Went to Brighton/Eastbourne for the day on scooter.Stopped off at The Horse & Groom, Polegate,on the way home.Beautiful old historical building, will try to find pics I took.Thought it was a bit expensive,just over £20,but not when I realised what I got.I had a large burger with chips 2 visits to the salad bar,was unlimited.Diet coke, unlimited filling ups,I had 2 n a half pints😂Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream,I was stuffed.They gave me my cake in a nice takeaway box.Gave me my ice-cream,I eat it,was incredible,like Mr.Whippy.Landlord and all the staff were incredibly friendly, including my server,thanks Izy.This was all a few months ago,but I just found a piece of paper that I had asked for,so I could give a review,thanks again 👍

We attended the Carmarthen branch this evening Friday 12th June 2026. Fair play to the staff they were very limited as a member of staff had walked out. I must say between the staff that were there they managed amazingly. Well done one and all. Also got to mention Sian the chef, food was amazing as always. So nice to see her back where she belongs :)

Amazing service in Whitley Cameron our server gave us exceptional service really looked after us made sure we had everything gave us options hundred percent coming back here again fantastic food too.

Excellent lunch before theatre matinee.
We were served by Jai who was very professional but friendly. He really took on board my allergies. I had 3 starters instead of a main meal and each one was delicious. Tempura prawns with a dip, hallumi fries with a sweet chilli dip and cheese empanadas. There is also always a free salad which you select yourself before your meal.
We will go next time we have matinee tickets.

My wife Maggie and myself, were both of the opinion that the staff at Dunfermline couldn't get any better. That was proved to be wrong tonight.
I won't go into full details for personal reasons. The fact of the matter is, Martina and Aga, both went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We couldn't have possibly felt any more at home than we did.
The service, as always was second to none, and the food, from salad bar, to starters, mains and dessert was absolutely delicious.
We are now looking forward to our visit, next week, to celebrate my birthday🤗

We arrived at 'The Bucaneer' in Fareham. booked as a family of 5 for breakfast. . We had an 8 year old child and 1 year old baby in our team.
Even though the restaurant was not busy it was ages before our order was taken.
a) Our (paid for top-up) hot drinks arrived after a long wait and the glass of water ordered did not arrive.
b) We were told that our (2) breakfast orders for scrambled eggs were unavailable as they didn't have any scrambled eggs!
c) One of the scrambled eggs orders was for our one year old. . that order was totally missed off anyway!
d) My 8 year old granddaughter ordered banana and chocolate pancakes. As the server was leaving, we queried why there were no bananas with the meal. we were then told that they did not have any bananas! (never mentioned this at the time of ordering or when delivering it to the table!)
All in all, this was a disastrous visit to somewhere we had been a few times over the years.
Unfortunately the whole bill was paid. . (in error) even though no-one at Harvester offered a reduction in the shambles that was supposedly a meal!
Regardless of the fact that it was for a special family occasion, we will not be returning. .

We visited the Harvester called The Golden Fleece in Brentwood, Essex last night.
The food was amazing, and the service terrific. I had the Ribeye, and my husband had the mixed grill.
Our waitress was called Ellie. She was attentive and friendly without being over bearing. Ellie was obviously very busy with other tables around us, and yet, she still had time to make our time there good.
We really enjoyed our time and our food there and will continue to visit whenever we’re out for food.

i was at the morfa harvester going for food it was a terrible experience and i will most likely not return since the manger was rude and pushy since the drink machine was not working i alerted of the situation since someone i know worked in a restaurant so i understood they needed to refresh there syrup once i told her she represented it would not be run out i calmly pointed that the syrup needed changing she’s filled my drink and rolled her eyes as i worked away this is not professional behaviour and i am absolutely disgusted at my experience today and i asked for a kids menu since i have a smaller appetite she’s then went on to question my age and said i am not entitled to a kids menu but didn’t want to waste money and i larger meal is i want going to eat it i got given my salad bowl and the bar was practically there was no lettuce which i believe is the key to a good salad which was very disappointing our waiter erin was the only good thing about the experience everything else has really disappointed me and i believe this is my last visit to a harvester

The waitress Sam was as always brilliant there was a problem but it did not phase her at all the polegate harvester is well worth a visit

With a birthday coming up and a Harvester birthday celebratory offer on my app, what better than to book a table in Carmarthen for Sunday lunch time while on holiday.
Or so I thought!
Ordered drinks - they arrived in unopened bottles that we found almost impossible to open.
Ordered food - had finished the complimentary salad from the salad bar when a junior member of staff (not our waiter) arrived to say that the chicken skewer I had ordered was not available because the chef had not taken them out of the freezer before leaving the previous evening. Apparently our waiter didn't know they were not available!
Reluctantly chose an alternative, a lamb kofta, only to be advised that this was not available either.
At which point we gave up, expressed our disappointment, left and went elsewhere.
Seems we are not alone in having a bad experience. As at the time of writing, 40% of the reviews on Trustpilot are 1 star.
Won't be rushing back to any Harvester.
You have been warned!

Roz at the Romford Unicorn Harvester is a super star!

