Appalling service from parts / service team
Terrible service - bought a used car that is just turned 2 years old ( bought under 8 months ago from EK)- broke down major electrical fault and was taken to parks by AA ek a week ago - since then we have phoned everyday to get an update - told to drive car ( clutch gone ) to Irvine as that is where car was brought up from - every day we have phoned to ask about a courtesy car and progress as am NHS community nurse and told someone will phone us back and they never do - appalling service and left in dark with no car - would not recommend making any purchase from this company
Threatened by the sales manager
Just had the sales manager for Parks of Hamilton Renault East Kilbride calling us threatening legal action because we put our negative experience up on reviews & social media. Everything on the reviews was the truth & we have proof. Apparently we were 'accepting' of their ridiculous offer for our car which we handed back after CONSTANT issues from the 1st week we had it. More like..... we had no option, other than keep an unsafe car which we weren't prepared to do. Wow, they really are a shocking company!! They just keep delivering that diabolical service! The sales manager basically just called to shout at us, try to belittle us & puff his chest out. They are bullies. Nasty, unhelpful & don't believe anything you say. Horrible horrible place. Oh and just to add. When we called the head office to tell them all the problems & make a complaint. The lady who took the call didn't realise she hadn't pressed mute & we heard the woman she asked what to do with this complaint "Just tell them anything to get them off the phone"
They are nice as pie when they're selling you a car which most of their good reviews are from but if there's any issues with your newly purchased car......... they are nasty & horrible!!
Parks Ayr
Parks Ayr: I would give 0 stars if I could! Customer service none existent, after having to wait 5 months to book my defender in for work covered under the warranty, 4 months later the exact same issue occurred.
So as before I dropped the car in first thing, rang numerous times after lunch to get an idea when I could pick it back up; no one available to speak to me about it, they’re all with other customers, took my number twice, someone will ring you back asap. No phone call! So rang again, and again no one was available to speak to me regarding the work.
So I walked in, asked how long it might be (not a single customer in, and still no one to return my call!) was told to my face that they’re working on my car as we speak: no they’re not, I’ve just walked past my car and it’s not moved all day, it’s now 3.30pm! I can not stand being lied to my face!
This is not the first time I’ve experienced poor customer service from this place, last time I was in I asked about buying a new car, I was told very dismissively to ‘look on line’
As I’m writing this, there’s another couple of customers obviously receiving the same level of poor service I am, this is clearly an area that needs huge improvement!
The past 20 years I’ve always landrovers, won’t be buying another car from them!!
Problems After Problems Audi Q5
If I could give a no star review I would!!! Sold us a faulty unsafe car constant issues from first week of having it. Engine management light, suspension problems, car cuts out while driving.
Refused us a refund within the first 30 days when we asked, told us we couldnt do that. Then after owning the car for 3 months of which Parks has had it for 6 of those weeks, it has more issues.
We finally Told them we've had enough & want our money back but they are offering to take it back for £2500 less than we bought it. We've been patronised by the staff, treated as if we are stupid. They try to make it out as though they are 'doing us a favor' as we were told by offering us that amount. After contacting Head Office with the promise of a manager calling back, They never do and are also not interested. DO NOT BUY FROM PARKS!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DEALERS TO PURCHASE A SAFE ROADWORTHY CAR FROM. TO TOP OF THIS SHOCKING DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE NOW TREATING WITH LEGAL ACTION FOR BAD MOUTHING THEM!!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST PARKS OF HAMILTON!!!
Absolutely furious
Absolutely furious. Reserved a Fiat Panda online last night from Ford Inverness branch. The car was still available online and I easily paid my £200 deposit.
To my surprise this morning I received a call from the branch telling me the car was sold.
The branch sold the vehicle between 4pm and 5pm last night. Why was this still on the website at nearly midnight ? The gentleman who phoned me from the branch was apologetic. Wasn't his fault but poor show Park's.
