Great products but service not perfect
I purchased a spare part for a pram from Born, which I'd not been able to find elsewhere. It was also a reasonable price which was great. To get free delivery I just needed to buy products of another £5 so purchased a couple of pairs of scratch mits, which were also really nice.
The only issue I had was regarding delivery whereby Born were at fault rather than the carrier. After placing the order online I called Born to ask about when my order might be delivered (due to not being home some days). I was told it would be posted that same day & delivered by Parcelforce so it would then be in their hands & I would therefore hear from Parcelforce regarding a delivery date; if that date wasn't convenient I could rearrange with them.
Six days later & I'd not received the parcel nor heard from Parcelforce or Born, so again I called them. No apology was made, but I was asked if I'd received a phone call telling me that one of the pairs of scratch mits weren't available & if a different colour would be OK instead. I hadn't heard anything, so it's a good job I'd contacted them otherwise I might still be waiting!
I was told that I would now have to wait a few days for the parcel, but I explained that I could do with it being delivered sooner rather than later as my baby was due any day. The lady on the phone said that their deliveries are by Royal Mail (not Parcelforce) so it was really down to Royal Mail as to when they delivered the parcel, and they could do it as next day but that would cost me extra. I didn't argue, but did think really that they should send it as next day & incur the cost, as it was me who had been inconvenienced with waiting & having to chase them up. And I'm not really sure why the original call suggested Parcelforce would be the carrier, whereas the later phone call stated Royal Mail.
Overall my experience with Born was fine; I'm pleased with the products, and would still use the company again. However I probably wouldn't rely on them for something I needed in a rush.
Also the response below is inaccurate; no voicemail was left & it seems no call to me attempted. The issue was only noticed during a conversation when I eventually called them as I'd heard nothing from them.

Very very good, just a smidgen over expected delivery time
Lovely experience checking Tripp Trapp out in shop then ordering to have it delivered, with an expected waiting time of three weeks, which we were fine with. Delivery arrived just over three weeks later, all present and correct, love the product, but by which time were were getting impatient! All in all a good experience though :) Thanks Born

Great Service
When most places we had asked did not have the Stokke items we needed, Born Direct went one step further and contacted Stokke and got the things we needed. Quoted 3 weeks+ for delivery, but was much sooner!

Quick dispatch with a personal service
I've been really impressed with Born experience. Buying a replacment buggy brake is more of a practical requirement, even so the easy of placing the order, quick dispatch (same day) and clear communication means I would recommend Born as a company to use.
I'm sure I'll be back - next time it will be for one of your beautiful baby products.
First Class Service
After a change in circumstances I needed my purchase sooner than the promised delivery. Born were immediately very helpful, contacted the supplier and arranged a direct delivery. Product arrived two days later.
Can't ask for better than that - will buy from them again.
Brilliant Service
I have experienced the larger retailers such as Mothercare, and find that Born's customer service far surpasses the more familiar names. Strongly recommend Born over some of the big names.
Terrible state
I've order 2 bath support and both came with some odd stains. I initially thought this would be dust stains and after trying to scrub them for a good 10 minutes nothing came out.
Now I have these two supports I'll never use because they are all stained and the every time I pass my hand it keeps brow. i would NEVER put my baby in this.
The problem is not the product as i've seen it and used it before. I jsut have no idea where born stores their product before they ship it..

excellent customer service
After ordering the wrong item, I rang the Born head office. They were happy to help over the phone. Easy and will definitely use again. Highly recommended
Levo rocker - wrong colour delivered in twice the stated time
As it says in the title. The item was delivered after just over 2 weeks and not even despatched till 11 days after the order was placed (claimed 4-7 for despatch). Had to enquire about an order myself as no one from Born contacted me about the delay.
When it was finally delivered it turned out the item was a different colour from what I've ordered. I was actually quite happy about it as it was the colour I initially wanted but was showing as out of stock. Still, did not receive what was ordered and in different circumstances that we be unacceptable.
To add insult to injury as an apology for an order being late I received a voucher for 10% discount. I work in retail myself and 10% is an incentive for next purchase or just an offer. What it is not, is an apology.
Also, the item itself was packed in what looked like second hand brown box with lots of really hard to remove transit stickers. Not ideal as it was purchased as a gift. Also not what I was expecting from a £150 baby rocker.
As for the rocker itself it is really beautifully made from good quality materials.
I have to say both people I spoke to from Born customer service were very polite, helpful and efficient.

Purchase of Mozart, blabla monkey
Staff at Born were very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. When I received the monkey I let it on my desk in the office and loads of people commented on how much they liked it, even one of the creative directors. This is the 3rd one my son has had, he adores it.
Delivery took several days, even though it was travelling from one side of London to the other. So assume the delivery service was not as reliable.
One stop shop!
After buying most of our baby paraphernalia from Born two years ago when we had our first daughter, it was a complete no-brainer to return to them for our twins, due early summer. They made everything so easy. The first thing to note is that they only stock excellent products, all of which are durable (Stokke furniture that grows with your baby, real nappies, high quality slings...), so they've done some weeding for you before you even begin. Their staff team is knowledgeable, friendly & human. Orders are done swiftly, delivered at the customer's convenience and everything is in perfect order. Because we are having twins, they offered us a discount on our purchases, and that was on top of the excellent bundle offers. We appreciated, too, the free gift of a beautiful muslin.
Having done our first hypnobirthing course here two years ago, we can also vouch for the quality of the courses etc on offer. In short, you can do no better for personal service, excellent products & fair prices.
