I'm still waiting for my phone service…
I'm still waiting for my phone service to be connected. I was told that I would receive a call and be given a number. I finally went in to check on this and then they needed a copy of a previous phone bill. I have given them a copy of my spectrum which has my phone along with my internet, and cable bill. The people I have talked to have been polite and professional but I still do not have any phone service.

When you came out to install our…
When you came out to install our service you had to dig a trench across our yard and drive then told us that we couldn’t drive over it and our motor home was parked on the other side of it. That was 3 months ago and we finally had to semi bury the line ourselves either that or not move our motor home. It really needs to be fixed and you made an appointment one time but never came. How would you feel ?

Yeah. Every time it rains or snows here in Alexander County you can guarantee Wisper will go down like the Titanic, be down for the day and when service does return, it will be sporadic for a day or two afterwards.
Do you, like a large share of the router market, use Netgear? Too bad, unsupported. A company that has a 14 billion dollar share of home internet routers (as common as cracks in Cairo sidewalks) and they are unsupported.for as large as whisper claims to be, that's one **** of an oversight.
Think your internet is experiencing an outage ? I have good news and bad news. Good news, they have an outage page. Bad news, it may not be up to date until after the complaints reach a certain level. C'est la vie. You will just have to guess, or hold during an 8 note snippet that repeats eternally. Psych warfare 101, play annoying music repeatedly until you drive your enemy bat****. Works on most people. Veterans ? Ha ! We are used to this.
What I'm saying is not since dialup days have I seen such slipshod communications. If you have a choice, use it.
But we know what happens when a giant ISP takes over in a small town. Competition is crushed.

WE have had Wisper since they bought…
WE have had Wisper since they bought out our previous isp. In Jan of 2019 we signed a contract for more speed. It cost $125. On Feb 20 2022 I discovered they were offering the same speed for $65. I contacted them the next day and was told by two agents that price has been going on for over 7 years. They transferred me to the manager Mr Micheal who was rude and clearly wasn't interested in my complaint. He wanted to continue the over payment until NEXT billing cycle to change the price to normal. Not offering any credits at all while I'VE over payed $2160. He always spoke in a very condescending manner. His reasoning was that price is for new customers only we FORGOT TO PUT THAT IN! Yet he agrees to change the price in the future?! It doesn't say that NOWHERE in the plans! Also if there's an outage (almost everyday) we would be FIRST to get service! Not good enough for an EXTRA $60 per month. Plus we are all working off the SAME tower! Then he stated that price has only been going on for two weeks (not according to the first two agents)! Total humiliation for a person in management. This gentleman nearly had me in tears!

Is my wi fi password changed when previous owner merged with wisper ? I can't get my password to work. And speeds do seem slower since I raised my speed when Wisper took it over.

Fast reliable internet
Fast reliable internet, super afforable even at their "most expensive" package. The customer service is honestly the best ive ever had! 12/10 recommend wisper!

I've had your internet service since it came to Pittsburg Illinois,6 or 7 years ago. But i've about reach my limit,with you. We had pretty fair service the first part of Nov.2021,then something changed,it got down to download speeds of 2meg and upload speeds of less then 1meg. Now the tech that came out to check it out,with a bucket truck. Says there's nothing they can do for it because of the trees and line of sight, i could live with that,but explain to me it work good all summer and fall, with the leaves on the trees and now a 2 or less download speed on a 10meg package. As far as i know they haven't checked the line of site,off the top of the water tower. Not to many options from where were at for services,but if it like this by the time the payment due were done.( Still puzzled with what could have happen) Terry

I will change my rating when and if they can prove that they can provide reliable service. We experienced 94 service interuptions in 2021.

Just had it hooked up in the last month and we are extremely happy with the service. The installation was quick and installer very friendly and helpful. We have had no issues with the service, hopefully won't. So much better than DSL....

We have had Hughesnet for the past two…
We have had Hughesnet for the past two years. I have been very disappointed in there service. Always finding something to charge us for as well as constantly running out of data. We have had Wisper for less than a month now and I have been more than pleased with the service. Ever running out of internet and every time I’ve talked with someone they have been so nice and helpful. Would recommend Wisper to anyone!

A Whisper of connectivity
First off, the price is outrageous! That's because they have a monopoly in our area. If you want internet, you have to use Whisper. And by the way, Whisper is a rather ironic name considering, that's exactly what you get for your money,, a whisper of internet service. Duke.

With our other service, we would lose access with the least amount of rain or winds.
We have had ours since September 2021, and zero issues!

It's OK for streaming but when playing…
It's OK for streaming but when playing video games online it's not great all ways high latencies and package loss with lag can't play call of duty very well with that and to download updates for games take up 10hr or the hole day in Bluford, Illinois