We recently bought a Suzuki Swift from…
We recently bought a Suzuki Swift from Parks East Kilbride, Steve was extremely helpful and really knowledgeable, which secured our decision to purchase a car for our daughter, service provided after purchase has been excellent.
Good experience throughout
Just bought a Nissan Micra for our daughters from Liam. Overall a great experience. He looked after us throughout the process and made it easy to select the right car.
Park Motor's - shocking way to treat a customer
I bought a car from Park Motors Elgin on 9.7.24 and the next day there was water coming in through the roof. I took it back and thought it might be a seal, which didn't bother me. I was then told that it needed a new skin on the roof inside. This did bother me so I phoned and rejected the car, asking for a full refund. No refund given but after complaining to their Head Office, Hamilton I was offered another car from their Ayr dealership, which I was assured was in immaculate condition. I accepted the car. After a week and a half I started hearing a noise every now and then, but thought I was being paranoid. A week later my daughter heard the noise (whining) so I took it to my local mechanic who said to take it back to the dealership. I did this and after checking they said that the clutch and the flywheel had burnt out, but that I wasn't covered under the manufacturer's warranty because it was driver error, in other words it was my fault. I am now waiting for The Motor Ombudsman to allocate an administrator to investigate my complaint. I have been advised by 2 different mechanics that as I was driving locally and didn't put on too many miles it wasn't my fault. I've been driving for many years and have never burnt out a clutch. I paid thousands for the car and within a week and a half there was something wrong with it. The first car I had 24 hours when there was a serious fault with it and the second car for one and a half weeks when I thought there was something wrong, which turned out again to be a serious fault. Park Motor's are not interested in my complaint, which is why I have had to go to Consumer Rights and The Motor Ombudsman. I haven't had a car since 22.8.24 and I haven't had a refund to enable me to buy another car - shocking way to treat a customer. Two cars with serious faults within 2 months and if I could give Park Motor's a 0 star I would.
Parks Hamilton
Recently bought a car from Parks Hamilton from Liam McNicholl and am so happy with my service received and he made the experience very positive.
Would definitely return.
Parks East Kilbride Dacia
Recently purchased my new Dacia today and would highly recommend Dacia at Parks East Kilbride ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Jonathon for all your professional guidance and support in making our purchase run smoothly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely first class customer service…
Absolutely first class customer service from Paulina Kokoszewska at Land Rover Aberdeen, constantly kept me uptodate with my vehicle's status and made me feel like a very important customer - even though my vehicle was a recall - purchased from another dealer, keep up that amazing service and you will go far.
Staff are fantastic
I purchased a car at the end of November, and the entire process could not have been simpler. Everyone I dealt with was excellent, from start to finish.
A special shoutout to Rob Moss in Sales for his outstanding assistance and to Kirsty in Servicing, who went above and beyond to look after me while my car was having some touch-ups.
The management team also played a key role in ensuring everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this dealership for their exceptional customer service and attention to detail!
Service department at Renault did a service based on wrong carl
Service at Renault Parks East Kilbride.
Service done based on wrong model of car. Couldn’t find faults I had listed saying it was a feature of the car. I doubt it was even a feature of the model they thought they were servicing. Phone call for review resulted in promise of call from mechanic which hasn’t happened and offer to rewrite record of service changing to the
actual car.
21st. January. Call from service manager. Shown video of faults. Agreed the whole thing was unacceptable .
Offered to redo service based on correct model and fix faults. Promised that if this meant keeping the car overnight then a courtesy car would be provided. Phoned to say that they would need it overnight but no courtesy car other than a hire car from Europcar which would take 3 days. A shambles.
Parks Landrover Inverness.Very Disappointing
My car recently went (after a months wait) in for a misfire on startup and a possible oil leak from the rear axle. There were fault codes stored in the ecm indicating number 4 glow plug/ circuit as diagnosed by the AA (JLR breakdown service). I received the car back with ‘no fault found’ and cited a possible injector fault which there never has been. The oil leak was diagnosed as a leaking engine casing and bolts had been ‘tightened and re torqued’ funny, as there was no leak from the engine. These guys just wasted my time and risked potential further issues due to the glow plugs not working correctly and lied about the oil leak.
