I'd like to recognize Katja for the outstanding help she gave me with updating my passport number. She went well beyond what I expected — she assisted me even outside of normal working hours to make sure the change was processed quickly and correctly. Her responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help turned a stressful situation into a smooth one.

I couldn't fix the issue myself because the passport number image was loaded incorrectly, but when I contacted customer service, they fixed it the next day. Also, I accidentally pressed Enter after partially entering the refund account number, which needed correction, but customer service reset the system the next day. Their quick response made them trustworthy. The only drawback is that the app is still immature. It's unacceptable that you can press Enter when you haven't entered the correct number of digits for credit card or account numbers. Alternatively, there should be a confirmation screen after input before you can press Enter, otherwise many people will make the same mistake and customer service will become overwhelmed.

Ik was eerst niet zo enthousiast over de app. Ik had namelijk nog een oud, verlopen paspoort in de app staan en kreeg foutmeldingen. Dit ontdekte ik pas een dag voor vertrek uit Nederland. De support van Vatfree.com heeft me enorm goed en vriendelijk geholpen. Echt super!

It is really hard to get assistance in any time

I had an issue with my tax refund after returning from the Netherlands and reached out via WhatsApp with low expectations, but the customer representative exceeded them completely. They took full ownership, carefully reviewed my case, and managed to process my refund using my flight details—something I didn’t think would be possible. I don’t know their name, but this level of effort and problem-solving is rare and truly outstanding.Thank you!

Great values, fast and easy action steps

My passport was expired and could not update it via either website or app. After calling Vatfree, this issue was quickly fixed by customer support, Katja. She is friendly, professional and paitent. With her help, we get to know how the newly launched, NL Customs Vax, works and successfully got digital stamps for all our purchases in Netherland right at the airport. Very grateful for her help!
Vatfree的網頁跟app在我們旅遊期間都無法正常使用，幾年前辦的帳號因為護照過期也因此無法自行更新，最後是透過客服後台處理，並且耐心解釋2026年新上線的NL Custom Vax操作方式，讓我們所有在荷蘭能夠退稅的消費都順利在海關拿到數位簽章且收到payout確認信，不過因為網頁(app持續閃退）無法更新信用卡卡號，還需要另外IT support解決。
如果是跨歐洲的消費，NL Custom Vax不會出現紀錄，輸入護照號碼只會出現在荷蘭的消費，因此歐洲外的消費還是得拿到實體退稅單及海關實體章，最後投入退稅公司各自的信箱。
