I had a similar experience as previous reviewer but we had even worse communication/solutions. Dear past reviewer, please elaborate more your review. I contacted Keteka over 8 months prior to the trip because I wanted make sure our anniversary trip will be successful. We had major communication issues with Keteka, and our trip requirements were pretty clear (upgraded tents and lodges, etc) - $2,300 each person. In the last moment Keteka transferred our trip to the local tour provided by called "Dittmar Adventures". This company was not responsive until our arrival in Chile, and said we cannot deliver any upgrades you paid for. Kyle, Julia, Erin from Keteka were useless, and Dittmar crue was acting fishy since we arrived at their facility. I expressed my high dissatisfaction about not getting anything for $2,300 except their crappy tents. Mr Jack from Keteka, Erin from Dittmar told me "we can get You everything you asked for additional $1,000" (extortion practices you say?). We left with our reserved tickets and never look back, re-organized the trip ourselves afterwards. Our relationship survived but Keteka and Dittmar Adventures companies should be close for business soon due to those fishy business practices. Yes, I had pictures of leaking tents too, so Mr Jack what you gonna say about that? At the end of the trip, I asked politely Kyle (Keteka) that to consider to give us partial refund due to negligence, disorganization and troubles their services caused us. I have never heard back from anyone since then...

What a great way to spend a layover in Panama! Miguel picked us up from the airport and gave us a perfect experience-summary of the city. We saw Casco Viejo and the Canal and got very lucky because we saw a boat go through. I didn't have expectations about this but it was very interesting and even more with all the history around it that Miguel shared with us. After some delicious local food he dropped us off on time at the airport. I am so glad we did this instead of spending 6 hours at the airport!

Extremely poorly organized. Kateka notified us the day before we were set to go on a guided tour through the Amazon that the guide had pulled out. Kateka was unable to provide an alternative guide and we were stuck in an isolated Amazon town without a guide and no flight out for 2 days. Extremely unhappy and would NOT recommend.

I Had a great tour to Uyuni with Keteka! The landscapes were truly breathtaking, didn't expect Bolivia to have such beauty! The sites on the way to the Salar were absolutely stunning. The driver/guide was super professional and nice. Hostels on this tour were totally convenient, with everything needed. Would definitely recommend travelling with Keteka to anyone planning to visit South America!

We booked tours to El Tatio Geyser and Moon Valley with Keteka in San Pedro de Atacama. We ended up paying double the amount other local agencies were charging, so I would recommend not booking in advance. I was promised 2 confirmation emails 24 hours post booking, but I did not receive them and had to contact them twice the night before the tour. It turned out that we were actually outsourced twice to other local companies which explains the price hike. There really is not difference in terms of experience had we gone with a local tour. When we did the Moon Valley tour, we did not even visit the Death Valley, Cañon de Sal and Duna Mayor which was promised on their itinerary, which I guess was because the company they outsourced to had a different itinerary. They also promised smaller tour groups but as far as we could see the sizes of all other tours were the same.

Having said that, we did enjoy our tour to El Tatio with Inti Para and to Moon Valley with Hari tour agency. I would recommend going directly to them in Atacama.

Usually not one to join a tour or write a review so this is a first. We did the 4 Day 3 night Roundtrip Uyuni Salt Flat Tour from Atacama and can't even being to explain how amazing the trip was from the moment we reached out to Keteka! This was setup incredibly last minute, on a Sunday the day before Departure! Kyle (the CEO) and Karina reached out to us immediately and began doing everything possible to make this trip happen. From the very start we knew we were in good hands and ended up having the experience of a lifetime. The Team at Keteka was not only able to get us on a trip, but set us up with the best Tour Guide, Car, and Driver (Harry and Delfino)! Everything from the Hostels to the Food and care taken by every person involved in this trip was perfect! There is literally nothing that could've been done to make it go any better! We will definitely be using Keteka in the future and will be recommending this company to anyone and everyone. Thanks a million to the Keteka team!