It’s a shame because last time it went in for a similar issue no 1 glow plug that time, they were spot on and fixed it. I really feel for those who just drive their cars and trust the dealerships to do the right thing in a transparent way. I’m lucky I’ve been in the motor repair trade for 45 years a know what goes on under the bonnet recognise when I’m being fobbed off I’ve now got to wait another month before It can be looked at and hopefully repaired.
Parks Hyundai Carlisle does not exist
Loaned 3 cars on finance via Parks Hyundai in carlisle. First car, no issues and great customer service. Second car (i20) had a bolt fall out of the engine mid-drive (two months after a service) and the engine blew. It was just over two years old.
Third car (i30) broke down yesterday, just over 3 years old and serviced/MOT passed a few months ago. Hyundai assist couldn’t be more helpful. I rang parks Carlisle to let them know that the vehicle would be recovered to them, like my last breakdown. A colleague called me back to inform me that Parks Hyundai no longer exists and is transitioning to Arnold Clark, so do not have the vehicle recovered to them as they won’t accept it. But, Arnold Clark Hyundai isn’t open yet so cannot help either. I was told they “think” there is a Hyundai dealer 30 miles away, and I must take it to a Hyundai dealer for genuine parts. My service plan is through Parks Hyundai Carlisle and dated until 2025, and no one can give me a clear answer if this will be transitioned over, or if I’ve been paying £24 a month for thin air.
Parks customers should have been informed that the company is transitioning over, for cases like this. Email or letter would have done. Even a phone call or text to let customers know. It adds to the stress and anxiety of already having an issue with your car.
Parks East Kilbride - Dacia
Spoke with Jonathon on the Monday and took delivery of a brand new jogger on the Saturday. Jonathon took care of everything including the transfer of private plates and nothing was too much trouble and that included turning up initially with the dog in the car and the grand kids when collecting the new car. So far absolutely no issues but if there was I have confidence they will be sorted. Cannot praise Jonathon and his colleagues highly enough a pleasure to deal with.
Parks Service Carlisle... Fantastic Experience...
I took my car to Park's Carlisle for its scheduled service, and MOT, having bought it from Parks East Kilbride, in January this year, at the same time as relocating to the area from Glasgow. The car had been purchased by the previous owner new from Parks East Kilbride, and this was my first experience of using Parks service department. From start to finish, my whole experience with Parks service Carlisle has been outstanding: from the friendly booking reminder to tell me that the car was due for it's service and MOT, being kept informed of its progress (and costs...) via video messages, to collecting my completed car, freshly valeted.
The customer service, particularly from Hayley and her colleague at Service Reception (my apologies, I didn't get the lady's name...) was friendly, professional and, ultimately, flawless. They even took me home while the car was being serviced, and picked me back up to collect my car later in the day, and looked after by Ati, Park's driver who, again, was the consumate professional...
A fantastic job, competitively priced, and facilitated by a matchless team. I have no hesitation in recommending Parks service Carlisle, and commend the staff mentioned to you, and Parks management...
Parks Hyundai Service
Parks Hyundai Service
Tuscon was due 1st service at just over 3k miles and and requested at time of booking to check parking sensor blockage error Booked drop and wait as had to take time off work. 2 1/2 hrs for basic service and not even looked at parking sensor issue (which is a warranty issue). No explanation why not addressed as the Hyundai Service agent had gone to lunch. Poor customer service.Would be more effective rectifying warranty faults than offering to wash and vac your car! Will try and book warranty job with another franchise
David of Parks Aberdeen is a star
David, of Parks Aberdeen was wonderfully patient with my changing of decisions and talked me through things clearly. The car I finally bought, a new Toyota Yaris, definitely suits me.
Full marks for Mat.
Recent replacement of my Ford Focus at Park’s Inverness with new model was handled efficiently and courteously thanks to Mateusz C.
