I booked GAPS Park & Ride through Compare Parking Prices because the provider was advertised with an impressive 4.8-star rating. The website also claimed that parking operators were vetted and provided reassurance about safety and reliability.

However, shortly before my departure, I checked independent reviews and was shocked to discover serious complaints, including vehicle damage supported by photographs, cars allegedly being driven without owners’ permission, and even reports involving the police.

These were serious concerns about vehicle safety, not just poor customer service. I simply could not risk leaving my car with this operator.

As a result, on the day of departure, I had to arrange alternative parking at Gatwick Airport’s official Long Stay car park, at considerably greater expense.

I immediately contacted Compare Parking Prices to cancel and request a refund. Despite repeated follow-ups and delayed responses, they eventually refused, citing their 48-hour cancellation policy. Even the link they provided to their terms and conditions did not work!

What disappoints me most is the misleading impression created by their 4.8-star rating and reassuring claims about vetted operators, which were completely at odds with the serious complaints I subsequently discovered.

I lost £40, but I would rather lose that than risk my car.

My advice: Do not rely on the ratings displayed on this website. Always check independent reviews before booking.

I certainly won’t be using Compare Parking Prices again.

No parking site at all!
I couldn't get my money back, paid for it, then followed the instructions to parking there 3was no parking, called the phone and somebody sent me to another company parking, upon arrival to the other parking site the telephone told me to go to, they told me it wasn't them. Almost lost my flight booking a new one on the go!

If I could leave no stars I would. Tried to cancel my booking (with cancellation insurance) but despite trying to contact the company by email, 2 times with no reply, multiple unanswered phone calls and using the customer support chat which suddenly stopped talking to me, I have got nowhere. I was in the local of the selected car park and found it to be a muddy compound with what I consider to be easy public access. I would rather lose my booking fee than park there.

Avoid at all cost! This company works with shoddy car parking providers. I cancelled my booking minutes after paying, advising I want a refund as I checked the reviews and realised the parking provider allocated was dodgy. It’s now been 2 weeks and no one has responded to me or refunded me.

DREADFUL. I tried to cancel my booking within a few mins of booking, after realising that I would need to hand my keys over. Two weeks later and after a series of emails to the company (and following all the instructions on their website), I have still not had any response and no money has been returned. Don't trust this company.

Worse meet and greet company I have ever experienced. Picked my car up which had a Penalty Notice attached due to them double parking in the Luton Car Park. Said this would be paid by them and the dispute has been on-going for over a month, which has not been paid and promises are worth nothing. Paid £ 96.00 for the week - and was the worse customer service I have ever experienced.

I opted for free cancellation and when requested cancelled my booking but haven’t refunded even after 16 days

These guys literally damaged my vehicle in several ways (punctured tyre, damaged door etc.). Whoever was handling my vehicle from this company clearly driven it with a flat tyre after puncturing it because it's now damaged beyond repair.

Additionaly, I was also told that i would find my vehicle on the 5th floor Gatwick airport but instead i received a call that it would be on the 4th floor. As a cheery on top, they also left my car keys on the front tyre!

Overall, if you dont care about your car then this company is for you, otherwise stay away from this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPARISON WEBSITE TO BOOK AIRPORT PARKING.I booked valet parking for Heathrow Airport (25 Sept – 4 Oct 2026, Booking Ref: CPP-128632) through Compare Parking Prices, who listed Lions Parking as a "recommended" provider.When my car was returned to me, it had severe, deep horizontal scratches running across both passenger-side doors. I immediately reported it to the driver, took photo evidence, and emailed both Lions Parking and Compare Parking Prices. Despite sending follow-up emails and phoning customer support to raise a formal complaint, Compare Parking Prices has provided zero assistance and completely ignores their responsibility for listing and recommending low-rated, rogue operators on their platform.Promoting a company as "recommended" when they return damaged vehicles and ignore customer claims is completely misleading. Do not be tempted by low prices on this website—it is not worth the risk.I am now escalating this through my credit card provider (Section 75/Chargeback) and my motor insurer. Avoid this booking platform!

