I’m very disappointed with the handling…
I’m very disappointed with the handling of my recent claim with Haven. My vehicle was repaired and ready for collection, but was destroyed in a fire at their approved repairer the next day. Communication was extremely poor, with long gaps where neither Haven nor the repairer updated me. I repeatedly asked for information and evidence but did not receive a single photograph of my destroyed vehicle until more than a month later.
I was also given contradictory information about my settlement and premiums. The first settlement document confirmed that premiums would be waived, but later this was reversed without any clear explanation. This caused confusion and additional stress at a time when I had already lost my car through no fault of my own.
The situation caused significant disruption to my work, transport difficulties and emotional distress. I hope Haven improves transparency and communication for future customers.

Eror mesage and lying.
I recived a call yesterday to tell me that the guy insured with Heaven claim acknowledge his fault for changing lanes without looking and doing so he broke my left miror with his right miror.
Also I have been sent the following mesage .
"We are sorry to learn that you have been involved in an incident, and confirm that our policyholder has accepted liability. We are willing to deal with your whole claim directly and at no cost to you. Utilising our services ensures that you do not have to pay an excess, you will not lose your no-claims bonus and there is no affect to your own policy. I only gave 1 star as it would not let me come to this part without giving any stars. 1 star is too much for this insurance company. They are thieves. Such a terrible company - do not use them for insurance.

Should be shut down now
Should be shut down. Daughter got side slammed by their client 3 years ago (yes 3) accepted fault because it was all on dashcam. After 2 years elapsed they decided they weren't going to pay hire car charges. It finally had to go to Court because Haven never responded, they submitted false/fraudulent evidence regarding text messages they never sent with an unknown persons details inserted hoping no one would notice, which the judge threw out. Even after losing in Court , they refused to pay and now enforcement are having to get the £4k they now owe instead of the £1k they could have paid originally. Absolutely obsurd.

Awful Company
I am with Admiral and someone using Haven/Acorn Insurance rear ended me whilst we were sat in idle traffic. We exchange details and the guy seems friendly. After 6 months of trying to get Haven to pay out for my NFC, they turn around and say that they could not verify something. I ask them what it is so we can work around it and I have been told that they can’t say. I then ask my insurance and they said they did not hear from Haven once in that entire 6 month long process.

Worst Insurance company ever
Worst Insurance company ever, you must avoid like the plague. Absolute cowboys. I only gave 1 star because you can't pick 0 stars but they fail at absolutely everything. Car was stolen they took 6 months asking for information and information to then say oh the claims declined for no real reason. Complained to the ombudsman who agreed with me that they shouldn't have declined it and told Haven to pay the claim. Now 10 months after car was stolen they are still trying to avoid paying. They are not insurance company they are thieves. If you ever try and claim anything on your policy they will do everything possible not to pay out.

I want to share my deeply troubling experience with Doddle Cover, which is not an insurance company but rather a broker that appears to exploit vulnerable customers. My ordeal began when I was searching for car insurance via Compare the Market, and I received a quote that directed me to call Doddle Cover. I mistakenly believed they were an insurance provider.
Without properly shopping around or understanding the full scope of my options, I ended up purchasing a policy through Doddle Cover, which was then underwritten by Haven Insurance and funded by Close Brothers. Haven Insurance refused to offer me cover unless Close Brothers paid my insurance in full — a confusing and unnecessary requirement. Despite the questionable process, I kept the policy for nearly two years, mainly because I needed it for work.
However, during this period, my situation changed dramatically. The company I worked for went into liquidation, leaving me struggling to afford the £198.95 monthly premium. I requested a policy review, but Doddle Cover ultimately refused to help unless I contacted Haven Insurance. When I did, Haven Insurance stated they could not do anything without Doddle Cover’s involvement.
Throughout my time paying for this policy, Doddle Cover offered no genuine assistance or flexibility. When I could no longer afford the payments, I had no choice but to cancel. I found a more affordable policy costing only £79 per month, which provided comprehensive coverage including windscreen, breakdown across Europe.
I have emailed FCA, avoid Haven insurance , Close Brothers and Doddle Cover.

Similar to previous reviews, this company is a disaster and should be avoid at all cost. The cancelled my dads insurance after demanding an almost impossible list of documents as "additional information, to make sure we provide the right cover for you". This is a common tactic now being used by these companies designed to catch you out. Dad is in his 60s self employed.
