We purchased a Kampa air awning in May 2018
We purchased a Kampa air awning in May 2018 , after 7/8 weeks use last year and after putting it up again in June this year it exploded .
The retailers EBOR leisure have been less than helpful .
Kampa say it cannot be repaired and the damage is due to UV degradation and it is out of warranty.
Kampa will not reply to our emails .
Kampa Ace Air 400
This review is based on the Kampa air awnings only. I purchased a 2017 Ace air 400 around the beginning of May 2018. It got used at the end of May and when we encountered the first bit of rain there were leaks mainly on the seams but also in a few other places. We put it down to condensation but were unfortunately wrong.
After the first outing family circumstances meant the awning was hardly used until out of warranty. Now having used it a number of times I find I have never had dry furniture after rain. I can confidently say the awning is horrendous and has more leaks than a colander.
It is possible that people have no issues with Kampa awnings but unfortunately I find myself having to reproof an awning that has leaked from the first day it was used.
They are good looking awnings but shop around before considering a Kampa because you never know what you will get.
Leaks Leaks Leaks !!!!!!!!!!!
Using our Kampa air awning for the second time , easy to put up , great in strong wind , but leaks from multiple places , wish I’d never bothered , trying to bale out your grandchildren’s beds at 2.30 am is not my idea of a good time
Very poor ...
shame I can’t add a video on here to show the extent of the leaks ...
My advice would be , don’t bother , go for another make 🥵🥵
Great customer care
Thanks to Neil in customer services who was very helpful in resolving an issue regarding our kampa pump. If you treat all your customers like that,
You deserve to be the leading camping equipment provider.
Many thanks.

Kampa Rally Pro Plus
I bought the Kampa Rally Pro Plus in 2017 for well over a £1000. Last year i had to get in contact with Kampa as stitching had come away from a seam (Which at first Kampa refused to fix) and now today I have turned up for my 2 weeks holiday to find that one of the main air beams is bulging making the awning unusable leaving a family member having to find another place to stay the night, As they were planning to stay in the awning. We immediately contacted Kampa by phone to be told that someone would call us back before they finished for the day (Still waiting at 21.00). As someone who buys a lot of Kampa equipment Chairs etc, I am very disappointed both in the quality of this product and the response we have had from Kampa.
Kampa I would expect a product that costs well over a £1000 pounds to last longer than 2 years.

We purchased a Rallye Air 390 in 2016…
We purchased a Rallye Air 390 in 2016 and have had no problem with it until this year whilst in the New Forest when one of the main air poles exploded, this does seem to be a problem with the Kampa Awnings. However I emailed Kampa immediately and called them when I got home, the customer service rep I spoke to on the phone insisted that I had to pay for new bladder and outer case. These were delivered and I fitted them into the awning. I wrote a complaint to Neil Yelland Customer Service Manager, who called me and apologised for the inconvenience and said that I should not have been charged for the replacements. He immediately refunded my money to me the same day. That really is good Customer Service and put my faith back into Kampa.. I think the inclusion of a pressure release valve would over come this problem
Manufacturing fault.....fix it yourself
We bought a brand new Kampa Air Ace 400 in February and noticed at the weekend that one of the main chambers had twisted where it met the floor and the side of the caravan. When I checked, by unzipping the outer cover I discovered the bladder protruding through the inner jacket which had a zip completely unfastened from top to bottom. When I checked the zip there wasn't anything to pull it closed, and no sign of anything inside the jacket, so it had been manufactured like that, with obviously no quality control at Kampa to have picked this manufacturing fault up.
The retailer, Wandahome at Knottingley, have been useless and Kampa's response has been to send me replacement parts and an instruction manual and expect me to fix things myself. We're supposed to be setting off on holiday in a week and need the awning for a bedroom. If I'd bought a tv with a fault I can't imagine being sent parts and a manual. Kampa have photographs of the fault and I'd expect them or the retailer to replace the defective awning but no chance.