Scammers they take your money and that is it do not use

They don’t deserve even one star hidden prices we are now blocked on the phones from getting a refund the price you pay is ONLY TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE CAR PARK!! I can’t stress this enough AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS 70 quid to take your car about 5 mins down the road and that’s not included your parking now can’t get ahold of the company to get a refund no doubt they are waiting for the days to run over the refund time then they will take 15 quid admin fee AVOID AVOID AVOID DONT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arranged a meet and greet. On arrival at Heathrow they text me telling me to collect my car from the compound instead of meet and greet. Cost me £27 in a taxi. On arrival to collect my car they had put the key on my wheel risking theft. I also noticed that my car had been keyed causing £1000s of damage. The next day on checking TFL website it was revealed that my car had been used around London on at least three occasions. They now aren’t answering my emails or calls.

Told us we had cancelled our booking now denying responsibility as we had to find a last-minute car Parking replacement which cost us more money and they are saying that the provider is liable and they have nothing to do with it. Do not use all emails on our bouncing back totally unprofessional now going down the Legal route.

Do not use CompareParkingPrices for Heathrow Parking - the service provider they endorsed actually used our car while we were away and got a penalty charge notice of £160 and now that we have asked for an explanation and to be reimbursed they apparently don't exist at the address on Companies House and they won't respond!

Our party consisted of 4 pension age travellers using one car to get to Heathrow Terminal 3.
Both departure and return ‘meet and greet’ process would more accurately be renamed ‘wait and meet’! What a shambles! The return event was especially frustrating. Following the ‘IMPORTANT SERVICE INFORMATION’ supplied we duly called (and texted) the number provided (to advise we had collected our luggage) at the correct time, with absolutely no response. We waited at Heathrow T3 Level4 Row A for over an hour! Then found an alternative number on our original confirmation and actually got through to a human being. When the driver arrived he asserted that the company “obviously” used more than one telephone contact number. Clearly the one provided to us, on their ‘meet and greet’ instruction, was not ‘manned’ or used or something!! In total, due to these delays we incurred additional parking fees at the terminal. A really awful experience, which we wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

THE SAME WEB SITES AND OPORATORS: It seems that all of the Heathrow price comparison web sites are run by the same company and all the operators listed with different names on each site are the the same single operator. They all give the same discount code.

LOCATION: None show the location of the parking until the booking is made. They don't answer the phone or respond to emails.

EXTRA CHARGES: There is a hidden charge once you book. If your booking is within 48 hours then there is no cancellation refund. They charge £7 each way for passengers of each vehicle. This they claim is for the Heathrow drop off charge. The Heathrow drop off charge is £7 per vehicle. But they collect from everyone. So if the van has passengers from 5 vehicles then they collect 5x£7. This is the same for the pick up. So they make additional money under false claims.

OFFICE HUT: The instruction say report to the office hut on arrival. But there is no hut. It was pouring with rain when we arrived and had to stand outside in a queue whilst they checked our details via a paper system.

TIMING: We were taken to the airport as soon as the admin was completed and were picked up 30 minutes after we called on our return.

I booked last minute on the day for car parking, standard ones were £200+ for 3 mights, compareparking prices was £38, I couldnt believe it, thought I will take the chance. The booking was done via an intermediary Willow Parking Ltd T/A Arc Parkng. Then received a confirmation email, where the T&C and the instructions were emailed. I got concerned that the drop off charge wasnt explicitly mentioned during the booking process. But, was pleasantly surprised, the intermediary Willow Parking Ltd T/A Arc Parkng was quite good experience. Found the parking, had to call them 30 minutes before arrival (store the number), they had a van waiting, collected £14 drop off charge for both onward and return (via a card reader), straight was dropped off at T2. On return, called, was asked to come to Level 2 short stay car parking, they bought the car to the parking lot, and paid off the parking charge themselves and gave me the paid off ticket to get to the exit. No time wasted. I was pleasantly surprised. Took 1 star off because the ULEZ (if your car is not compliant) and Drop off charge are additional to the parking charge. But, still came to 25% of other direct T2 or Purple parking.Definitely will use WillowParking (if it gets displayed as the intermediary)

Don't go through this company as it doesn't provide any accountability to who you actually book the parking with. The underlying parking operator can end up being entirely different to the one you think you've booked. In my case I booked with Platinum Parking LTD, but ended up with a company called Lion Parking which is a disgrace. This is bad from Compare Parking Prices perspective as Lion Parking has a disgraceful reputation but this website lets them hide this behind a fake name and ratings which their website then promotes

Very easy to compare prices but I booked two spaces and then saw that the company had awful reviews so I wanted to cancel the bookings but no one replies to my emails and no one answers the telephone number provided.
I WOULD NOT use them to book anything future and I suggest everyone else looks elsewhere for parking.
