Amelia at The Dog in Studley waited on our table tonight, she was efficient and looked after us, chased our desserts without us asking and made sure everything was ok, great service thanks Amelia

Excellent service
We got served by Floss in The Harvester Griffin.
She was very nice, checked to see if everything was OK. The whole service was brilliant.
Harvester Taunton
We went to the Harvester Taunton and I have to say we were served by a young lady called Tia. She could not do enough for us. She definitely needs to be recognised for her efforts. The food was standard if it hadn’t been for the service we received I would have said it was a mediocre visit. Well done Tia
The new bread rolls are revolting
The new bread rolls are revolting. I no longer visit. I used to go once a week but since they’ve changed I’ve been once and never again.
Avoid at all cost
I booked a table for my Wife's birthday at Durley Inn, Bournemouth. I booked this restaurant because my Wife has intolerances and eating out can be quite stressful for her but she was happy to have the chicken and salad bar. After arriving 5 minutes early for our reservation, we were completely ignored at the 'wait here to be seated' sign for 15 minutes. I eventually went to the bar to ask if anyone was going to seat us, again a very rude attitude from the bar staff.
We were sat next to a table of very drunk, very noisy youngsters. We ordered a bottle of wine while we looked through the menu. After waiting another 15 minutes the server came over to take our order and to inform us there was no chicken. My Wife was so upset and left in tears, we returned to our hotel with nothing to eat that evening and one very spoilt birthday.
I have since written to the Harvester, twice, to be yet again totally ignored.
I will NEVER use a Harvester restaurant again.
We went to Redditch Harvester for…
We went to Redditch Harvester for dinner on evening of 4th July it was fairly busy when we arrived . Quickly ordered a soft drink and tap water , the soft drink can after 10 mins but no water so asked again ,starter salad was eaten still no water, mains came still no water so husband went to bar after 45 mins finally got my tap water!!!!
Menu also not as good as used to be and prices definitely higher thank goodness had voucher.
Ordered ice cream for dessert which wasn’t great and had melted a lot maybe out waiting to be served too long?
Very disappointing service maybe because tap water is free so I didn’t matter????
Disappointing visit to the Port Solent…
Disappointing visit to the Port Solent restaurant. They were very busy and long wait for food which we understood but when food finally arrived it was not what was ordered and was undercooked.
Supervisor attitude was poor with little customer service. Supervisor dropped food on floor which staff proceeded to walk over, and smashed a glass on floor and failed to sweep up all shreds of glass close by the salad bar.
Staff ignored us and table forgotten as our waitress had gone home. Only one staff member apologised and showed good customer service. Appreciate the staff were under pressure earlier in the evening but some of the staff’s attitudes were dismissive and it was clear they weren’t bothered.
Won’t be visiting again.
Soggy scampi and then overcharged
Booked a table at the spyglass at Weymouth at 3pm the so called free salad was poor quality a lot of items had run out and the sauces were also empty, l ordered scampi & chips scampi was just a soggy mess the best bit was the bread roll, on top of that they charged me evening prices of £22.49 each, not the 11.30 till 4pm fixed two course price of £16.49 each but l complained and the manager put things right, but to be honest the best part was the bread roll but very concerned about the overcharge l wonder how many customers this has happened to and not noticed Um
BEWARE...
We went with the children to the Harvester restaurant in Paignton on the harbour side.
On entering we were greeted by this young girl who told us where we could sit as we have a very small dog.
My daughter went to order our food and drinks. We were told there might be a wait time if they are busy. (they were not) the children were getting restless so after must have been over 40 minutes my daughter went up to check how long.. as others were coming in and they had had their food.
Eventually after about another 15 minutes it turned up. The children's meals looked okay and my daughter and I went for the 4 sharer. It was just disgusting. We had 3 of our 4 sharer and waited ages for the 4th one to turn up. It was all deep over fried, so much it was dark brown and I had to call a girl over and ask her what is the conjealed lumpy stuff in this container.. she picked it up and said oh I don't know and put it back on the plate...then looking at me as if to say..what!?... so I told her that is supposed to me the warm honey dip! As she reached for the dip again I said that the dish was so over done. It was just taken away no apologies.
Yes we waited again for it to be returned. At this time due to the long wait my daughter up and just asked for the children's dessert. 2 brownie and 2 ice creams. It was the last straw..who serves ice cream in a warm bowl... yes a warm bowl! One of my grandchildren just felt the bowl and refused to eat it.
So the long wait, for terrible food and I paid for that terrible experience I felt I had to right this review. It was our last meal in Paignton as we had been away for a few days. Just BEWARE...there are nicer restaurants further up which we wished we had gone to!
Harvester
Harvester, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire.
Took my grand daughter for lunch on the 6th anniversary of my dad's death, a place we often took him.
Our waitress was busy serving another party. Another eventually brought our meals. Mine was not warm, sauce was even cold. Decided to not make fuss. G daughter fished out a long hair from her tartar sauce. We complained. Manageress said sometimes hair can drift through the building and land on food. We left. So upsetting on many levels.
It’s 35 degrees so we wanted to pop out…
It’s 35 degrees so we wanted to pop out to go grab some food and cool down somewhere, harvester usually has air con on the whole time, yet their had their doors wide open so it wasn’t doing anything for the whole restaurant.
