Very satisfied with EEC and no hard sell.
Knowing very little about solar panels we decided to make an appointment with EEC at their offices in Southport. We were not disappointed, we were given a very comprehensive explanation of how the system works and also shown the equipment. Using figures for our previous twelve months electricity consumption we received a cost for the installation, and a breakdown of the likely cost savings and pay-back period. The installation was completed in about six hours, the app was set up on our mobile phones, and we were shown how to use the app. There is a lot of information to digest at this early stage. After a few weeks we had a few more queries, which were answered very clearly and comprehensively. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we can highly recommend EEC.

PV Array, Inverter and Battery Installation
EEC Home Improvements installed a PV array c/w Inverter and Batteries at my property.
The pre-sales work, led by Corey, was excellent and included modelling of likely return on investment and a full site survey to agree layout of the panels, positioning of the electrical equipment and routing of the cables.
On the day of installation then teams turned up when expected, the work was neat and they left no mess. In particular, the electrician was excellent, routing the cables to give minimal visual impact and giving a full run-through of the system and monitoring app.
The electricity was off for a maximum of 5 minutes, so there was no real disruption.
The system has worked like a dream and we have seen a significant reduction in the Electricity Bill, even over winter.
EEC added Batteries to the system in March 2023 - they are real win, enabling us to use pretty much every kWh we generate.

Honest opinion from the Surveyor Gentleman. Very rare these days especially when it means the company would lose the custom.
Solar Panels would not have been appropriate in this case.

EEC Very Helpful
EEC installed re-chargable batteries for our solar panels (which EEC had previously installed) which were working great guns until we had a smart meter installed by our power company, after which the batteries stopped charging. I contacted Andy Locker from EEC who was very helpful. The power company forgot to link up the batteries again.
Thanks to his crystal clear, idiot-proof instructions I was able to get them working again in 5 minutes flat. I cannot thank Andy enough, and we're now using hardly any leccy from the grid despite the appalling weather we've had of late. We won't be using any grid leccy come summer at this rate! I highly recommend using ECC; they're very friendly, helpful, knowlegable and professional.

Installation of PV panels and Battery backup
With the surge in Solar, we knew it would be a while before EEC was able to fit our panels and batteries. From initial sales to instillation was 6 months. It would be preferred to be kept informed of potential instillation date as opposed to phoning to find out.
With Scaffolding in place, instillation day arrived with the goods being delivered very early from a lovely chirpy and welcoming driver. Soon after the two man team arrived however, it was identified that all but one of the panels could fit on the two faces of the roof. This was very frustrating and potentially disastrous but the installers were very supportive explaining the reasons allaying any initial concerns.
A long day for the electrician finishing after 12 hours!
Speaking to Tim, EECs Installer Liason Co-ordinator that evening and again the next day, he could see from the APP that the system was not working as it should, adding EEC would not take any payment until satisfied the system was working properly and for this, we were very grateful.
Tim made arrangements for a further two electricians to complete the task before waiting a couple of days to ensure the system was in fully working order, only then taking payment. While that took a further 3 weeks, EECs customer care from all their personal and after installation was superb, ensuring any issues we had were resolved efficiently and as quickly as possible.

I had solar panels fitted 9 years ago and then batteries added later. Everything is still working well. The fitters were very professional and tidy and the salesman checks in with me from time to time to make sure everything is OK. He's also available on mobile anytime I have a question. Honest and Professional
Unfortunately our property didn't lend itself well for Solar PV due to the aspects of the roof, after it being explained correctly and why it doesn't we can't thank EEC enough for the honesty compared to another company who did not go into any detail and looked like they were just looking for a sale, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend EEC to other people who's property are suitable for Solar PV.
