None of the USB ports that I tried throughout the airport (integrated into seats and at tables) worked as of early July 2026. Just provide working power outlets everywhere. USB is a security hazar... Mehr ansehen

Awful experience, hard to get low quality WiFi, power plugs that do not work, dirty and waste everywhere, staff in shop with big attitude issues and do not want to work
Passengers had been bullied and humiliated by Geneva Airport ground staff 04July2026– Flight no. TK1920 Ground crew are very rude and bully passengers, keep insulting
Outdated security systems still require you to remove liquids and electronics from bags, but signage leaves much to be desired. Small TVs above security demonstrate more slowly than the time you are... Mehr ansehen

Allow Extra Time for Queues
Well had I read the reviews before booking, I would have used another airport.
The queues were horrendous for passport control. We waited for over 90 mins. By the time we got to baggage pickup our flight was not listed. Thankfully there was a young lad working at baggage who checked his phone and told us which conveyor our flight had been using.
On return I mistakenly thought it would be better as we were exiting the country. Again long queues checking passports before getting to boarding gate.
IF you use Geneva Airport ensure you add on 2 hours of queuing to allow for onward travel etc.
Abysmal experience
Absolutely shocking. The queue for passport control was bad enough (longer than our flight time from the UK), but baggage reclaim was a scene of total carnage. The contents of numerous flights piled up with no logic whatsoever, and ignorant staff treating people's expensive ski equipment with contempt. I assumed this was all due to the new ESS requirements, but we merely had our passports stamped in the 'traditional' way - and reading past reviews suggests that Geneva has been like this for years. Somehow we have always dodged the trouble on previous ski trips. Moral - don't go skiing on a Saturday, or fly to Lyon. It can't possibly be as bad. Even the train would have been quicker.
Passport control a complete shambles
Passport control a complete shambles , so much for Swiss efficiency. Had to join a bus queue before we were allowed into the terminal to join the 400m queue which took just under two hours !
It’s not as if they don’t know what flights are arriving , a complete lack of planning.
3hrs from walking down from plane to…
3hrs from walking down from plane to getting outside! 4 people on passport control for thousands coming sking from the UK. This is very wrong, nobody cares. People coming skiing is nothing new but you are deliberately not doing anything to help the situation. Avoid Geneva.
Horrible horrible airport
Horrible horrible airport. Arrogant staff, filthy dirty toilets, out of control security and outdated equipment. Only exists because of the city hub and the Alps otherwise this airport would be finished.
Makes Heathrow look fantastic
Cramped check in with huge queues (including for BA Club Europe). Big queue for non-EU passport control and EU passport gates seemed to be failing 50% of people. British Airways lounge is pre passport control which is useless given the unknown time to get through the passport queues. Catering in C gates woeful - Sportd Bar not showing any sport and point of sale system has broken on last two visits.
Utterly shocking airport
Utterly shocking airport. Just won’t bother coming to Switzerland. 2 hours to queue to get into a country that has nothing going for it.
Such an under developed airport
For a country so well developed this airport is so under developed. The queue for passport has taken 3hours, which is so backwards compared to literally any other airport.
How they can have no investment for more kiosks or e-gates is beyond me, considering the amount of footfall this airport will have.
Fly elsewhere.
Huge cues on arrivals, check in, passport
Huge cues on arrivals, only 2 passport officers and a cue of hundreds.
Huge cues on Arrivals to check in. Once you check in you cue for a bus to the other terminal. Then you walk for ages to get to passport control. Huge cues at passport control , then cue for another bus to bring you back to the original terminal.. seriously??
And this is consistently poor every year for ski holidays.
Easily the worst organised airport I’ve ever been to.
