Spent over £1200 on a kampa air touring TC awning in 2023 and we have used it about 4 times, it is now fit for the bin. Zips broken, stitching missing in several places from new, frayed seams all over... Mehr ansehen

Shocking quality
Kampa Trip pole drive awning- the one star because you can’t put zero. Was just what we were looking for but shockingly bad quality. First one leaked. Was replaced and then the replacement had broken poles and also leaked, in more places than the first. So many areas where seams were badly cut and the zips were flimsy. Not fit for purpose. Not a brand I will ever buy again.
Bought a club air pro 260s in January…
Bought a club air pro 260s in January 2023,evertime it rains it pours in from every were talked to suppler they told us all new awnings leak until they have been weathered,it still leaked after ,so to reseal using fabsil gold, which we have done 3 times now and still it is pouring in,have to empty the awning when ever rain is forecast, and all domestic says is there is nothing wrong after paying £1245,I feel they have robbed me,and seem very happy to have done so,
SO MY ADVISE TO ANYONE THINKING OF BUY AWNINGS FROM THEN SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY

KAMPA is NOW DOMETIC......
Bought a Dometic Club Air 390s All Season Air Awning. March 2022. June 2022 notified Dometic of blue drop type marks on the windows. filled in form sent photos of these marks. NO REPLY.... We first erected the awning March 2022 till November 2022. So Forgot abot the blue marks. Folded up and stored in our living room in home till required again march 2023, erected still showing these slightly translucent marks, tried again cleaning with plain water and a soft sponge, to no avail, marks remained. Anyway come April these marks then became sticky rough to touch, and cloudy to look through, Windows should be clear!. Not in tree line so not tree sap, not in direct sunlight, because facing North by North East, so not sun scorched. May 2023 the 2 windows on the left became fully cloudy ( so we have a privacy coverage now.) end of May the front 2 windows started to cloud over. June came and a memory came up on my phone to say remember these photo's. Yep the bluey windows. So tried again contacting Dometic Customer Services via Email, NO REPLY. as a thought i contacted the retailer, who has been exceptionally helpful. They asked me to forward to them the mails i had sent to dometic and they then mailed it off to their contact at Dometic. Anyway this has been on going backwards and forwards, Dometic say 12 months guarantee, I replied with it is an ALL SEASON should be better than this. They wanted receipt. Spent an hour and half in the bank where we are ALL SEASON, they can only go back 12 months unless do on-line banking. Error we are over 70years old and dont trust that. So maybe we need to do a round trip of 500 miles to get receipt. Still not satisfactory out of warranty. Section 75 on credit card doesnt help at all. MORAL IS DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A DOMETC AWNING. RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE, ABOMBNABLE PRODUCTS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
Avoid wasting your money buying kampa Dometic awnings
Bought a new rally pro poled awning 2 years ago and it’s done nothing but leak. Been back to kampa/dometic twice for water testing; been back to retailer for water testing and re proofing. Both reported it doesn’t leak after testing and it also STILL leaks after reproofing. Neither will give a refund or replacement as apparently there’s nothing wrong with the awning!! Really?? Sorry but it’s not fit for purpose & this company should not be allowed to continue trading or selling shoddy goods. I would avoid anyone to avoid buying an awning from this company & if you have and your experience is the same as mine then join the Facebook group ‘my kampa awning leaks’ where you can read & share other peoples similar experiences. Good luck with your purchase - you’re probably going to need it!
Dometic club air pro 260s
We purchased a domestic club air pro 260s ,its only 9 month old, used 4 times, first time in summer no problem, then the next 3 timed a disaster, after rain it looked worse inside with water from roof,we bought a roof liner to help with water from roof, its ok if it rains just for a couple of hour, after that your liner gets soaked then lets water in the awning, paid £1000 for a awning i have to scrap, would never buy from this company again, my advice is to keep clear from this company.
Very overpriced for the quality
Very overpriced, badly venting. After a the night it looks like it has been raining in the tent..
It's a Kampa Ace 400 awning. After using 6 summers for 3 weeks a tube bursted. OK, things happen. But there are NO SPARE parts to buy, our store is at it for 4 months now. First and last Kampa/Dometic product..
Kampa motorhome cover falling apart
Our Kampa motorhome cover has literally disintegrated within 6 months! it’s clearly not fit for purpose so we sent pictures to Kampa as proof but there not interested at all, there customer services have to be the worst I’ve ever dealt with. There products are absolute junk. I will never buy another Kampa product especially as our new awning (used twice) doesn’t seem to be holding up to well around the stitching. Please be aware and buy from a decent manufacturer not Kampa you will just be throwing your money away like we unfortunately have!!
Kampa Sprint Air
We have had a Kampa Sprint Air awning on order since April, after 6 months of waiting and poor response to multiple emails, we are cancelling our order today, and wish we had read some of these reviews first. Our local supplier has had no support from Kampa.
Kampa Awnings -Overpriced and substandard
we bought a kampa 400 ace air awning in 2018 but due to COVID we have hardly used it. In total we have used this awning 8 times (being inflated between 7 to 14 days at a time). When we put it up this year, on the second day of our holiday one of the tubes burst and ripped a hole in the roof which has caused considerable damage. We therefore had to buy another awning while we were there, yes, we stupidly bought another Kampa, this time a 390 at a cost of £1149.00 which leaked and in addition had terrible condensation inside making everything wet, when we complained they said all awnings leak to start with and condensation is normal!! We have had quite a few awnings over more than 30 years and none have ever leaked when first used and none have had the copious amounts of condensation that this Kampa 390 has inside. Would I but another Kampa awning? NO! NO! Never, overpriced and substandard! Kampa are not interested at all
Hele slechte campingstoelen van Kampa
Hele slechte campingstoelen van Kampa, stuk na 2 weken regulier gebruik.
Voor service werden wij verwezen naar de winkel, ook toen we aangaven dat deze aan de andere kant van het land was. Hele slechte service!!
Our Kampa Rally Air 260 after being up…
Our Kampa Rally Air 260 after being up for 8 weeks has gone from black to a variety of shades of grey. It’s gone from looking great to looking like a ten year old awning in one season.
Caravan cover disintegrating.
Bought a caravan cover from Kampa. First cover tore by fixing cords within months and got replacement cover. Second cover on caravan for just over two years without removing. It now has holes in many places (15+) on roof area. It has just disintegrated with the material coming away in my hand when touched. Kampa customer services not interested, it seems they expect their products to fail like this just outside of guarantee period.
Spend your money elsewhere.
Hi not happy
Hi, bought a Kampa crossair awning less than a year ago and have used it 3 times. We live in Scotland and that is where we generally use it. Camped most recently in Glenbrittle on Ske in reasonable conditions but the wind rose to "moderate" ie 15-20 or so mph on last day. Our awning ripped overnight along the connection tunnel both horizontally along the connection and a deeper slit from there vertically into the tunnel. No other neighbouring tentage was damaged by the conditions. We got in touch with the retailer who referred pour complaint to Kampa 6 weeks ago and we have heard nothing since then. We are frustrated as we use our awning at least monthly in the summer months. We are not happy with the performance of the product nor with the response so far.
Kampa Rally Air 390 Plus! Absolute waste of money!
Kampa Rally Air 390 Plus.
I bought the model named above brand new 4 years ago for £1256. I couldn’t use it for the last two years due to covid.
What a complete waste of money. Initially it was a lovely deep black in colour with a grey contrast. It has faded beyond belief. It looks so scruffy and as if it’s forty years old not four. I am ashamed to have it attached to my touring caravan. Tomorrow when we are packing up to return home from our holiday it is going to the local dump. When we arrive home we will be buying a Bradcot Classic. The same model as our previous awning that looked as good after 9 years of use as it did the day we bought it. We only changed it as we thought the Kampa Rally Air would be very easy to erect. What an expensive mistake after just two summers of use.