Contacted Kampa customer service
Contacted Kampa customer service by email and got a reply the next day. I gave my PayPal details and the following day PayPal messaged me with the payment request.
So far brilliant service (10/10)
Will add further comments when my order arrives.
Follow up:
My order arrived on 22nd, only 3 days after my order. Brilliant service.
Have also had 2 Kampa awnings and both have been great, especially the latest one which is an air type with the bow shaped front. Easy to erect and lovely and roomy inside. Can't recommend it enough (if only the air pump hose supplied was a bit more robust!). I'd buy another one.
Purchased Kampa Ace400 from local…
Purchased Kampa Ace400 from local distributor October 2017 (second hand) but in good used condition. Came complete with Breeze Air Pump. No problems until this week in Cornwall. Inflated as previus using hand pump and finished off with pump to 10psi. Ok for 24hrs but on our return found awning deflated and RH Air tube had exploded. Sent photo to Kampa and they did reply 48 hrs later stating that they recommend inflating to only 9psi but also reducing pressure in warmer temperatures (temp June in Cornwall 12 to 18deg) All the info given by Kampa is contrary to their user guide. Not impressed with Kampa customer service or quality with awning only giving around 6 years life. Think before buying Kampa Air not what you expect from so called market leader
Kampa Ace Air pro 400
We bought a Kampa Ace Air pro 400 at the NEC.
The first holiday we used the awning the electric pump failed to work. We returned the pump to the dealer who replaced it with a Gale, which worked fine.
Our initial impressions were very good. However, at the end of our 3rd holiday the airframe failed catastrophically. Not just a puncture, but one of the longer vertical tubes literally exploded! The inner tube, inner tube case and the outer canvas were torn apart. (I have pictures).
Talking to others on the campsite ours was the second such failure within a few weeks.
Nice idea, poorly executed. £1k worth of doggy do. Don’t buy one.
I purchased a Kampa awning approx one…
I purchased a Kampa awning approx one year ago, the manual pump was used approx 6 times & the connectors when pumping just blow off, the awning itself is so heavy its a mammoth task to erect, they don't tell you that when you purchase your £1000 pounds worth, then when you contact them with problems it's contact your supplier!!, TOSSERS!!, contact the supplier, ROBINSONS CARAVANS say contact KAMPA, waste of time!!, then the so called STORM POLES!!, I've used them on the few times I've used the awning, never in a storm, & they are just rubbish, I've got a stronger washing line prop from Wilko at £3.00!!, bought a fantastic KAMPA electric Air pump!!, it's junk!!, I'm now going tomorrow to purchase a new one!!, £50!! again, the new fantastic KAMPA GALE pump!!, how many times will that last!!,
Kampa is expensive junk, with no back up!!
I would never buy another Kampa awning
I would never buy another Kampa awning . On the first use the pump broke and 2 valves split. I emailed Kampa on numerous occasions but never got a reply. The shop where I actually purchased the awning had closed so I was unable to do anything about it. Then, after the awning had been up for 6 weeks, we noticed mould growing on the roof. This had also happened to 3 other Kampa awnings on our campsite . The owners had been told it was their fault for not airing their awning properly. What a load of rubbish- this was meant to be an all season awning . There must be a fault in the material because it has happened to lots of people. We had our last awning for 10 years and never experienced this problem. We could still get no reply from the company. I am shocked by how bad this product is and how bad their customer service is. The awning is now rotten. What a complete waste of money.
Kampa Air awning leaking........
Kampa Air awning leaking all over the place after only 1 year of use. Every time it rains the inside forms droplets which continuously drip and soak everything on the inside. Spoke to Kampa and they said is was out of warranty so nothing they could do but advised it was definitely condensation (load of tripe!!). They even send you an email to explain in what circumstances you get condensation which is just a distraction from the fact they produce a rubbish product that is not fit for purpose. Strangely you can get some spray on their website to seal your awning which says it all!!! I would suggest trying any other brand of air awning before using Kampa - keep well away.
Kampa going the extra mile in customer satisfaction
I purchased a kampa Breeze air pump in 2018 unfortunately the pump failed in April this year
As the company I purchased from was no longer in business and I had no receipt I decided to speak to Kampa direct to see if they could assist.
The customer services team were great and agreed if I returned to them if faulty they would replace. This I did and a week later I received a replacement pump the latest version Kampa Gale which is great!
I believe Kampa didn’t need to do what they did
I had no proof of purchase but they acted out of goodwill
I will continue to endorse Kampa products and wouldn’t think twice about recommending they’re products to anybody
Well done Kampa!!

I have had two reasons to contact kampa…
I have had two reasons to contact kampa customers service centre on 13/3/2019 ref; Kampa awning puller I required two locking pins smaller than the ones with it, 3 days later they arrived free of charge, also on the 20/3/2019 my center sleeve on my 390 air plus burst,3 days later new ones arrived, free of charge to my dealer, the service has been outstanding from Kampa. if the staff are spoken to with respect they will go that little more to assist the customer, this review off me is my own account of there service and help.
Bought a Kampa drive away travel pod…
Bought a Kampa drive away travel pod air touring XL last week, thought I'd try it before we go away. It went up quickly, then tried to throw the rope for the tunnel over the van to peg them down, the ropes are 5 feet too short, rang Kampa to see if they could send longer ropes, the manager said they knew about the fault and was told to go back to the dealer (its not their fault) so am now waiting for the ropes I've ordered off eBay that don't match, as Kampa wont send any out. What a poor response from Kampa,I only wanted two longer ropes, can't use the Velcro as there is no rail above the van and didn't want to connect with the beading, awning is unusable until new ropes arrive. Very disappointed in Kampa
Kampa air 400 all season waste of money stay away from this product and company
We to purchased a Kampa air 400 all season and have water leak problem so bad we could not use it this was sent back to Kampa who tested it and say it's condensation ,also there is so much mould on roof, we have the separate roof liner ,must be design fault,I'm taking it to trading standards Kampa after sales is an absolute waste of time stay away would have been minus 5 star if i could have
Kampa Motor Air Rally Pro 330 driveaway bladder bursting
Anyone had any problems with a Kampa Motor Air Rally Pro 330 driveaway with the bladder bursting?? I have - currently in Portugal and first the right hand AirPole blew (sounded like an explosion) as the inner protective sleeve had split and the bladder escaped. Kampa sent me out a replacement bladder and inner protective sleeve but before it arrived the middle AirPole started to bulge so I had to deflate that and take down the awning before it burst. Currently waiting for the replacement parts. Most frustrating particularly as it is taking over week for the second set of parts to arrive.
I have a Kampa Air awning with mould…...
I have a Kampa Air awning with mould over roof after 1 month use unable to get it cleaned unable to get Glossop Caravans to help and Kampa not interested this is £1400 wasted. Please is there anyone else experiencing this service and poor product. This need resolving I note there are a number of people experiencing the same level of poor service and product. Help!!!
This is the new 2018 model supposed to be breathable fabric?
I have already been asked some questions 1 in particular do I use the Kampa roof liner?
I do yes the whole time the awning was up, I'm now learning this could be the problem a design fault between the roof lining and awing?
This is beyond me all I know is I've got mould on the awning roof.
Glossop Caravans/awnings no help or customer service.