Always great service from Roz and food at this Harvester is always reliably good! Keep coming back to feel valued and to get good food. £40 for 2x adults for 2x mains and 1x child, cant go wrong with that.

Waited nearly a hour for breakfast
It was rubbish beans missing poached eggs over cooked butter was just liquid never going there again harvester has gone down hill

Took grandkids and provided a voucher kids eat £1.
At end of meal the waiter scanned voucher before providing bill then when provided bill voucher wasnt applied.
The salad bar not as nice as it used to be; pasta bland.
The order was wrong.
Fish in batter was bland with soggy base.
The kids menu should of included dessert but I was charged.

This is actually my first time ever leaving a review, but I felt disappointed enough that I had to.

We don’t treat ourselves very often and had saved up to do something nice, so it was really frustrating for it to end up being a let-down.

We were first given the lunch menus, which were £16 for 2 courses. That seemed fair and we both already knew what we wanted — fish and dessert. Then when we went to order, we were told lunch had finished and we’d need the dinner menu instead.

What made it frustrating was the exact same fish and dessert we wanted were both still available — but instead of £16 for 2 courses, it suddenly became £21.49 for the exact same thing just because it was only just past lunch. That didn’t feel fair at all.

We both had fish and chips and there was barely any tartare sauce with either meal. The chips also just tasted like ordinary oven chips.

My fish was about half fish and half batter, which wasn’t great. My wife’s was even worse — almost all batter and she only managed one bite of actual fish before giving up. She ended up leaving a huge pile of batter on the plate to make the point that she ordered fish, not batter.

The bread rolls have definitely changed too. They used to be much nicer but now taste cheap, more like mini burger buns than the rolls they used to serve.

The unlimited refill drinks sounded like a decent deal at first, but then we found out it was sugar-free drinks only. My wife can’t stand sugar-free drinks, so she ended up not drinking hers at all and it just felt like a waste of money.

When we were ready for dessert we were waiting a while and couldn’t seem to get anyone’s attention. In the end we stacked our empty plates up to make it obvious we were finished, and someone did finally come over.

To be fair, the desserts were really nice. My wife had the golden syrup sponge and I had the ice cream sundae, and both of those were lovely.

Overall it was disappointing, especially when we’d saved up to enjoy a nice meal out. It’s a shame because we really wanted it to feel like a treat, and sadly it just didn’t turn out that way.

What makes it worse as at the end when paying I mentioned my wife didn't drink anything because it's all sugar free, lady just said ok and still left the bill as it is.

This is by the far the worst eating out experience ever. At the Bells of Ouzley, Old Windsor. Queue to be served was out the door and didn't see anyone at the desk to see people to their table for 10 minutes. Ordered drinks on the app to be delivered to the table and ended up having to go up the bar and ask for the glasses ourselves only to find out that the refillable drinks machine wasn't working...... seriously.Then you have to get back in a long ass line to wait to get to the bar again....to then top that we couldn't even go to the bar for refills due to a CO2 leak and all the draught drinks stopped so they then expected us to pay for bottled drinks 😳 . Salad bar was decimated and not even tomato sauce on the stand. I appreciate it can jave busy times but this was beyond a joke. Unless you enjoy waiting for ages, ignorant staff and you head feeling like it's going to explode then you may want to avoid this one.

To start, dirty bowels and plates cheesy garlic bread that had no cheese, even after being returned for that reason! They didnt remake the dish they just put more cheese on the two slices that already had cheese but ignored the two slices that had none! So overcooked and really dry. Ny main course didnt arrive until my daighter had eaten and was ready to leave. So i left without even eating... never again.

Absolutely pathetic customer service from Harvester Ravenswood.

I placed a Too Good To Go order for 20:00 collection and arrived 4 minutes early, only to have the order cancelled literally ONE MINUTE before collection time while I was already there waiting.

The best part? Staff proudly explained that it was “fine” because the cancellation happened before 20:00. Imagine a business genuinely thinking wasting a customer’s journey, fuel, and time is acceptable because they managed to press a cancel button 60 seconds earlier.

If there was no food available, why wait until the final minute to cancel? Pure incompetence or complete disregard for customers. Either way, embarrassing.

This wasn’t a misunderstanding. This was laziness, poor management, and zero accountability.

A company that respects customers does not leave people travelling to the restaurant just to cancel at the doorstep.

Avoid this branch if you value your time.

Book a table for breakfast got shown to the table then 10 minutes later the lady come over with the menu we ordered drinks 10 minutes later later drink came then waited for the lady to come back to take food order after the long wait she came back took the order and then said she on her own the other lady who supposed to be working has not come in to work as she got a head ache so we waited and waited must of been a good 20 minutes then I see the cook looking for her the I could see the food we ordered just sitting waiting for the lady to bring it to us then she walked up to the food moving to one side and walked of I was time her on my phone 5 minutes later she then walks back up to it only to go again 7 minutes later she gos up to the food and brings it over so my partner said I not eating that Iv just been looking at it sitting up they waiting she said im on my own and its not my thought I said I would like to complain she said again it not me im on my own I ask for a recipe as you can not make a complaint as I was trying to as we sit at the table poor service 😡
