the car to be collected from our house in Doncaster on a day that suited us (as we needed the car the day we collected to get home). The dash cam was then installed (with the wires neatly hidden under the roof lining), and the car was returned promptly, again with a full tank of fuel.
It's really reassuring to know they'll go out of their way to put things right in the rare event something does go wrong. The whole process was made completely convenient for me — I didn't have to lift a finger.

Why are car parts through a franchised dealer so expensive?
We love our Toyota IQ although the air-con had stopped working, I took it to Vantage Toyota in Knaresborough. We've used them for more than fifteen years and I can honestly say that they are excellent and perhaps the only franchised dealer about that I have been able to say this.
Unfortunately, when I got the air-con estimate for repairs, it came to over £1,900. To spend this on a fifteen year old car would be foolish. The parts alone came to £1,400. I spoke to Mark and we decided that the best course of action would be to check eBay for the parts. I found them, new for £363. So with Vantage fitting them for me, the total bill I ended up paying was £750.
So, we're happy. I'll continue to have the IQ serviced there and no doubt go to them when we decide to replace our car.
