Buyer beware
I ordered my recliner in September. When I ordered it the staff did not inform me that this was a final sale. In fact I did not realize it until I got home. I then waited until January to get the chair. Within the first month the material was pilling and the springs make a sound when closing the foot rest. I contacted the Edmonton store and they told me the material is not covered in the warranty and I am still waiting for a technician to fix the spring. They will not let me return the chair for a refund. So I feel I’m out $2100. I will not recommend this company. They do not stand behind their product at all.
Save your money and buy something else
First couch was found to be defective w/in 1 year. Furniture shop recommended I purchase a higher end fabric, which I had to pay for. Now this replacement couch feels like its 10 years old and its less than 5. No cushion support and looks "frumpy." What a complete waste of money
All the manufacturing went to Mexico…
All the manufacturing went to Mexico along with all the quality control. Now they make absolute garbage. Within months of receiving our recliners we're making warranty claims. Company got greedy. No longer making to Canadian standards. Palliser today is not the quality you remember of 20 years ago - which is what they are still trading on. Not long until the public wakes up and their reputation becomes mud (reading many reviews online it is rapidly getting there!). Very sad how the product has deteriorated, not to mention the number of Canadian jobs lost!!!
Canadian Sales Manager and Shiping Problems
The Canadian Sales Manager misrepresented the actions of Palliser in delivering the furniture we bought, then chose not to respond to emails, and refused to take responsibility for the shipping problem or do anything about it. In fact, Palliser misrepresented to us that they were doing something about the shipping problem, when they did nothing. Palliser should be ashamed of the lack of service and their failure to deal with problems they have control over.
Bought Palliser Redwood power line
Bought Redwood power line. 4 years in and what we were told was leather was not. The covering started peeling, cracking etc. I would not buy Palliser again
Don’t buy Palliser
My power recliner is just over a year old and the buttons no longer work. Now I just have a chair. So much for putting my feet up! For the price I paid, I expected it to last longer than 15 month. I hope that for $40, I can get a replacement part.
Palliser is very poor quality…
Palliser is very poor quality furniture. Purchased a custom leather recliner from Furnitureland South and both arms have puckers and in two days you have butt marks in the seats. Just overpriced junk!!
Palliser is Canadian junk sold at high end prices
Bought our Palliser sectional a little over a year ago. So far we have replaced a power unit, and now two of our three recliners have dropped almost to the floor. Very disappointed in a set that I paid so much money for. If this is supposed Canadian quality I am glad their tariffs are going up. Maybe less Americans will be ripped off by companies such as this.
If I could give this experience and…
If I could give this experience and sofa a zero, I would. Upon delivery Paolo sofa mechanism was faulty, reclining button faulty, material puckered in the back, headrests faulty, won't adjust unless you're seated and not reclined at all. Bought this $10,000 sofa from Diggs and Dwellings. They refuse to refund or offer compensation of any kind, instead want to take the whole sofa and do all these repairs, including getting the puckered material reupholstered. It's three months and we still don't have this dealt with. I would not recommend Diggs and Dwellings or Palliser for anything. No apology, no compensation, zero. Correspondence from Diggs and Dwellings is as if we've done something wrong. Very poor service and customer service.
We have had our couch for 10 months and…
We have had our couch for 10 months and since delivery we have been addressing issues with Palliser. They have dragged their feet for 10 months, refusing to acknowledge that our couch was built defectively. They finally narrowed it down to a part, that was determined to be causing the issues. The repair man sent by Palliser was not an experienced furniture repair man, but rather a surface repairman for countertops, fabric, flooring. He was close and agreed to do the job, because “why not, it’s money”, as he said to me. We now still have the exact same issues, but worsened. I notified Palliser and was contacted by email today. They stated that their only obligation is to repair, which they did. The (unqualified) repairman told them that the couch is within acceptable range. I’m furious. The repairman did not pay for our couch to even suggest that it’s acceptable to him, nor is he qualified to make that determination. Our footrests entirely overlap when reclining/reclined. There is a large gap between the cushions and the couch in entirety is visibly uneven when looking directly at it. This is what’s acceptable for a $4200 couch. This is what is acceptable and meets Palliser standards. They dragged their feet and did the repairs close to when the full warranty will end and are now refusing to fix what they caused to be worse. Buyers beware. This is far below the standards I believed buying Palliser would reflect.
Don't purchase Palliser Furnitusre
Purchased two Q90 Zero Gravity recliners from NFM manufactured by Palliser. With a few years, the motors for back and legs ceased working and when I tried to order new motors, at my expense from Palliser, they first told me they were out of stock but would be in around March 2025. Recently contacted Palliser and now they tell me that cannot get the motors which makes my two recliners worthless. Motors should not being going out within a few years for a "quality" product. My opinion is that Palliser Furniture is NOT WORTH the money and customer service is nonexistent. BUYER BEWARE
Sorely Disappointed
Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased 2 rocker recliners. After less than a year, the foam was flattened. The chairs look they are at least 5 years old. I’ve had Lazy Boys that lasted 20 years.
Palliser is replacing the foam. We’ll see how that goes. Fabric is also showing lots of wear. Extremely disappointed!
Sad when you purchase what they call…
Sad when you purchase what they call quality palliser furniture. I purchased a couch and chair full reclining just over 8,000 and you’d think paying this kind of money it would be built with quality and they back it up with decent warranty. We purchased our set with sofaland in Calgary. With this being said our recliner motor attachment block made out of cheap plastic shattered. Called for a replacement part and of course just after the warranty ends they can’t back there product.
Best shop at Lazyboy if you’re looking for better quality for that kind of money
I bought a couch and love seat
I bought a couch and love seat. 1.5 years it is cracking in the creases. They do not cover the cost of the labour after 1 year! This is going to cost me $500.00 to replace this. What is the point! Highly recommend NOT buying Pallister furniture as the warranty is horrible and it does not last! Poor poor quality.
We bought a Paliser leather / vinyl Sofa
We bought a Paliser leather / vinyl sofa in July 2022. By summer 2024 the material is disintegrating and they no long make the material in our sofa. They have offered to replace the single piece that has disintegrated but it took Palliser 3 months to find that they no longer make this colour of material. We have had their products from 20 years ago and they lasted 20 years. The new stuff seems to a have a quality issue and they will not replace my 2 yr old out of warranty sofa. I am not impressed. With the number of complaints about this problem in on line reviews, they should be standing behind their product, instead of hiding behind it
Don't waste your money!
We purchased a Palliser Westport reclining sofa in June 2024 with Dax material. The sofa has only been carefully used. The material started to flake last year, both on the headrest areas and on the front vertical area of the arm (not the arm rest). Palliser has informed us that there was only a one year warranty on the material, so they would sell us replacement covers and we would have to have someone deconstruct the sofa to install the covers. This was a reasonably expensive sofa and it is definitely not worth it. Don't buy Palliser if you are actually going to use the product. It isn’t worth the price you have to pay. I hate to say it, but our Chinese crappy furniture lasted longer and looks better!
Bought theater chairs and started…
Bought theater chairs and started peeling after a couple years. Material is garbage and company would not doing anything about it. Now after 6 or so years they are all trash. Avoid!
Made in Canada a falsehood- beware
Ordered Made in Canada priced furniture only to see Made in Mexico tags. Damaged upon delivery. Damage repaired by local technician and he did s great job. Now, after less than a year fabric is showing excessive wear.i figure in 2 years the fabric will be worn through.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. We bought a couch from them and after 7 years the cushions are cracking. They only have a one year warranty and refuse to address the issue with our couch.
We have a much cheaper couch from another company we bought that has lasted 20 years so save your money!
