i am writing as a long standing customer - we had two blinds installed over 5 years ago - and while one has been fine the other one has never worked properly

First it was delivered too large and because of covid took a year to replace
Since then the replacement has never worked properly with it failing to extend out most of the time. I have made countless calls and emails to the office and have been fobbed off all the time. Our installer has been over many times trying to fix it - but has eventually given up. A year ago we were told we needed a new part from Germany - we have had no joy in getting this sorted and suffered as a consequence over this hot summer of 2026. We had Aaron round to measure up and advise on our awning, he was very knowledgeable and able to give us some great ideas, no hard pressure sale which we liked, and Angie from customer service head office was excellent with follow up call, very happy

Although I didn’t make a purchase (only because these structures are more permanent than I was looking for) this company sent a brochure very promptly and followed up with a very polite phone call. Wouldn’t hesitate to use this company in the future. Nice people to deal with.

LANAI OUTDOOR TEAM especially Peter the owner , Josh their outstanding senior installer backed up by Angie Admin mgt and Kyle overseeing organisation of contracted installations have, despite recent international supply difficulties beyond the company’s control but well managed ensuring minimum impact on completion ; have very competently surveyed, designed, ordered , supplied to site and excellently installed the German manufactured WEINOR GLASS ROOM pending it’s producer’s final minor fit due to be completed mid Sept 2026, all within the agreed budget including additional minor sub contractors costs precisely as per the seller and buyer’s contract. Our experience overall is that LANAI have cost effectively managed our project improving both our living space and day to day life with a glass room terrace now entwining our indoor accommodation with our illuminated garden enjoyable 24/7 during all seasons and weathers.

I invited Lanai Outdoor Commercial to one of the schools I manage for a site survey and to estimate the cost of the major refurbishment of a freestanding, steel-framed playground studio.
The complany representative arrived on time, with all the equipment required to conduct the necessary precise measurements. He was both knowledgeable and professional. I felt confident he knew both the product and what ws required. He left me with some comprehensive brochures showing projects Lanai had carried out. Within two days we had a full quotation which is now in the hands of the school governors. I have recommended they commission the work.

AVOID: Over one year on from depositing over £25,000 with Lanai, no veranda from Lanai, no refund and £25,000 out of pocket.

In May 2025 I met with Lanai's rep and signed a purchase order for a Weinor glass room, paying the requested deposit. We were told by the representative that installation would happen in around 3 months from the date we placed our order, therefore by Sept 2025.
Following the onsite survey on the 5th June 2025 a second deposit was made by me meaning I'd paid Lanai a total of £25,051.80 across the two payments — money they confirmed receiving in writing the same day.

Acting on the explicit instructions of Lanai's own surveyor, in August 2025 I spent significant money and effort preparing my property for the installation: removing my old veranda, cutting away protective house cladding for the new taller unit, laying reinforced decking with extra struts and concrete pads to take the load, and installing new external electrics. All of this was done in good faith, on Lanai's instruction, before the product had even shipped.

When we chased up the expected delivery in mid August 2025 we were told of delay issues. From that point onwards month by month we were fobbed off until I was eventually given a "confirmed" date of 22 January 2026.

Days before that date in Jan 2026, the “confirmed” date was once again cancelled, with a vague apology about "logistical issues out of our hands." When I pushed for specifics, I was told the order had been sent to the manufacturer back in June 2025 and was "in pre-production."

I decided to check that claim myself and contacted the manufacturer, Weinor, directly in Germany. What they told me was very different to what Lanai had been saying:

* Weinor confirmed the order was registered with them in June 2025 but as they had not been given a deposit by Lanai it had not gone into production, despite Lanai repeatedly telling me otherwise.
* Weinor requires up-front payment from Lanai before manufacturing begins. Lanai never paid them anything from our deposit towards our order.

My honest advice: do not place an order with Lanai Outdoor Commercial Ltd. The owner has made no effort to contact me or return my money despite us sending them recorded letters.

From when I enquired, via Angie at Lanai, until I had the quote from Aaron, I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. Aaron understood entirely what I wanted and was able to produce drawings that were perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and I would recommend them strongly in the future.

I first saw the advert for pergola on social media and expressed an interest. I did however decide on a retractable awning so they sent the sales rep. to see me and discuss options. He came with lots of good advice but unfortunately I decided against this option. Back to the drawing board for me.

After my initial request for a brochure, I received one straight away.

I then received a follow up call later to make sure I had received the brochure; there was no hard sell or pressure to buy which was very refreshing.

Excellent professional service from initial contact through to follow up after my awning was installed. Top quality product which has transformed how I use my south facing patio. Awning looks great, is easy to use with the remote control, and the storage cassette is discrete and well fitted. Highly recommend this company.

Clean, tidy and very helpful.

Really great service. Can’t fault them. Had an issue some months after installation, engineer came within a few days and resolved it; can’t be better than that. Aesthetically they have changed the whole vibe of our house and everyone loves the inside outside feel.

Angie is a legend. She looked afer me a few years ago as I had 2 Iris Units installed at the property, that are still working fantastically well for us. Looking toi get an addiitonal one installed this year and again she is seeing what she can do for me. Excellent Service.
