I’ve recently had one of these showers installed by the council as part of a wet room because I have long term chronic illnesses. The pressure is rubbish and I have complained a few times already. My OT agrees that the pressure is not good also. The water bends as it comes out and when I am seated, the water is not strong enough to reach me properly! I’ve been told this is standard and nothing they can do. It completely defeats the object of having the wet room as the pressure of the water does not allow me to shower when sitting, without leaning (which is very painful and not acceptable). Even when standing, I’m almost hugging the railings to make sure I’m under the water! I have to have the shower on the maximum heat because otherwise it is not hot enough and even then it goes a bit cold before going really hot which only fluctuates momentarily (several times during showering) but I’m not sure this should happen? My shower I had over my bath, which ran for just the tap pressure (no pump or anything) was far better than this shower and for this reason, I could not recommend this shower to anyone! In fact the showers at the local leisure centre have more pressure than this shower.
In addition, I’ve not been given any paperwork for this shower so I have no idea what kWh it is or the actual model just that it’s the lever one with the light up button in the middle and light up temperature gauge (not the manufacturer fault and I will be taking this up with the council) because this also means I don’t know if it has been registered for the 5yr warranty!

I would like to commend the AKW kitchen department for the outstanding service they gave and product. I reached out to them with a rough plan of the kitchen I was looking for. They were able to produce not only a detailed plan with all the cabinet sizes, but full 3D images which greatly helped to envisage how my kitchen would look when fitted. The build quality of the cabinets is excellent, delivered as complete cabinets with doors fitted. I’ve the confidence to recommend AKW to friends and family. Thank you again.

He turned up and managed to change a part and sort this immediately .
Very few these days deliver a prompt efficient and quality service with a smile but have to say thanks for sorting out our shower. Top company to deal with and service to back up their products I would recommend . Paul and Laura S .

So, for all those companies who profess they are exceptional only for thier customers to find that the customer care is off shore or non existant, then id suggest you take a look at this companies ethos. I had an issue with an M17 shower waste pump we installed for a customer over a year ago. After ordering a service kit for it due to an issue he had reported, the programming of the pcb to increase the flow rate went a little bonkers and locked out. Worried I had done something stupid I called the technical support line and spoke to a guy called Ed. He was exceptional. Not only didnt he speak to me like I was an idiot, he talked me through the entire reset procedure, even waiting on the line as I went into the loft to carry out his instruction, then operate the shower which was in an adjacent room, along with helping me reset the timer to his own preferance and then adjust the delay. Without his help we would have been scuppered and had a very upset client. Well done AKW and thanks to Ed who is a credit to yourselves and represents everything that technical support should be in the UK. We fit a lot of AKW product and it always exceeds our clients expectations. So if your considering purchasing a budget alternative, then think again. Exceptional customer support, readily available quality spare parts backed up with vast knowledge of the product. Once again, Thankyou

I bought a AKW Bidet, it now leaks, because the warranty has expired 3 months ago, the technical support refused to help in any way. I was prepared to pay for a repair but was told because it was out of warranty that couldn’t happen, his solution was for me to buy a new unit. He appeared very helpful until we established the warranty had expired. I wish I never dealt with this company. Who buys a new product every time the warranty expires.
Well, AKW contacted me and we dug deeper into the bidet issue. The manager came to my home to investigate the problem, and although it was past the warranty date he replaced and tested the unit. I wasn’t expecting that. So with good communication AKW turned a bad experience around. Much appreciated, thank you.

I don`t normally write reviews - we posted your parcel how did we do...brilliant thanks but isn't that your job !! However, we have started using AKW products on a new bathroom contract and I feel compelled to write about my experience. Every time I contact technical support I get a swift clear and easily understandable response. I emailed today asking more than I felt comfortable doing and 20 minutes later I got product details and instillation guides for the full shower tray set up with waste pump. I can`t recommend AKW highly enough, if you are looking for a company that offers first class technical support, these are the best I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.

Having installed and integrating the akw range of wetroom /bathroom solutions. The technical assistance is absolutly 1 class. Nicest little touch? The shower riser rail is tested to over 90kg. If you fall in a shower or slip you will grab this…thats clever

I purchased an AKW wall mount shower chair from a seller in the United States roughly 4 years ago. The chair gets daily use so the seat pad had started to show some wear and tear. To my surprise, when I went searching online to replace the pads, I came up empty handed! And was informed that AKW no longer sells their line in the United States! Whatttt?? I was SO upset! Especially because you can still purchase the entire chair with the pads included from many sellers. My original cost was close to $800.. I took it upon myself to reach out directly to AKW customer service in the UK via email. They responded quickly and asked me to send some pictures of my chair to confirm the model and size for the replacement pads. I did as instructed and a very short time later I received an email back stating that they have the pads and would ship them to me ABSOLUTELY FREE as a warranty even though it is considered normal wear and tear! I was certainly not expecting them for free and was absolutely willing to pay for them! I could not be any happier with the fast response and EXCELLENT customer service!

I recently had a bathroom fitted with a selection of AKW products.
The customer service team at AKW was helpful, guiding me through the options and ensuring I chose the right items for my needs. The slim Onyx shower tray is particularly nice. Delivery was next working day and as expected.

Had an extra unit delivered to add on to my existing kitchen, seamless order and delivery.
Also 2 new Smartcare showers, 1x 9.5kw and 1x 10.5kw both now fitted and are really good, also covered the plate/space of the existing shower which is a bonus.
