I booked a 10-minute appointment on April 25, 2025, from 11:50 to 12:00, with the intention of asking one simple question. I’m on a Skilled Worker visa (initially for 2 years), and my family applied for their visas to join me 5 months after my visa approval. I wanted to know if there was any way to cover this 5-month gap and if I could apply for an extension of my Skilled Worker visa for 3 years and 5 months.

Mr. Bukhrai’s response was “No,” stating that I could not extend my Skilled Worker visa to cover the required 5-year ILR requirement. According to him, the Home Office only issues Skilled Worker visas for 2, 3, or 5 years. He suggested that I email the Home Office for further clarification.

However, I found Mr. Bukhrai’s reply to be completely incorrect. I was able to extend my visa for 3 years and 5 months without any issues, along with my dependents. A Skilled Worker visa can be issued for any duration, as long as it does not exceed 5 years. The length of the visa is entirely dependent on the COS work start and end date.

Mr Bukhari was opened and friendly. He interpreted my case to me and what and where I went wrong. I like the fact that he didn't mince words with me. He told me the truth and what to expect but above all, his words gave me hope.

I strongly advise against spending your money on Ali Bukhari. While he appears friendly and approachable on social media, my experience was completely different. I had booked a session with him for a quick consultation.

When I started asking questions, he became irritated and told me I was frustrating him. This seemed to happen when I mentioned that I had read the nationalization guidelines on the official website. He appeared annoyed that I had done my own research and became defensive and unprofessional. Throughout the call, he kept raising his voice and, rather than offering clear advice, repeatedly said, “I can’t tell you what to do.”

Overall, it was a disappointing and unprofessional experience. Please take the time to read all of his one-star reviews on Google—they clearly reflect how they treat people. Mr. Ali Bukhari has also turned off comments on TikTok to prevent real users from calling him out. Don’t waste your hard-earned money on this ineffective solicitor.
