Terrible negative attitude from Dundee office on 6/8/26 After a serious fall due to an uneven pavement at Kingsway, Dundee I enquired about a compensation claim and was told I probably would not win against Dundee City Council.

We are committed to helping as many people as we can. However, we are sadly not able to take on every enquiry we receive. We understand how difficult and disappointing this can be, particularly when someone is dealing with the impact of an injury and ongoing pain.
In Scotland there is no automatic right to compensation. For a personal injury claim to succeed we must be able to show there is sufficient evidence that another party was at fault. Without that evidence, it is unfortunately unlikely that a case would succeed.
We cannot find a client file which matches your details. So we can understand what happened and look into your concerns fully could you please send your case reference, or further details about your enquiry, to help@digbybrown.co.uk?

Following a motor accident when I was knocked over by a vehicle, I had no intention of seeking compensation. However, given my injuries friends and family eventually persuaded me to do so.
I contacted Digby Brown and they agreed to take my case on when I was assigned to Ewen Reid in their Inverness office. Ewen was first class all the way, putting me at ease even when I would question myself. He kept me up to date with all proceedings and made this as pain free as possible for me. He was with me all the way to the day of Court - when case was discharged to later date and then claim settled before before the date arrived!
I would totally recommend Digby Brown to anyone requiring such assistance and in particular Ewen.