Keteka helped make our trip to Patagonia one of the best adventures of our lives! The environment is stunning with so much to do and see, but the logistics can be a little daunting being a foreigner with limited Spanish. Keteka helped us feel totally in control and well prepared to navigate every step of our journey. The tours we booked with them were by far the most epic and memorable moments of our trip, from drinking water from a glacier to watching avalanches atop a mountain. But what made Keteka really stand out from other services we've used was the great advice they offered for getting around the country and fun activities completely separate from their tours. Booking through Keteka felt like having a local friend to help you explore new and wonderful country void of the scary risks. They were very communicative and happy to review our entire itinerary from start to finish to help refine details based on expert experience. I would highly Keteka to anyone looking for a fully immersive travel experience with a guide they can trust.

What. An. Amazing. Trip! Really appreciate all of the work that went into making this trip run smoothly and how everything was organized and efficient from the moment we arrived in Puerto Natales. We (my roommate and I) booked this trip hoping for a great experience, and it definitely delivered.

We were met at the beautiful hostel in PN by wonderful staff members who had our room ready and offered great advice on things to do that night. The next day, we met up with Laura, owner of the tour company, at their office and were provided with all of the passes, maps, information and tips you could ever need for the O-Circuit hike. We met our guide, Carlos, who has over 9 years of experience hiking in Patagonia. He answered all of our questions and made us feel ready for the trip. The next day, we took the bus to the park entrance and then the ferry to the first campsite. The hike is BREATHTAKING, and worth every blister, ache or sore you might experience during the hike.

I would definitely recommend the O-Circuit, as it gives you the full experience of how large Patagonia is. It was a perfect mix of hiking on our own for the first 4 days at our own pace, and then having the guide to lead us on the north side of the circuit, which is definitely not as well marked and has harsher climates and hikes. During the whole trip, all of our lodging, entrance fees, campsite fees and logistics were handled and delivered smoothly. All we had to do was hike our gear from one site to the next, show our passes and passports, and drink some delicious Austral.

This was a trip of a lifetime, and definitely worth it to have all of the logistics, including all of your food on the hike, already taken care of and planned out for you. We’re very thankful to Keteka for helping organize all of this, and would recommend this trip to anyone!

I went on the horseback riding and sandboarding trip in the Atacama desert and it was truly a unique and memorable experience. Our guide for the horseback ride was a horse whisperer... so incredibly professional and knew his horses so well. Impossible not to feel safe with him. That being said, it wasn’t a slow, boring ride. He was happy to let us race and gallop when we wanted to! And the scenery was out of this world, you really feel like you’re on another planet.

The sandboarding was also so fun. First of all, the dunes are strikingly picturesque. There’s no lift or stairway to the top, so you have to be prepared to walk up before every run. That didn’t bother me at all though, the sandboarding portion was so enjoyable that I was happy to keep walking up. And it was nice that the dunes were in their natural state. You can go pretty fast if you want to, but it’s also easy to go slow if you’re nervous. A few members of our group sat at the base of the dune and had fun watching the rest of us make fools of ourselves in the sand. I would definitely do this trip again!

You will be covered in sand and dirt at the end of the day, and it will have been completely worth it.

Keteka is awesome! It enables you to find out all the cool things you can do somewhere and book ahead so you can make the most of your time. If I hadn't booked our glacier tour, it would have been full, and I wouldn't have had that life-changing experience.

This is definitely one for your bucket list! And booking with Keteka was awesome and easy. The views from the viewing deck, boat, and ON the glacier were all stunning and will take your breath away. Well worth the cost! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, and had an amazing experience with wonderful tour guides who spoke both English and Spanish. Be sure to bring cash for the national park fee and gloves from the glacier trek!

I booked a tour to the Perito Moreno glacier with Keteka, and it was a great experience. Seamless transfers, helpful staff, and the tour itself was fantastic. Keteka was easy to work with and attentive. I hope I get to book with them again soon!

