I’m not reviewing the product (I assume it is good based on the # of positive reviews)
The reason for my review is the pre-purchase experience. I saw a Facebook advert that got my attention. Having requested a brochure I had a call immediately after the postman delivered it - I had the envelope in hand when I was called. Having reviewed the brochure I decided that I’d request a visit as whilst the brochure was glossy and impressive, it didn’t answer the queries I had and offered no concept of cost etc.
Arranging a visit was entertaining- - - answering seemingly irrelevant questions like ‘will I have a friend with me during the visit?’ Finally having been told how incredibly busy they were a visit was organised.
Prior to the arranged visit I received a call to ask if an earlier appointment would be possible. I agreed as I had no other arrangements. The day before I got a courtesy text message to advise my 13:00 appointment may be between 13:00 & 13:30. Fair enough I thought .
On the day I received a call at 13:45 to advise that arrival would be slightly delayed. Asking ‘how slightly?’ I was told another 45 minutes.
Having declined a family event so I could be home at 13:00 I was not impressed and frankly annoyed at myself for the courtesy I showed in being available for something I had after all initiated.
So the upshot being, if the company can’t get the 1st stage of a purchase right and are so inconsiderate as to only advise a 45 minute arrival delay 45 minutes after the original meeting time, what must the next stages of the process be like? If at 13:00 (the appointment time) you realise that you will be unable to arrive before 14:30 then why wait 45 minutes to advise?
I’ll spend my money with another supplier. Most likely one that a friend or colleague has recommended as opposed to the glossy Facebook and brochure brigade.

Such a simple process from start to finish. Employees were polite and professional and Vince who carried out the assessment and the fitting of fly screen door to my French doors was extremely professional and carried out the fitting efficiently producing a terrific finish.

Efficient admin, a very ‘soft sell’ initial visit with good advice provided; and a friendly, high quality installation (by Paul Coomber). Only not five stars because the company is very aggressive about early payment.

I requested a brochure which didn’t give you any meaningful information on costs and since then I have been bombarded every day - sometimes twice a day with calls - nearly 3 weeks now. I blocked the number and am still getting daily calls titled ‘Network Provider’ that I can’t seem to block. They are a pest of a company.

Thank you for your response I have e mailed in but I don’t think 30 plus calls count as ‘a courtesy call’

A word of caution - Appeal take your money up front and then, in our case, delayed the inspection and "forgot" to place the order with production resulting in another 4 week delay which they admitted was entirely their fault - however they already had two-thirds of our money and refused to even offer token compensation blaming "company policy". It is also "company policy" that although charging premium prices you have to dispose of all packaging. Their staff are clearly not happy with some of these "company policies"!
Product so far is certainly fit for purpose (conservatory blinds and fly screen) but let down by poor customer service attitude.
We can't praise our fitter more highly - very professional and courteous. Thank you Ryan.

Leon and Glenn were quick completing the installation of the awning in about 3½ hours. They were very tidy leaving things as to how I would want. The awning itself from Appeal is very nice and keeps the kitchen cooler during this hot spell that we're experiencing.

Vince our installer arrived ahead of time, introduced himself and unloaded his equipment. He prepared the area below the lantern and started working straight away. He seemed very proficient and worked quickly to install our lantern shade. When he finished he cleaned area and helped me put back the furniture. All in all an excellent service.

We had a number of pleated blinds installed for sliding doors and bifold doors a few years back.

He has just been back to install a lantern blind for a large kitchen skylight.

The service and the banter was just as good as last time. The installation was very quick and he tidied everything up afterwards.

Before leaving Alan checked the existing and new remotes worked and that all phone connections to the hub worked too.

Charles and his colleague were friendly and efficient .
He took time to explain how to use it , change batteries etc and answer any questions .
Everything was left so neat and tidy .. very impressive.

Just had our amazing pleated door screen fitted by Steve.
Setting up a consultation was very easy and Jake was very helpful when he came to show us different options.
Steve then came to do a survey, he arrived promptly and was exceedingly knowledgeable about the whole process.
He returned today to fit the door screen, again he was prompt, friendly and totally professional. The screen itself is beautifully made, fits perfectly and glides easily back and forth. It is so nice to have air flow without the insects moving in!

Alan Robinson from Appeal Blinds came to fit my lantern blinds today and did a fantastic job. He was professional, punctual, tidy, and friendly. The work was completed promptly and to a very high standard. I am very pleased with the shades.

Very professional and knowledgeable sales person , Alan Robinson the surveyor and fitter of our front door blinds was so helpful and did a fantastic job of fitting them. Alan R is friendly and he tied up perfectly .
The blinds look beautiful and are and enhance the front hall.
