Love seat lumbar went out.
Love seat lumbar went out. Purchased from Steinhafels. Less than one year old. Was told by Flexsteel they would send tech but all labor would be at MY cost. WILL not recommend Steinhafels or Flexsteel.
I only gave them a one star because I…
I only gave them a one star because I could not put in zero. Paid $2400 for a chair. And in less than a year had to replace parts then a year and a 1/2 later, the remote goes and even with a so-called warranty, it still cost a $135, they charge you $30 for shipping when they have the part on their truck from scaff's furniture.. I do not recommend buying anything from scaffs nor flex deal. It seems like really nothing is covered under their warranty.Because you're paying for all of the labor and shipping, Even though the part is on the truck wherever you buy it from, they'll charge you their chipping. So they're not out anything yet they've already made their money selling you their item.So they charged $30 for shipping. When all he had to do was walk out to his truck and get it. Any.\nOne that you speak to that has to deal with flex deal. You're going to speak with someone from another country and no one will address any concerns about their product. The only thing that they will do is tell you to speak to the person that you bought it from and the person that you buy it from tells you we can't do anything , it's what flex deal says. I do not think it's very reputable. Even though they are known supposedly to have the best quality when I look at the. Reviews, they're not good for supposedly being the best.
We bought the Flexsteel sectional leather
We bought the Power Flexsteel sectional in leather 1 year ago and could not be happier. We purchased the matching chair too and bought the extended warranty as we have 2 cats however we have not needed to use it yet. This is our 2nd Flexsteel sectional and we wouldn't buy anything but Flexsteel.
Expensive junk
Expensive junk. For a quarter of the price, maybe. Besides QC issues, check out the instructions I got with $500, each, dining chairs. "Wipe the chair clean with a soft , dry cloth, after each use". After each use! Just a convenient way to get out of their warranty. I won't go in to the rest.
Purchased a Flexsteel sofa and chair…
Purchased a Flexsteel sofa and chair for $8000 on Feb 21, 2024. 14 months later in May 2025, the chair upholstery seam is separating where stitched together in the seat. Contacted vendor and salesperson inquired in purchased Guardsman warranty which we did not. Had done research on Guardsman and review indicated they have quite a reputation for not honoring warranties. So I now have a $8000 living room suite from Flexsteel that lasted 14 months. Do not recommend their products.
In our view, Flexsteel has bad fabric
On January 6, 2025 we bought a new Fllexsteel chair thats a rocker recliner with electric control. Today, April 29, 2005, I called the store where we purchased it. The seat area is full of pilling and it looks awful. The person I have been communicating with at the store said this is normal and not a fabric defect. We need to get a sharp fabric razor and may need to do it several times to maintain it. We are an older couple who over the years have purchased several pieces of furniture, and have never experienced anything like this. I emailed the Flexsteal company, and their answer is that they are highly rated by customers and unfortunate that it's not quite meeting our expectations. If we had been told about this problem, we never would have purchased the chair. I can't believe that they have no problem with this problem for us. I would not ever recommend buying a Flexsteel product. To me the fabric is very poor quality that it pills when it isn't even 4 months old!
Their modulars are garbage
Their modulars are garbage. Bad design where the cushions fall into the slot and have no support and worse still - they ask you to go get it upholstered elsewhere and that they do not sell cushions, even if you bought it a few months ago. The cushions are low quality. Sick to myself stomach at this company and their responses. I spent close to 10K on this modular junk that is a total eyesore.

Customer assistance is terrible bought a recliner from them and in lest than a year it has issues....
Absolutely the worst experience ever!!
Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! They’ve brought out 4 ends to the sectional (one was the same as before), the last one doesn’t even match the color. The store we bought from has tried to contact them numerous times, no response, I sent certified letter to CEO no response ~ THEY JUST DON’T CARE. I tried to contact through their FB site, again no response, this has been going on since Oct 23-now. Once they have your money, that’s it. I’d never recommend their products even for my dog’s house!!
Fool me once shame on
My wife and I purchased a sofa and love seat set Flexsteel branded 2 years ago. This is our second purchase from the company and the first set suffered 2 broken springs that have lifetime warranty. The replacement set was very expensive and within 2 months the right side of the loveseat shifted and was visibly lower than the console or the left side.
We filled a claim and a factory rep and the seller from the store came to our home but refused to acknowledge the fact the furniture was not assembled properly. No work was done by the company to repair the furniture. Instead I disassembled the right side and shimmed it to be level with the rest of the loveseat.
Now after 2 years the seats sag on one side like the original furniture did but the flat springs are still intact. On closer examination the stuffing on the seats is obviously broken down and lacks proper support on one side of the console and the far side is opposite with the higher side opposite still.
One of the primary selling points of Flexsteel was that is was made in Iowa USA. On turning either unit over there are labels stating it is made in china not even in the US.