Great fun and very educational! A little chilly if you’re not dressed properly, but fortunately, the tour includes hot chocolate and blankets. In addition to seeing lots of stars and an impressive half moon up close through the HUGE telescope, we also saw three satellites and a number of shooting stars. I was completely surprised by how big the telescope is – it’s about six or seven feet long, and probably 20 inches in diameter. It’s anchored to the viewing deck and is easily the biggest telescope I’ve ever looked through. The guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and easily answered all of our many questions about astronomy etc. I highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely unbelievable! The incredible vistas coupled with our amazing guide made this day truly unforgettable. Unfortunately, I didn’t have sunglasses before the trek, but our guide was nice enough to let me borrow a pair free of charge!

Did a mountain trip near Santiago. What a memory.... The guide spoke English very well and show me and my brother so many things, up to the point of even becoming Condors experts for a time!
Trekking, hot baths, glacier and many others things, the day went perfect from pick up at our place until return. Very good job

We have been using Keteka's access to fun, adventure, and educational outings since 2015. We've toured organic chocolate farms in Panama, run white water rivers and hiked through Patagonia and the Andes, kayaked the Strait of Magellan, and were wowed by the Moai statues of Rapa Nui.

Team Keteka helped set us up with great guides, transportation, and accommodations. And while I would LOVE to tell you that everything came off without a hitch, EVERY time, that would not be true. For people that travel, that love to travel to more remote or off the beaten path places, we learn to take the occasional hiccup in logistics, with a certain acceptance and acknowledgement of the frustration that can go along with it. Normally when self guided, you are doing this without any support or resources, other than your own. Aside from from the great upfront help and guidance setting these adventures up, Keteka's team saved our bacon a couple of times, got us back on track. Even when the airlines bumped our flights, lost our luggage, stranded us in the middle of the night, literally after midnight, they were on call and available with emergency contacts, got us transportation, got us a hotel room, and got our train re-railed the very next day. Whew.

We are VERY experienced travelers, used to arranging and salvaging our journeys on our own. It's been nice to have somebody else vet some of these adventures, guides, accommodations, and be there when things go sideways. And if you are an inexperienced traveler, Keteka is a sure bet to introduce you to the world of adventure travel.
I highly recommend their services; all done in a cheerful, encouraging, and professional manner.

I booked the Trek to El Morado Glacier through Keteka. The trek itself was amazing (challenging and fun). Our guides were fantastic (super friendly and knowledgeable). One of our members brought a drone and some camera gear in a suitcase. One of the guides, Elvis, was nice enough to strap the gear on his back and carry it up with us (Elvis - you are an absolute legend!). The views were spectacular. I don't think my description will do it justice, so you'll just have to go see it for yourself!

I never would've booked this trek without Keteka. Super easy to use and great service. Highly recommend - can't wait to use them again in the future!

I loved this tour! I had never been sandboarding or snowboarding before, but that was not a problem at all! Our guide gave great instruction and by the end we were boarding like naturals! Would for sure recommend. Incredible customer service! Great local guides. Overall fantastic experience.

I had an amazing experience horseback riding in Farellones with a Chilean cowboy (arriero)! A guide picked me up from my house in the morning and took me to the ranch, where we met the arriero for a beautiful ride in the mountains. We passed through streams and rode along trails overlooking gorgeous valleys, followed the whole time by friendly dogs and, at times, cows. The guide was able to translate my questions for the arriero so I could learn more about his life. The ride was challenging, but suitable for a beginner. The whole tour was very flexible and customizable my interests and needs. I had trekked in the Andes outside Santiago before, and this was by far by favorite way to experience the beautiful mountains. It was one of the most unique and memorable experiences I had while traveling Chile for two months. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the Andes and meet a local cowboy who has lived there his whole life!

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The accommodation was not as bad as everyone made out single beds 3 or 6 in a room and while the facilities were limited you had paid hot water showers at both sites we slept at.

Nonetheless the trip did feel a little rushed and as our spanish was lacking so too was the information however the beauty was often speechless so that wasn’t too much of an issue :)
