The History Factory Direct Flooring was founded in 2005. It is operated largely online and has accumulated thousands of happy customers over the years. However, although the online wood flooring business is not as old as one might think, the founders have experience in their chosen fields that spans over 28 years. Their knowledge of wood flooring, the sales and service process and its installation is unsurpassed anywhere in the industry, which is what makes the company work so well. This in turn has led to a series of extremely strong business relationships within the industry with professional fitters, large businesses and executives and some of the most well-known and respected manufacturers out there today. The Goal The need for Factory Direct Flooring arose from the countless customer tales of bad floor shopping experiences. Although there were some good stories, the founders realised that there was a gap in the market into which they could create the best UK based source for wood flooring products. The goal of Factory Direct Flooring was to offer as large a selection of quality wood flooring products as possible without compromising on the outstanding quality or the cost to the customer. As such, they wanted to offer a business that combined low prices with outstanding customer service and excellent availability. The Benefits The fact that Factory Direct Flooring is an online business helps to ensure that the overhead costs remain as low as possible and thus enabling them to pass the savings back to the customer by keeping wood flooring prices extremely low. The primary wood flooring showroom is virtual and not physical, thus meaning that Factory Direct Flooring has unlimited inventory space so consumers can take their time to browse the catalogue from the comfort of their own homes. They can see the products by different manufacturers and in different styles as and when they choose, thus reducing their own costs because they do not have to travel to showrooms or deal with sales people that push too hard on account of their commission levels. There is also no middleman associated with wood flooring. We deal directly with the best manufacturers of wood flooring in the world on a daily basis and then offer it directly to you. This gives us a major advantage in the marketplace. All of our wood flooring is stocked by us to send to you and so this ensures that our sales volume is up to 100 times bigger than our competitors. We simply blow them out of the water when it comes to pricing without skimping on quality. All of our staff are highly trained in the various types of wood flooring that we offer so they are fully able to answer any and all queries you may have. Although a little research may be needed to answer some questions, we will get back to you as soon as we can. Our staff roster includes freight handlers, order processors, sales advisors and customer service representatives, all of whom are dedicated to ensuring that you receive the best shopping experience possible. If you have ever visited a physical wood flooring store then you may have come away confused and even with products that you do not want. The sales assistants may not have been knowledgeable or able to answer your questions. They may have talked you into buying something that you did not want. If this is the case then you are not on your own but you can get away from that by purchasing from Factory Direct Flooring. All of our sales advisors are knowledgeable about wood flooring and will be able to answer your questions but they are also there to help instead of exerting pressure. They are all salaried and will be happy to help make sure that you only purchase what you absolutely want and need. The Savings The savings are self-evident. If you compare the prices for wood flooring offered by Factory Direct Flooring against the prices offered by your local retailer then you will notice that you will save between 25% and 70%. The Bottom Line Factory Direct Flooring has come an awful long way since 2005 and today stocks one of the largest ranges of wood flooring products in the country. We will continue to grow and evolve over the years purely and simply because we offer customers what they want- high quality wood flooring at low prices with helpful customer service thrown in for good measure. There are many articles that are posted in our advice centre that will help you to learn a little about the wood flooring we offer, from types to finishes to installation to care and maintenance. We have it all there so please check in to find out everything you need to know about us and our wood flooring today.

Same Product But Different Fit.
After installing laminate in one room I decided to laminate a second room. I ordered exactly the same product because I had a pack left over from the previous job to use up.
The new delivery had a different locking profile so wouldn't fit. Luckily I was able to fill some hidden corners with offcuts.
Second delivery man was more helpful in carrying the packs on to my property.

Brian,
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear our second delivery driver provided helpful service by bringing the packages onto your property. However, we recognise the frustration caused by the variation in the locking system between your orders, which prevented the planks from connecting easily. Product variations can occur with time, including with locking profiles, as part of any improvement process. We're please that your were able to overcome this and hope you are pleased with your project.

Extremely Disappointing Service
Extremely Disappointing Service – Two Failed Deliveries and No Respect for Customers
I would give zero stars if I could.
My experience with Factory Direct Flooring has been absolutely appalling. They have failed to deliver my vinyl flooring twice, despite confirming delivery dates. On both occasions, I waited at home for hours, wasting my valuable time, only for the delivery never to arrive.
To make matters worse, it has now been over two weeks since I removed the old flooring in my shop, preparing for the new flooring to arrive. I have been left waiting, with my shop affected, because I relied on this company to do what they promised.
And what was their solution? Instead of contacting me, explaining the situation, and giving me the option to agree on an alternative delivery arrangement, they simply decided to issue a refund and told me they would not be sending my flooring.
I did not ask for a refund. I wanted the flooring I had ordered and paid for.
The complete lack of communication, reliability and consideration for their customers is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen in any business, but failing twice and then making a decision on the customer's behalf without even discussing it is a different matter entirely.
I have lost time, been left in a difficult position with my shop flooring, and had to deal with unnecessary stress and inconvenience. My time is valuable, and this company has shown very little respect for it.
My advice to anyone considering ordering from Factory Direct Flooring: think carefully before placing your order. A delivery confirmation means nothing if the company cannot honour it, and based on my experience, you cannot rely on them to deliver when promised or handle problems professionally.
A deeply frustrating experience from start to finish. I would not recommend them based on the service I have received.

Hi Dilshad
We are always disappointed when our customers are let down by our carriers. In this case the first delivery arrived damaged. We replaced this and sent out a new order only to be notified by the carrier that they had again damaged it before even reaching you. We never take the decision lightly to cancel an order, but in some circumstance when we can not rely on the carrier to make the fulfilment successfully due to local issues with a depot, we do have to make the decision to cancel rather than fulfil to avoid unnecessary delays, further inconvenience and costs all round.
Whilst the outcome on this particular order was not what we would have set out to do, we're pleased that a further order from you was successfully delivered on 22nd. We share our concerns with our delivery partners and hope now that they have addressed the issues that caused the inconvenience.
We hope that your flooring project has at least now been able to be completed, and again apologise for the inconvenience.
Kind regards
factory Direct Flooring Ltd
