Fantastic value for money
I went into the Reading store looking for a cheap rucksack. I paid £5 for the years membership, and was able to buy a very nice Nepal 65 backpack for just £20 ! It's light, appears to be well-made, and should be perfect for my day-walks along the Thames footpath and trips to London. I was served by Veronica who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

A great place to look for outdoor…
A great place to look for outdoor clothing and equipment. Just entered to get some idea of the prices of winter pants. Sam was very helpful giving me ideas and recommendations. So next day i went in after deciding to buy from this store. And as i went alone to buy and Sophie was very helpful and got me the best deal. Great Customer Service. A big thank you to Sam ( i later got to know he was the manager) and Sophie.

Great help and advice with a smile
I went in to buy a pair of walking shoes and was pleasantly surprised with the help I received from Veronica the section supervisor, she helped me wade through the various important elements of a good walking boot, such as a good waterproofed upper section using Gor-Tex and a well made Sole with a high grip properties.. Great help and advice with a smile. Thanks Veronica

Hidden gem. Needs some tlc.
Staff are and have always been very helpful. Very happy with the service. Choice of products is good but needs to be more reflective of the area it is in. Climbing stuff is desperately needed. The store desperately needs a re fit or some tlc. It hasn’t changed in 20 years.