Their awnings look great..but
Their awnings look great, however, they invariably leak when it rains and the company couldn't care less as by the time they've argued and said its condensation, or eventually 'tested' it and said its fine, then you'll be out of warranty and the problem is yours. Do yourself a favour and buy a better brand
Don't be a Sucker!!!
I recently purchased a Kampa Driveaway Kador kit to enable me to detach my Vango Awning from the roof of my VW campervan. Date of purchase, 20/01/21, cost price £30.38. The kit comprised three lengths of figure of eight cross section joining bar, A fabric strip with a Kador bead on one edge and hole pentrations down the other edge to take "Limpet" suckers, to hold down to my van roof.
The kit worked okay on two trips when the weather was okay with a mild breeze. However, on my third trip to the Welsh coast at Fairbourne, it rained blew moderately hard one night and four out of the six limpet fixings failed, breaking apart.
This meant getting out in the dark and wet and effecting a makeshift repair with bungie cords tied to the roof bar straps on my awning.
In my opinion, these Limpet fixings are NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE and should be avoided at all costs.
sadly i bought a second hand Kampa
sadly i bought a second hand Kampa, only 3 years old Air awning. Trying to inflate the tent, both valves cracked, its an idiotic system where you have press a cone shaped pump into a hard plastic valve, it ,of course, cracked. Well i guess it gives Kampa some extra sales in valves, clever guys.
Don't touch Kampa Awnings
I paid nearly £1,000 for a Kampa 390 Rally Air Pro, it leaked and didn't fit properly, I sent it back at a cost of £60, they resealed it and said there was nothing wrong with the fitting, when I got it back, it still leaked and stil didn't fit properly, when I said it still wasn't right, they said send it back again at my cost. Kampa hide behind their distributors and say it is condensation. I resealed it myself with Febseal, put on with a radiator roller, that sorted the leaks out and now pack out the main supports. Whilst it looks the part, DON'T Touch Kampa with a Barge Pole.

I purchased a kampa 260 air awning a few years ago,and noticed spots of water dropping from the seams I reported this at time but was fobbed off about it been condensation, which was rubbish.
Kampa send me some seam sealer, but made little different.
I would advise not to buy this product
