I called the cLaims department to see if my car was covered, The interviewer started asking me all kinds of questions trying to confuse me and putting words into my mouth, making things worse than they really were Asking why I didn’t take it in sooner when it first made nosies, he had me so upset and confused, they used my words against me and will not pay the claim I wasn’t fast enough, I had to go to Colorado and bury my son-in-law, I was honest and told them My husband hear some noise, he thought it was the muffler, but when I took it in for in oil change was when they found it needed lower arm Bushings, so I made an appointment for the next available service day at CarDealers. That’s when they used my words against me, they didn’t pay because I didn’t take it in the first sign of trouble, the thing is there was no trouble or no sign of trouble, Trying desperately to explain this to them, They said that they would review the recording, I got a call back and she said after review they had to go by the first inspectors determination, denying claim. It ended up costing me $868.85, after I’ve paid $177.75 a month for the past 2 years for the platinum coverage! I am not sure about this company?

I think Trust Pilot needs to be able to verify these claims. Take a look at the Yelp reviews and they are 99% 1 star. There can not be that much difference unless Carguard is getting people to pump up their reviews. Also read the BS reviews. They all have similar wording for all the glorious things that have been done.
Not too much creditably for Trust Pilot.
I'll put my trust in the Yelp reviews.

Carguard finds every way to deny claims. Despite the definitions in the warranty book they denied my claim stating that my vehicle is being used for commercial use when it does not fit their definition. Why even define things when it does not count? It's just another loophole they use to deny claims. Don't waste money on Carguard extended warranties. I learned a costly lesson and wasted time and lots of money. Worst extended warranty policy ever. All they do is collect your money and then deny your claim. Great hustle Carguard. This really need to be a zero rating....Don't use them!

This is as total rip off. They give you the run around and make excuses when youu try to cancel.

$3100 Down the Drain.

My electrical system was out ...not a major repair but falls directly under "Covered" in the policy

THey stated that alot of the work was diagnostic and therefore wouldnt cover ANY of the repairs

Bottom line I paid $3100 for a warranty on Items like Electronic systes outages in the car. ISPECIFICALLY asked salesperson if thart s covered 3 separate occasions.
1st time I go to use policy($350 repair) they say they will not cove ONE CENT.

I have a 2018 BMW X1... I paid $4,246.00 for the deluxe service contract in 2020. On 1/28/2022 car went to BMW min of Dallas for repair. I have been waiting on a inspection. Every time I call CarGuard Admin I keep getting there no update. A total rip off I have be scammed by this company do not buy this extended warranty you will be rip off.

If I could put ZERO stars I would! This company makes FALSE claims that they will cover your car and THEY WONT! Then they'll make every excuse in the book not to cover anything once you file a claim with them! They do not make you have an inspection BEFORE signing on with them, so that then they can deny all your claims and say its "PRE-EXISTING!" Then when I proved it was not pre-existing, they hung up on me everytime I called. This was my 17yr old sons car that HE IS PAYING the extra warranty on so he wouldn't end up not being able to afford repairs he might need. So basically THEY STOLE money that he could've been saving ($129 a MONTH) to pay for the repairs he now needs and he has NOTHING! The car has been at the repair shop now sitting there for 3 weeks! It took them this long just to deny the claim. Even after I (along with the repairman) together we repeatedly proved it was not pre-existing! The last excuse they used was the bill of sale was written in 2 different in colors of ink! Therefore its FAKE! That is NOT TRUE! So, now they wont answer MY calls or return my emails. I'm filing a claim with the ND State Atty General and the BBB today! RUN! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY !!!! ITS A SCAM!!!!! And our repairman agree's! I wouldn't recommend them I had f150 got the rearend repaired called the Warranty company to get repair paid and was denied. They said it was neglected why would I neglect it when I have a warranty.if I would have known that I would have bought a warranty some where else!!when I bought the Warranty from JR Auto protection they told me it would be no problem now I have a big problem who's going to pay my bill they took my money but when I got a 4200 dollar bill all the sudden I'm not covered that's b!!!!!!!!! Seriously stay away from this place!rip off

Stay away from this place I canceled my warranty 2 months ago because I sold my car. An they said they would send an email to give me my refund. Never got a single email an now they just charged me another $300 an I called an asked why I was still being charged when I don’t have the car an my account has been deleted as they said. an they kept hanging up on me DO NOT GIVE THESE SCUM BAGS YOUR MONEY.

This company is a ripoff!!! Do not buy the platinum coverage policy. Worst extended warranty policy ever. All they do is collect your money and then deny your claim. Great hustle Carguard. All the 5 star reviews are obvious cover up for the way they are scamming there customers. I'm reporting them to the FTC for a compliant.

If I could give a zero I would. I need work done on my car and I had a warranty before and they would help find a place to get your car fixed but not this company, they have no listings of where you can go and was very idgad about it. Are u legit or a rip off company?

Complete consumer scam . They tried every excuse to not pay for a covered repair on our car. Week four of not having my car. Big mistake. My $100 deductible is now costing almost $900

Tried to sell me a plan that was the equivalent of 25% the price of a new vehicle for a car that is less than 5 years old. The numbers they used are complete lies about repair costs, repair frequency, and cost of new vehicles. When I asked questions that challenged it, the sales rep got combative and started insulting me for challenging them. Stay clear, this is a fraud designed to steal your money, masquerading as an extended warranty. You're better off "investing" your money in bitcoin than paying for this coverage.

I was sold a platinum deluxe package on 8/11/2020. I was sent a booklet that explained the whole policy. It was projected in this that the complete truck was covered less things like hoses, belts, and regular service that I fully understood. The policy did not go into effect until 30 days and 1000 miles had passed. It’s now February and I have put 1155 miles on my truck since I bought the protection plan. The turbo is out and they have been rude to me trying to get it settled. Their first excuse was it could be fixed in 3 minutes, then they said it wouldn’t be covered because of carbon buildup, they then wanted pics of the turbo torn apart. It was and obviously shows the vain plate clearly shows it is wearing and sticking. Now they refuse to pay because it was a pre-existing condition. They accepted the first 7 months of payments and never asked one thing about my truck. They are nothing more than a fraud. Every car they accept has pre-existing wear and no one knows when something is going to happen. Now they have promised to call me back three different times and no call back. I would not even do one star. TERRIBLE COMPANY, CROOKS.

I was considering an extended warranty and purchased a policy to review. I decided it was not a good match and canceled. It has been a four month process of answering services, promises of refunds / cancellation and bills. This company is purposefully opaque so as to make customer service non existent. Stay far away.