Terrible service, awful internet
I arrived on a Saturday amidst the skiing scrum. Passport queue was one hour thirty minutes, they had 4 passport desks open and automated passport gates were not operating. I left on a Wednesday morning when the airport was much quieter. Exactly the same passport control experience, except they had a chap telling you which gate to use, which really made a huge difference. The internet is terrible and the 5G connection worse than useless. For a city that hosts hundred of international organisations it seems incredible that no one cares about the airport experience. It has always been a dreadful airport, and proudly remains so to this day
What a way to welcome your guests
What a way to welcome your guests! Hours of queuing and then chaos in the baggage hall, It felt like I was visiting a third world country. Interesting that Swiss passport holders can use the electronic gates when they come to the UK. Whoever is responsible for this shambles should hold their heads in shame.
Just a mess
Chaotic drop off, chaotic car rental return with infrequent buses, terrible food selection, dated, dirty, just a mess really. Whoever manages this place should be fired immediately.
Badly designed and organised airport
Medium sized airport with the design and organisation of the airport terrible for modern flyers. Those on transfers have to leave the main airport terminal to check back in. If you arrive in the evening and your next flight is in the morning you have to sit with the numerous homeless trying to keep warm. Passport control is tragic! Passport control is after the gate is called. But the passport control is for many gates eg as at C. So many people queue and worry they will miss their flight. Loads of people queuing for passport control with 10 and 15 mins to departure and the staff just say "No lady call yet". Poor charging facilities. The duty free is also expensive and feels like extra taxes are added rather than removed.
Chaos from start to finish
I doubt there is a worse airport in Europe. From the drop off shambles to the check-in shambles to the food offering shambles to the passport check mistakes to the lack of seating at the gate to the delayed flight. Will actively avoid using this airport again.
The worst airport I have ever been to
The worst airport I have ever been to. 4 hour queues to check in. Delayed passport control. Overcrowded. Luggage not loaded onto plane so now without all bags. Rude staff. Never again
Astonished at sheer incompetence
Astonished at the consistency of incompetency. Everything went wrong, from arriving to departing. The three hour que on arrival was not punishing enough. The attendents revelled in having UK arrivals use the Brexit que, whispering gleefully "remember Brexit". Missed the transfer... had to get a cab for a 3 hour journey to slopes. Incredibly... the experience leaving Geneva was even worse... 1 hour que to get into the airport. Then a 1 hour scramble to find a person who knew what to do as baggage belt was broken... nothing. The managers threw a few teenagers to manage a stressful situation. They had no logistical training. Three flights of people had to carry bags onto the plane after a 2 hour passport control. What astonished me the most was that they explained fragments of the situation and solutions to different passengers. Great if you are a wizz at jigsaw puzzles. They had tannoys but somehow chose not to use them. Maybe they enjoyed shepherding people randomly into ques and shrugging. A lady actually fainted and was left on the floor and not helped in any way. Perhaps Farage is taking notes and will hire the staff to help stop boats arriving at Dover. The Swiss have found the best way of discouraging anyone wishing to enter their country...
Avoid at all costs
Just flew in today. After a three hour delay due to a faulty plane, imagine our disgust at having to queue for 90 minutes just to reach a passport control officer - who was nonchalant at best about our plight. Absolutely insane. We’ve been flying into GVA for almost 50 years now and it’s never been this appaulling. Countless passport control kiosks not in use as well. My poor sister, flying out of GVA today back to LHR, was stuck trying to check in for THREE HOURS?!?! And missed her flight. What is going on??
Geneva will lose tourist trade at this point and we will make sure we go via the French side instead. Absolutely insane!
Worst airport ever
Worst airport ever. Queues to get to check in desk were ridiculously long, over 2.5 hours just to check in. Then once through all lounges had queues as did food outlets. Very little positive about this airport. This is not my first experience of the awful queues. Will try to avoid it from now on.
Utter chaos
Utter chaos. 3.5 hours queuing just to check in. Staff clueless and overwhelmed; unable to advise where people should queue. Unable to use self-check in and baggage drop. Baggage didn’t make it onto plane. Baggage belts broke so bags piled up around check in. Everything unacceptably overpriced. Appalling experience overall.
