(Market Harborough branch). I’ve genuinely had more humanity - and more competence - from a chatbot than this company. But landlords should also be wary - good tenants leave when gaslit and made to feel like a squatter. Bad business for the company too. Renters are also customers - you have no lettings business without them, but they often become buyers, or even landlords, themselves. I wouldn’t do any of it with this firm after my experience with them - the worst by far in over 20 years of renting (including student houses). Renters are human and rent for a variety of reasons. We don’t own the property but we pay - a lot - to make it our home and care for it. If you can’t muster any respect, please find a profession that isn’t so important as helping people find a home and feel safe. Told by staff member that the obvious damp patches were paint marks (they weren’t, the damp got worse (despite every effort on my part - it’s a very old cottage), ruined several items of my property and was coming through plug sockets). The woman who showed me around couldn’t answer any questions about the property because, she said, they had a portfolio of several hundred houses. Which at least was honest - they prize profit over competence and it’s been obvious they either can’t cope or don’t care. Move in day, I came to find an active wasp nest (wasps flying at me for weeks in the shower, on stairs…), dead bird in wood burner, a broken washing machine filled with grit, old rubbish and thick dust left in bathroom cupboard, old dirty sheet covering a dirty closet floor with gaping holes in, a closet full of the previous tenant’s belongings, and that the inspection had missed a hole in the wall - among other things. I was treated like a nuisance for just pointing this out and told it could be three weeks until someone even came to look at the washing machine let alone order one. Asking if that was normal the curt reply was ‘yes’. I was actually told by this staff member that if I didn’t like it, they could void my contract - a horrible threat that made me feel I could not voice issues. The experience of moving into a new home should be joyful and dignified - this company made it anything but, so this house was never a home. Report of leak was never even replied to. The landlord showed up one day with no notice - didn’t even tell me he was the landlord until I asked, had no idea who he was. No apology from the company obviously. I spent several £100s of my own money trying to make this place safer (wasps) and nicer - with permission, because no one else was going to do it - from having a professional deep clean at the start to getting chimney cap fitted (no more dead birds) to repainting, sorting downstairs bathroom floor (Fungus growing where there was no flooring, just concrete) sorting the closet floor, lighting and much more. I had to pay for external guttering myself. I had to sign a clause that said I was responsible for pest outbreaks, even if out of my control (like the wasps). That isn’t normal. Young staffer came to inspect - was a humiliating and unprofessional experience. I’m so out of pocket but good riddance, mental health matters more. My new landladies met me in person. What did they say when I asked if I could hang some pictures? ‘Of course, it’s your home.’ And even though I’m not renting through them (they just got me into the property), Adam’s and Jones told me I could pop by for advice if I ever needed to. At Henderson Connellon, I had one point of contact for several years (as opposed to the revolving door at AG) - and great service, negotiating for the mutual benefit of both landlord and renter. Basic humanity 101 and good business. Andrew Granger/Sheldon Bosely Knight - do better.
Completely unresponsive. Asked for comprehensive information to provide a quotation for a rent review and then didn't reply despite numerous written reminders. I certainly wouldn't trust them for anything even mildly important.
Dealt with Andrew Granger over several months, and they were consistently communicative, professional, and warm (particularly Natalie Hart from the Loughborough branch). Would recommend.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling level of service I received from your agency during a recent inquiry about the land for sale at The Heights in Market Harborough. The experience was, quite frankly, unacceptable and warrants immediate attention.
Upon my initial call, I spoke with a woman who clearly had no knowledge of the property in question. While I understand that not everyone is fully informed on every listing, rather than transferring me to someone with the necessary information, she chose to hang up on me mid-conversation. This is not only unprofessional but incredibly frustrating for a potential buyer.
Following this, I called again and requested to speak with a manager. I was connected to a man named James, who, instead of offering an apology or any form of customer service, dismissed my complaint by claiming the phone lines were faulty – an obvious and blatant lie, as I could hear both him and the woman on my previous call perfectly. When I expressed my frustration and mentioned that I would no longer be pursuing the sale due to the poor communication and lack of basic manners from your staff, his response was a simple “OK” before abruptly hanging up.
This level of indifference and discourtesy is beyond unprofessional, especially from a company tasked with handling high-value transactions such as land sales. It reflects extremely poorly not only on your agency but also on the seller you represent. I would strongly advise you to reconsider how your team engages with potential buyers, as this type of behavior is likely to drive away more prospects and tarnish your reputation further.
If the owner of The Heights in Market Harborough is reading this, I would urge them to consider using a more competent estate agency, as this experience has certainly deterred me from moving forward with the purchase, and I suspect others will feel the same.
Went out of their way to keep us updated throughout the process of marketing our house, always friendly and helpful to deal with and took the time to answer my (many!) questions. Would definitely recommend.

Andrew Granger (Loughborough) was the estate agent I used to purchase my property back in 2007. Unfortunately, I have had jobs that require me to relocate to different places. For this reason, I have let out the property using Andrew Granger. Recently, I sold - again using Andrew Granger.
I cannot recommend Andrew Granger enough. Whether buying, lettings management or selling, they are thoroughly professional. I am so glad to have used their services for the last 17 years. The people there have changed, but the service has stayed the same. I should thank Natalie handled the sale ever so well, and the now-retired David Woodfield and the lettings team for managing the property for so long.
My experience with Andrew Granger has been fantastic.

That clearly don’t need homes to sell because they came round to value my mums 4 weeks ago and nothing. I am sure this is reflective of how little care they would give trying to sell the property. Would not recommend and will not ever be using them.

Would give 0 stars if I could. In a nutshell, I rented a house which when I moved in was dirty, smelt seagull and the bathroom contained mould. At my own expense, I bought extensive cleaning products, bathroom silicone etc and brought the property up to a standard I was happy to move into with my two children. I lived there just over 2 years. During that time, I repainted the kitchen to remodernise use it again at my own expense, and was often complemented during routine inspections on how nice I had made the property. When I left, Andrew Granger tried to retain almost £1000 of my deposit! Having rented in London for around 10 years and with a property of my own in Surrey I knew this was not right! Especially given the state of the property when I originally moved in. Long story short I had to take them to a tribunal where thankfully I received around half of my deposit back. My only regret was not taking enough photographic evidence of the property when I moved in (e.g. garden waste bins were full and I was left to foot the bill!) Sadly, they also never responded to a request I’ve made to remove my custom wooden blinds which at the time I couldn’t arrange due to work/ childcare: moving into a new property on my own. Just take plenty of photos if you use them.
