Awful company to work for. No Health & Safety culture and care more about profit than people. Without question, the worst Company I’ve ever worked for. Management are obnoxious and untrained. Staff are made to feel insignificant. I can’t advise strongly enough, don’t work for them.

I believe the views about this company are justified. On the 22nd July 2025, I was practically ran off the road on the M1 between junction 11 & 10 south bound, heading to London. When one of their drivers cut me up, almost causing an accident, in their van reg DG25WFF. When I had a chance, I rang the company on 03300 949321 "How's my driving" to complain about their awful driver. When the person picked the phone up, I explained what had happened earlier, and the person with a strong African accent, said if driver didn't make contact with my car, "what do you want me to do ?". This attitude, left me gobsmacked, which the phone call ended shortly after that. I can only assume, this type of attitude is like a cancer throughout this company, hence the negative reviews.

Very racist organisation, they don’t even hide it, I worked for them for 7 months and I have never hated my employers so much. I will rather be jobless than work for these folks.

Poor customer service from management with jobs getting delayed and no people skills, awful treatment towards shop floor staff. They don’t follow their own policies and procedures as managing staff and employees getting back lash for it with miss information. No professionalism what so ever.

Absolutely disgraceful company based on the interaction I recently had with a member of their staff. Completely incompetent and clearly not trained in the basic requirements of their role. For a security company, where people are trusting them to look after what's most important to them, the lack of attention to detail and nonchalant attitude to their work is utterly deplorable. Furthermore, they clearly get zero training on how to deal with different demographics of the general public. Why anyone would hire them is a complete mystery to me. Reprehensible and possibly even illegal in their approach. Do not touch them for any reason whatsoever.

AWFUL PLACE TO WORK FOR MITIE IS THE IMMIGRATION REMOVAL CENTER. 80% of MANAGERS AND OFFICERS ARE ALL SLEEPING WITH ONE OTHER FOR PROMOTIONS AND TOO MUCH CORRUPTION IN THAT PLACE. PEOPLE GET SUSPENDED AND COME BACK AND GET PROMOTED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU RESPECT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH. IF YOU ARE NOT FRIENDS OR CLOSE TO MANAGEMENT YOU ARE NOT SAFE.

Mitie care and custody are the worse to work for. They are all corrupted in management, they save who needs to be saved and destroy good hardworking peoples lives. Officers turned managers to higher up positions by sleeping around with other management. I resigned from this sh*thole immediately after working there for 9 months and all I saw was corruption and toxicity and racism. Senior duty managers (male n female) sleeping with officers and promoting them to managers. Breaking rules and cutting corners with corruption. Avoid this place, officers and managers are bringing in phones and drugs and they are safe.

Harassment and Abuse of Authority by Mite Security

I was targeted and harassed by a Mite Security guard, Amrit Singh, at the Bentall Centre, Kingston upon Thames. He followed me, made discriminatory comments about my traditional dress, and used his position to intimidate me because I used to work at the venue. He even recorded me on his body camera, cranked up his radio to provoke me, and made threatening remarks.

This is completely unprofessional, unethical, and unacceptable. Customers should feel safe, not bullied and racially profiled by those meant to protect them. Mite Security must take urgent action.

I worked for mitie immigration. Racism from the outset. I received absolutely no support. Some of the people being hired were clearly right wing racists but they still got in. Senior managers would randomly start shouting at staff for no apparent reason but pure ego trip. They got this bs excuse to basically sack you if you been abroad but it's basically if they don't like you for being black or Muslim. Racist company!

Rude helpdesk staff, probably he was still sleeping and he felt disturbed by my enquiry.

Terrible company, god knows how they are getting DWP contracts etc.
Worked as a Tesco security guard and didn't get paid for initial work. Paid later but a month after they said I would, which caused financial hardship. Ignore any contact unless if it's them trying to contact you. Constantly change shifts worked with no notification. I work/worked for 4 companies and these are 100% the worst of the four. I left site at Tesco when they wound me up and took them 3.5 hours before they even noticed. Avoid...

Was subcontractor in a job in Westfield London for shop fit out for Vision Express. One of the security cretins working for Mitie security opened the secured door for me and then he asked me if I have a pass. I wasn't aware I need one but he blame me for the issue and I have my job. Morons work for this company!

Where do I start it's not a good place to work, the manager was using foolish reasons to try push me out and fire me, kept stabbing me in the back and micromanaging me, Craig, the site manager at the airport is such a smart alec micromanager he was creating a paper trail and doing anything in his power to fire me I end up resigning and walking out as it's inevitable my days where numbered because Craig recently took a disliking to me and not sure why, could tell by his attitude, him answering back and giving smart comments, foff!
I worked in Dublin Airport, avoid this company at all costs its a terrible job!

Very disappointing, no process and very corrupt management to protect their self

I had left a very comfortable and decent paying job to join as a prison custody officer (PCO). I was 5 days away from my final exam after doing really well throughout the PCO course.

I get an automatic email from the vetting team siting my vetting had failed and my employment was over. The email didn't give me a reason why about said it was due to GDPR why why couldn't tell me.

This left me unemployed, mortgage not been paid, mental health was all of the place and my partner had been left to take all that financial pressure.

Mitie also didn't pay me what was left of my final pay check and never get back to me when I've left countless emails for this.

A similar story happened to another guy on the course too, but he packed in his small business which had taken him years to build up and a bunch of other people who I'm sure are all in same boat.

The course originally had 28 people enrolled, this had whittled down to around 18 by the time I got the boot.

Shame on you Mitie for throwing away good people like they're trash.

Mitie care and custody is a horrible horrible place to work , everyone is absolutely clueless about what they are supposed to do , the micro aggression you’d experience is enough to make you lose your mind , horrible working environment, would not wish it on anyone