If you want to learn how to repair furniture please buy Flexsteel brand, otherwise look to alternatives at lower prices and more reliable customer service. Made in china is not always the sole reason products are shoddy. Design and marketing by this company make their furniture less reliable and more expensive so be forewarned to stay away from them.
We have a Flexsteel sofa we bought that…
We have a Flexsteel sofa we bought that just recntly started falling apart. It is just my husband and myself so no small kids around The back started to curve so the furniture store we bought it from tried to get service from the company. The company does not service them. They were told to fix it themselves. So, they took material off to find out there was no brace at all in the middle of he sofa so of course that is why it is curving and falling apart. The cpmany was sent pictures, the rep contacted multiple times with no real solution. We are gtting under a $200 credit from them which is unaccepable. They said they would send a properly made frame but we were responsible for taking the fabric off and installing it on the new frame. OMG!!!! The sofa was well over $2,000.00 so I am very unhappy. I would suggest others looking to buy flexsteel be careful. We are stuck with a piece of crap.
This company/chair is absolute…garbage
This company/chair is absolute GARBAGE!!! They ONLY talk/deal with their dealers!!! There is NO WAY you can talk to a tech. rep. or ANYONE AT ALL!!!
I bought their BEST chair and after 4 weeks, there are metal “ribs” pushing up into my butt & into my low back!!! NOTHING I DO WILL FIX THIS!!!!
My dealer doesn’t want to talk with me because I bought from their website and I live in So. CA!!!! They are in Chicago,IL.
The recliner steel braces have cracked…
The recliner steel braces have cracked on all of the right angle ones. They are way too thin. When trying to replace them they want $130 to just come out and look at it to see if it is under warranty and if it is I still pay the $130? What good is a lifetime warranty if I have to pay that every time and this is the second time this has happened? The quality is just not there and I will be never looking at that brand again!!! Buy at your own risk and just throw the warranty away!! Can’t cost that much to send me the bracket and I can put it on but nooo.
Never buy Flexsteel Leather Furniture
A little over a year of receiving our leather flex steel power swivel recliner with power headrest and lumbar, the we noticed a color diffencence on the headrest. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that the actual color was peeling off. When we tried to submit a claim, we were told that this was not covered under the warranty and that the color was painted on. I have never before heard of painting a color onto leather furniture, I always believed that the leather was dyed. After this experience, I would never recommend anyone purchase any Flexsteel Furniture product.
Not recommend, too expensive for the quality
Just received a Flexsteel sectional which we ordered. Was appalled to find there is no dust cover on the bottom of the sofas. To me this is an unfinished product. I never heard of such a thing. Called Flexsteel and got nowhere. I would not advise buying their furniture. The quality has gone down since the last time I bought from them (those sofas did have dust covers). I am sorry I'm a repeat customer.
We spent the extra money on these, they are built in like cheap ones
We spent the extra money on these because there talk about the limited life time warranty. The sales place where we bought it said they cover everything but the fabric or leather. The first thing to go was there fancy spring system. The top of the couch without the cushions sits three inches below the front of the couch. Then the cushions broke down. The dealer doesn't want to know anything about it or flexsteel. I would never.... Purchase there stuff again. I have a couch and two chairs.
Miserable Customer Service
Flexsteele refuses to reimburse us for a service charge we incurred because they sent 2 incorrect parts to us for a furniture repair. They said their company is incapable of sending us a check or any forms of reimbursement even though it was their error we incurred the fee. Do not buy anything from them, their customer service is miserable.
Absolute Junk
Absolute Junk. The color will come out of the leather within 9 months and you'll be left with an overpriced piece of junk
I think I would pass on flexsteel
I think I would pass on flexsteel. Our recliner is not working, switch or motor. No response from flexsteel with the dealer who we bought it from, not indication of when the parts will come in, no response to the furniture store when we ask them to ask about parts.
Purchased my sectional from an…
Purchased my sectional from an excellent retailer with top notch customer service. Disappointed the sectional had no dust cover as it is dropping dust and tiny wood slivers on my floor. From what I understand it is because Flexsteel wants to show off the blue Flexsteel frame. But it also shows that they use very inexpensive pieces of wood to build the balance of the frame. In fact the right side of my left sectional, right under the cushion drops down 2" across 15" of the frame, an obvious wood cut error. I would expect that quality control would catch the error, and replace the piece of wood, but what they did was just put the cushioning and leather over the top of it and leave it as it was. It appears the "true" entire package warranty is only a year. For this reason I was hesitant to add a dust cover as it might invalidate the warranty, however, the dust got to be too much. I also have dogs and can only imagine the dog hair that could collect throughout the frame over the years. It was easy to do with a staple gun and dust cover fabric from Amazon, only about a $9 investment, well worth it. The comfort weight and sturdiness of the sectional is quite good. The leather is beautiful. It is just disappointing that a company with such brand recognition is no longer paying attention to the details.
