Terrible to get hold off
I purchased the policy easily enough but then when I finished I tried to set up an online account and the page timed out within seconds, losing my policy number in my confirmation. I then tried to set up an online account and was told that I needed the policy number which had been emailed to me, however, they never emailed me the policy number - just confirmation that I had bought insurance. Without a number I couldn’t do anything. I then tried to contact them and am utterly shocked at how hard it is. No email address, no live chat - I searched for a number then that automated system told me I needed to call a new number and ended the call before I could note what the number was. I finally got through to someone after going through a stupid amount of automated menus and they said that I should have been sent the policy details, then resent them - only then did I finally get them. It is appalling that it was that hard to get hold of someone because of an error on there side. If they didn’t charge me £40 to leave (even though I’d only been with them for 45 mins), I would have left on the call right then. Such a bad customer experience, I’m amazed a company would make it that hard to contact them. I get it’s 2026, but they’re insurance - that’s ridiculous.

Carl was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and calmly. In a bereavement situation that is essential for me. But I did speak to 2 other staff on 20/8 and I’m afraid they could not help or did not know/understand what I was saying. Please though pass my good wishes to Carl & thank him - you need to train your staff to be more professional like him

Contacted your claims dept 3times with forewarned Emails from my current insurance regarding a NON FAULT incident that my current insurer assured me would not be a problem But your people wanted to increase the quote by nearly £200 ! So I gave up out of frustration and went else wear plus i would not recommend you to anybody

I wanted to clarify that when applying for an insurance policy, it is standard practice for insurance companies to check the CUE database to access any claims history. CUE is a central database that holds information on all insurance claims and incident reports made by policyholders. If the information disclosed does not match what the database confirms, we ask for you to contact us to discuss this in more detail. When updating the information to match the CUE database, this can affect the premium you were originally quoted. We apologise if this was not made clear to you during the conversation you had with us.
We're sorry that, despite contacting us on several occasions and providing the information requested, the outcome was not what you expected and ultimately led you to seek cover elsewhere. We appreciate how frustrating this must have been.
