Horrible product, false advertising. No absorbency, lint all over and does not do the main function - change of the color when needs to be washed. In addition, this towel is 100% Cotton (not Cotton Bamboo) and made in China (technology from Japan).

BUYER BEWARE!!! These towels are soft and nice looking, but are not very absorbent as advertised. I was disappointed considering the price. A regular cotton towel works better. I bought two sets and tried to return one set that were unopened. They DON'T accept returns. I wonder why? If the towels are so great and good, why would they not accept an unopened return in the original packaging? Poor customer service.

Still no towels. Still no refund. I ordered these towels on Oct 1st. Still getting the run around, Reps are not horrible but business practices and procedures are terrible. I just want my refund.

100% scam. STAY FAR AWAY.

I placed an order of the wrong size, tried to cancel immediately afterwards (sent an email requesting cancellation within 2 minutes). Didn't get a reply back until after the order shipped 3 days later. Sorry, NO REFUNDS.

They say they ship from LA, California. Also a lie, tracking information is from Shenzhen Cn.

And yes, obviously not a Japanese product.

Costco and Sams have better towels for a fraction of the cost. Now they are telling me they don’t accept returns after having the towels for a day and only opened one bag to feel it.

this was the most costly mistake i've ever made!! I was supposed to received a set of @ each towel and hand towel.. Needless to say i reached out to the compamy and never received my second set!Order from amazon, at least they have a great return policy!

Way overpriced. Don’t be fooled by sales tactics. After three washes my sheets starting pilling. Don’t waste your time. Then customer service didn’t care. They said I washed them wrong. I washed them exactly as told. Terrible customer services and not worth the money. I got fooled by the towel as well. Worth about $20.

TOTAL SCAM !!! 😡😡😡😡 PLEASE NEVER ORDER FROM THEM if you are not in the US. I ordered from France in December 2020, a set of 2 towels + sheets. The order didn’t show any sign of being sent a few weeks later so I contacted the customer service who told me they were waiting for the sheets (it was a pre-order) to be available before sending the entire order. Finally they agreed on sending the towels first and the sheets later without additional delivery cost. For a 120$ value order (towels only), they declared a value of 259$ at the customs (meaning they counted the total order with the sheets which were not in the parcel and even added the discount value - because my total order was in fact 220$ after discount).
As a result, the custom and tax fee added up to an astronomical amount of 120$ for just half of my order!! Needless to say, I never paid the taxes and refused to pay double the amount for half of my order!!! Of course I tried to contact the customer service which remained stubborn and found it totally normal that the amount of taxes I had to pay was equal to the value of half of my order that was sent to me.
To this day, FedEx is still sending me claims for payment for a parcel that I refused to take. And of course, I never heard back or the preordered sheets more than 6 months later….
To sum up, I paid a total of $220, was asked to pay an additional custom fee of $120 in exchange of half of my order which I refused, never received the sheets either, and never got a refund.

I have been using these towels for over a month. While these are good towels, they are not great towels and in my opinion are over priced. I am sorry I ducked in.

If you are a decent shopper you can find equivalent towels that cost much less. The slick advertising and promotion is very good. But they oversell what it is. It’s a towel. There are high quality towels you can get for less. Buyer beware.

Okay, seriously, I have no idea how this company has so many 5 star reviews. Either they are paying for these high reviews or I received a seriously lousy batch of towels. My wife and I paid $120 for their 2x Smart Towel Set. Not only do these towels not change color (like they are supposed to do to show they are dirty), they also feel horrible. I would rather buy the cheapest towels from K-Mart than use these. If I could give 0-stars, I definitely would. Avoid this scam and save your money.

LOL, whoever said these were "luxury hotel quality" has clearly never been to a luxury hotel? The towels are thin and only "so-so" with softness. BUYER BEWARE: I got this set of 4 towels, and only opened one package of the smaller towel, to be able to feel it.

It was completely unsatisfying, so I thought: "Ok, I am going to return these; I can NOT believe that I paid what I did for these towels, when Parachute towels cost just a smidge more but are about 3x better feeling".

WELL GUESS WHAT? You are not allowed to return, EVEN If unopened, for ANY reason... once you have "received" it. What the heck? DO NOT BUY, or if you're curious, JUST buy ONE towel and then judge for yourself.

I am so glad that I ordered the Mizu towels. They are fantastic. Nice and plush and very absorbent. They are easy to wash and smell great all the time! Love these towels and will be sticking with them from now on.

Wonderful towels! Super soft, highly water absorbent, and the white strip indicator adds to the mental comfort that my towel isn't getting me dirty. The towels look, function, and feel like they will last a VERY long time!

I really love the towels, after trying the first two, bought two more to replace our bath towels. The hand ones are rather small but work well in the kitchen for us. Surprisingly it does what it promises: stays clean for longer, absorbs well and dries quickly. The only downside I’ve noticed that the threads if caught on something rough pull out easily.

Mizu Towels is NOT a Japanese company; their products are entirely Chinese-made. The quality is substandard. Their customer service is also awful. They bombarded me with sales pitches by email and text within minutes of making my purchase. Do not buy.

I decided to wash the towels that I wasted $204.00 on with another $25.00 paid to FedEx for import duties. Following Mizu's suggested care instructions, the results were disgraceful, especially on the charcoal grey color. Besides shedding fiber which I could detect in my washing machine filter the so-called Mizu-Tech strip resulted in the technical term "fly" with the fibers flying off the strip onto the color of the towel. These towels were so thin, to begin with, maybe 300 grams thread count per square meter fingers crossed, that I doubt they have the same count now after 1 wash. I hang dry all my wash being blessed with sun most of the year and don't even own a dryer. Taking these towels out of the washing machine, besides the above issues, they look like they have been in a speed cycle dryer, twisted and wrinkled. Never have I seen a towel look like this after the first wash and if they think I am about to iron towels think again. For Mizu to call these towels"luxury"," hotel quality" or any other advertisement hype words is nonsense. I expect a refund and will gladly return all the washed towels to them at their expense. If not then I plan to file a claim in the California small claims court with a small claims attorney to represent me.

This is a sham. The towels maybe OK for women who want softness but certainly not a man's towel. They skim over water and are ineffective. Be careful and read return policy carefully as towels must be returned in original package or you're screwed. Customer service unresponsive. Company provides automated message and you will wait up to 4 days for any response. The silver stripe is a cleaver gimmick but the towels are awful. Buyer Beware!

Just received the towels. All is absolutely correct about over-pricing and duties to be paid on top.
The towels look ugly, they feel ugly.Maybe they shall be ok in use but I feel being ripped off
