Absolutely pathetic customer service. I bought a Westinghouse sandwich maker 4 slice see picture below. It started sticking like crazy even buttering the bread both sides. Used it about 6-7 times in space of 3-4 months and they refused the warranty claim I made. Do not buy from appliance giants there one big scam. Also Linda from Westinghouse customer support was hopeless and now I had to throw it in the bin and buy a different brand. So far so good. Westinghouse should be ashamed of producing such cheap nasty products and your 12 month warranty is just one big farce. Do not buy this model

I have a Westinghouse cook top oven. Was just outside warranty and one burner stopped working. Spoke to Westinghouse, who did not provide any over the phone support, simply just referred us to get it repaired. On turning up the repair guy knew what was wrong before even looking at it, and the fix took him 5 seconds. The fix was something that any person could do. Call out was $220 for a 5 second fix that they could have had us try over phone support. Thanks for nothing. Don’t expect much in terms of support from them!

What started out as an extremely frustrating customer experience dealing with overseas call centres and empty promises of fixing along with a plain lack of listenening capability I was eventually allocated to someone in Australia, let’s call her JP. My case was resolved promptly after that and with a great deal of consideration shown, plus plenty of follow up to ensure the process of swapping out a faulty fridge went smoothly. From Westinghouse’s perspective I can honestly say yes, and I would buy the brand again based on my experience once you get through the outsourced stonewalling. If it weren’t for that embarrassment of a call centre, I’d be giving an extra star. The Australian contingent get it done. Their problem in SE Qld at least is a lack of authorised repairers. JO found one for me who’s not on the list the overseas guys have. Turns out the fridge was still playing up after the repair job so replacement was authorised (outside of fridge warranty, but inside the expected life period of one of the motors so if this happens folks, read the user manual!! Plenty of good info in there).

Absolutely terrible after-sales service.

The call centre made promises they had no intention of honouring. I was told to purchase a spare part that I believe should have been covered under warranty. I was assured that if I sent them the invoice, I would be reimbursed.

Instead, after following their instructions, I was told they would send me another spare part as compensation. This makes no sense. If they were prepared to provide the part, why wasn't it supplied under warranty in the first place? And what am I supposed to do with a second spare part when I only needed one?

The entire experience was frustrating, misleading, and a complete waste of my time and money. The after-sales support was disappointing from start to finish. I expected much better from a company like Westinghouse.

The fridge came with dent in the door. Replaced 3 times. Ever time the new door came with a dent. Waste of time trying to get it fixed.
The drawers in the freezer are so frustrating as they do not slide well. They don't stay on the track. Everytime pull out have to readjust. So irritating.

Worst fridge we've ever purchased. Three months in, it just randomly stops working. We had to throw away around $150 worth of food and then had to buy a second-hand fridge. First of all, the company refuses to provide warranty service if you are not in their "zone". This is 100% illegal under consumer law. Instead, they send out some kind of contractor. The guy came out, looked at the fridge for about 5 minutes and told me it was going to be a minimum of another week before he can get the parts. I range Westinghouse and told them that this is a fridge, not a TV, and we need a fridge because we need to keep food. I asked for a refund and was told the matter would be "escalated" and someone would call me within 48 hours. No one called, so I called. I was told it would be "escalated" and someone would call me in 48 hours. I told them that I wanted the details of the legal department so that I can lodge a claim with the department of fair trading and they *refused* to provide this information and told me that "they are only an outsourced call center" and its not their problem. This is absolutely the worst appliance provider. Ever. Do not buy any of their products as they refuse to abide by their obligations.

Great dishwasher, really quiet and provides a thorough wash. Shame they make you jump through hoops to get the cutlery caddy though (bought through Harvey Norman)

Bought a basic 240 litre fridge and within a couple of weeks the fan in the freezer was defective and luckily replaced under warranty. Then 4 years later the compressor packed it in.
Useless junk and good for nothing.

Bought a pigeon pair fridge freezer which online looked perfect. The legs are flimsy and fail to hold appliances still. Both fridge and freezer wheel forward and backward with each door opening. My usual fridge freezer stood still and did not move a jot. These two are free rolling. Twice, Appliances Online sent people out to steady both but it was impossible. I am being charged $800 to return both. Glad to see them back of them and regret buying. How Westinghouse get away with such poor quality I don't know. How hard should it be to keep a fridge or freezer still?

Just be careful purchasing Westinghouse products guys! I purchased a Westinghouse washing machine. I specifically waited for this product as I had previously had a Westinghouse washing machine that was great! Not so with this new machine unfortunately. I had numerous error messages happening in the first year with the machine just stopping mid wash and showing an error, with the technician coming on no less than 4 occasions. The error wasn’t remedied. They wouldn’t replace it and the problem kept occurring. Now it is out of the warranty period and they won’t honour the warranty, despite having g the same issue since purchase.

These machines aren’t cheap, and when purchasing a product such as Westinghouse I anticipate quality or at least to be given a replacement if the machine is obviously faulty. I am really unhappy with the quality and the service of the newer Westinghouse product 😔
