Current state of play
- bought three Devola panel heaters
- paid for installation
- one went faulty
- asked for refund and to cover costs of reinstallation
- Devola cites not 'integral' installation when I cite relevant section consumer rights act
Unsure whether company are in keeping with consumer rights act. Definate penny pinching and lack of will to make good with a customer.
So suggest you cross your fingers and hope no fault develops if you use electrician to install product

The item was damaged and the socket already had burn marks as well as a used remote control. Appears I was sent a used/returned item rather than a brand new item, so much for quality control. So I never got to actually try the heater, sent it back for a refund as unsatisfied with the service I received, no apology or anything from Devola.

The extractor was quick and easy to order, came very quickly and was a great price. Installation was ok as it was a simple replacement but I did struggle a little with the very small power line connection terminals. The extractor is not as quiet as my previous one, from a different manufacturer, but not too noisy either. The fan is working well and easy to adjust the timer from about 2 to 30 minutes, though I keep it towards the lower end.

I have ordered heaters from Devola, specifically the wifi electric heaters and 4 of them in total, after seeing that they had decent reviews and that they connect to the WiFi fairly well.
I had been ordering these heaters for my new home, which I am due to move into relatively soon.
Come the day of the heaters arriving, I was quite excited, as this is quite an important part of any home. I was quite quickly frustrated, angry and annoyed by what I had received. 3 of 4 heaters were, in my opinions not fit to have even left the warehouse.
The first had a footmark across the book where someone had either kicked it or stepped on it, and this had gone through, causing a dent on the heater.
the second did not have a foot mark on the box but the section of the heater that was connected to the glass panel was bent
the third had wiring exposed which was pressed between two metal plates and could not be moved.
I had contacted Devola, who were quick to get back, but to be completely honest, were not much help.
They had initially refused to take the heaters back and offered me 5% off the value of the heater. I did not accept this. They have then agreed to give me 10% for the dented heaters and agreed to replace the heater with the wire exposed - they have warned me that I could end up having to pay a £25 fee for the replacement process should they find that the heater works.
The care team have been awful, instead of offering to replace, they have offered me a minuscule amount for goods I had purchased brand new but were not in a brand new state. They have been difficult at best, and I still remain in the dark about whether I will have to pay for the replacement, which would still leave me out of pocket more if you take into consideration the 2 damaged heaters i have been reimbursed for.
The £17 i have been paid back for two damaged heaters could easily be offset for the £25 fee for replacing the other heater. Getting the team to do anything helpful was a challenge and they were quite difficult to get anywhere with.
