BDO SM Aura Branch – Always Out of Cash or Out of Order!
I go to this branch almost every week, and it’s very disappointing that most of the ATMs — sometimes all eight of them — are either out of cash or out of order. Even the three machines attached to the branch are often not working. It’s very frustrating to go all the way there only to find no working machine again and again.
If you try to go inside to withdraw from the counter, you’ll wait nearly an hour in line. I really wonder if BDO leadership knows what’s happening here. They need to upgrade their machines, train their staff better, or at least assign a technician instead of so many security guards doing nothing . Every day there’s a “Temporary Out of Order” sign — but when it happens daily, it’s no longer temporary!
BDO may be one of the “OK” banks in the Philippines, but definitely not one of the best, especially compared to other banks around the world. I hope they fix this soon because customers deserve better service and working ATMs, not daily inconvenience.

I’d like to share my recent experience following up on my BDO Life insurance. Many thanks to Sir Jovic Agruda of BDO Lucena Enriquez branch, whom I contacted in 2024. Even after a year since I live in France, communication with him was easy and efficient. He assisted me in verifying my account and ensured I received my requested copy of the fully paid letter.
Sir Jovic is a dedicated employee who truly values his work and ensures customer satisfaction. Excellent service! 😊👏

This is an absurdly bad large Filipino banking company. I do not know how they are allowed to continue to operate. My experience with dealing with them them even indirectly has been horrible. There should be a class action lawsuit against them or the Philippines' government should shut them down. Their biggest flaw is their totally inept computer system. They have become much worse in the last couple of years! The date of my experience shown is only the latest in a litany incidences of horrible problems with BDO.
Multiple identical unauthorized…
Multiple identical unauthorized transactions in my account. BDO confirmed as unauthorized. Refunded less than one third of total. Told I now have to email their fraud department as the case was already "resolved". I emailed and no response. Tried to fill in a dispute form online but it will not allow you to submit a form. Was not able to get a replacement card as well. Waited an hour in their physical branch. Had to go and was not attended to. Horrible bank.

Fraud Charges with my BDO card
I had a very disappointing experience with BDO. I initially reported a fraudulent transaction on my credit card and contacted the merchant directly. I informed them that the charges were unauthorized and requested their assistance in refunding the amount. The merchant responded promptly, advising me to have BDO revert the charges directly to them instead of billing me.
Despite forwarding this correspondence as proof that the merchant would cover the charges, BDO’s Fraud Department did not take any action and still charged the amount to my account. Their customer service was unsatisfactory, and their attitude seemed indifferent to my concerns. This was especially frustrating given their slogan, “We find ways,” which I now see as a reflection of their tendency to prioritize charging customers over resolving issues.
As a loyal customer for many years, I felt neglected and unvalued. Consequently, I have decided to close all my accounts with BDO.

Worst and slow service bank in the Philippines.
Very slow service, deposit transaction number ko. No movement
In my experience, the service is very slow in the bank. There is letter P001, S###,B### these are the transaction on the screen. Only letter P, S are somehow moving. For letter B i was there for an hour it was stuck. i ended up leaving Ako un nauna, nka alis na mga iba na mas huli sakin. Ako andon pa. Wala ng 1st come 1st serve basis, para saan pa ang number kung gnon. Kaht nauna ako pero lahat ng nahuli ntwag na sa lette P at letter S na transaction number. It is so unfair to others like me. Sana pina pila nyo nlng. I ended up leaving the bank. And went to another branch, only to experience thesame thing. Transcation letter P at letter S na mga mas nahuli dumating sakin ang nkauwi na! Not a fair service!
Awful bank systems and terrible customer support
Awful bank systems. Online password didnt work at first as they had 2 apps and a webpage, had to go webpage first. impossible to fix later, had to visit the bank and fix it on their system. Worked for a week then broken and impossible to reset pass/code. Then the Debit card code just stopped working 6 months later. Had to do a 5 hour round trip and they just ask you to try in their ATM. And it works. Try it again where we live. Nope dont work. Then we go from Bohol to Cebu and we try it in their ATM. Dont work and 500 people in front of you in que for 5 min jobs that takes 30 min each.
So now im out 7000php just to try and fix my card several times, traveling here and there and transfering in and out of foreign accounts etc... Absolutely ridicilous!
And every BDO unibank is a seperate branch that dosent really interact with each other causing more problems...
Closing my account and i will never use them again. Waste of time and money.

Why its so hard to transact with you? Is it really your job to make our banking experience very undelightful?
My father came to your branches today, June 19, 2025 to have a reservation to buy 1,400 worth of CAD. Your staff refuse and say it will take a month.
I personally know BDO mangement from other branches, and I have inquired to them regarding Dollar buying reservation. Why would your staff say that it will take a month when it can actually be done in a day?
I will not ask my father to transact with you and make a reservation if it was not confirmed that it only takes a day. Also, we could have make the transaction with the one we know if it wouldn't take so much to travel and the hassle of the traffic in the metro.
You two, BDO Concepcion and BDO Bayan Bayanan does not confirm with your company's tagline. Honestly, you did not take effort to find ways to accommodate and help us.
Hope you could align your policies and guidelines throughout your branches.

Very bad service. Bdo migrated customer details into new app without using the up-to-date customer information. What a total non-sense. It takes them 5 business days to respond on change of number even with multiple follow up conversations over phone and email.