People were getting up and going because the heat was getting too much,
I felt sorry for the kitchen staff, while this was going on I looked around and considering it was quiet on a Saturday evening ( I could see why! )
menus are all dog eared and dirty, seats are worn down and looks tatty, it needs a total upgrade in there, menus changed, more expensive and wasn’t great,
Then their terminals went down so I said I’d pay cash- which is a legal tender, I just needed to get out, sweat was dripping in the heat
They said they’d have to check if they can accept cash? I mean what? We are in England and cash is a legal tender.
I stood at the doors trying to get some sort of air and then finally the girl gave me the bill I put down the cash and got put asap
People in there couldn’t order because terminals were down, so we’re fanning themselves down with the menus
No one was offering drinks or water while people were waiting it was just old, tatty, and not great.
Doubt I’ll be back to be fair
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. The app is a total con. Any rewards you get have to be used with 4 weeks but it doesn't tell you that except buried in the terms which no one reads. We can't afford to go all the time. Its a SPECIAL event. We don't do those every 4 weeks. Don't bother using the app to get rewards. The stamps don't get credited properly anyway so you'd be lucky to know whether you had rewards to collect in the first place. Also IGNORE the date right next to the 'view code' button that gives an expiry date. That's NOTHING to do with the reward or the code. A total con to make you think you'll get a reward - you won't! Thanks for spoiling Father's Day
Inhumane working conditions
My partner and I visited the Llantrisant restaurant this evening. Service was wonderful as always considering the circumstances, they were evidently short staffed and I completely understand due to the air conditioning being broken with no signs of anyone coming to repair it. The higher ups ought to be ashamed of themselves expecting their staff to work in these conditions, it is inhumane! Absolutely needs to be sorted, especially with the extreme heat we’ve been forecast
Delivery
We had a delivery from harvester ,the chips were hard sauce was missing and peas were just thrown in box very disappointed
Staff are lovely and helpful
Staff are lovely and helpful, Carly @ llanedyrn is great with us. She always gives us the table we like because it supports baby high chair. Food is always cooked to how we request it staff are always ready to help
A Completely Baffling Experience at Harvester Stanway
I've been a loyal Harvester customer for years, visiting at least once every month.
The food is always good and the staff are usually warm and friendly - which makes today's experience at Harvester Stanway even more baffling.
We arrived at 13:45 and asked for a table for four. The server kindly arranged a six-seater table for us, which I appreciated, but the table had a huge pillar right in the middle. Despite being a "bigger" table, the seating was unbelievably cramped - even for someone my size (153cm, 90lbs).
When we politely asked the male receptionist if we could switch to a normal four-seater table, he instantly replied, without checking anything:"We don't have other table."The restaurant was only about 40% full, with at least ten empty tables clearly available.
His attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. No effort to help, no courtesy, nothing. It genuinely felt like he wanted fewer customers so he could have less work.
After such an incomprehensible interaction, we decided to leave. Very disappointing experience for a place
I've supported for so many years.
No longer vegan friendly
All the vegan options appear to have disappeared from the menu, unless you count a bhaji put in a bun and called a burger. If I put a carrot in a bun, does that make it a burger too?
The only vegan option on the children’s menu is tomato pasta, which is such a tired, uninspired choice and offers very little in the way of protein or nutrition.
We discovered the new menu after turning up for a booking, and promptly left once we had read it. Even the lady at the front desk said the vegan burger had been really popular and that she did not understand why it had been removed either.
I can understand removing the vegan “chicken” wrap, as it was always very dry, but removing a decent and popular vegan options feels like a step backwards.
We are a large family, and like many families, only a couple of us are vegan. However, we choose where to eat based on whether everyone is accommodated. Sadly, this menu no longer does that.
Unbooked lunch …
Due to unexpected events we missed lunch & hadnt eaten for hours so were really hungry & popped to our local Harvester in Loughton. We got seated & provided with salad bowls very quickly by our lovely friendly server Beefy. I had also just recently recieved a main meal free offer which we were very grateful for. The service & advice from the young lady Beefy couldnt have been any better & the Fish she recommended was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our very late much needed lunch Thank you Harvester & Beefy.
Always a great experience at Harvester…

So I've always loved the Harvester
So I've always loved the Harvester, I've been a very good customer in there, and have taken a lot of business there way, however they are not fair with there customers, for instance if you get an offer on and you can't get into the app your stuffed, as you don't get The Offer, so for instance if you get 40% off your bill and don't have the app you pay full price not in really, then treat Friday tells you but a meal that's over £20 you get a free pudding , my friend and I ordered this and after ordering was told we could only order one pudding, that's not fair I paid £55 that day and my Friend only purchased the Large Meal to get the free pudding , I'm absolutely disgusted over this I've spent a lot of money in that place over the years ordering tables 3 times a week for 2 and 4 and 6 and even 10 people over numerous years to be treated in this way! Anyway this status is not coming off it's staying on , Goodbye Harvester, Back to my Greeneking pubs , and other good food chains, you've lost a great customer who's brought friends into your restaurant, A Big Thanks to Agnes, Sam and the rest of the staff take care of yourselves, greeneking look after me I get 15 to 20% off all food n drinks so back there your loss Goodbye Harvester! Mad Maggie!
