I’ve just completed the 9 day NEBOSH National General Certificate through the virtual classroom delivery method. I have studied with Phoenix previously and they are always great with providing clear, informative learning materials, and I would absolutely recommend them for a range of courses.
Our tutor was Shane Goss and he was superb - probably one of the most engaging and approachable trainers I’ve experienced. His training style was brilliant, he paced the sessions really well and left plenty of time for feedback and questions. He made a quite daunting syllabus feel achievable and straightforward. Our learning group was great too, just the right size and a really good mix of people. Thank you Shane, hope to have you on another course one day!

Don't use for online training!!! Scam
Did my IOSH training with Phoenix, but through the Knowledge Academy. Quite a disappointing experience, to be honest. After I did my exam online, I followed the instructions for the Risk Assessment, and they failed me with a 0! Which is IMPOSSIBLE to get (you get some points just for putting your name on the paper).
The platform said that you can use your own template as long as the risk matrix is included. The template of my risk assessment was very similar to the IOSH one, and I followed all the instructions given! When I called them to ask about this, they said, 'Oh, the examiner gave it a 0 because it wasn't the IOSH template'.
If you can't accept other people's templates, then why are you giving it as an option???
I have done tons of Risk Assessments in my career, and I was shocked to receive this kind of feedback.
Sophie L, who is my main point of contact, said that they would re-examine my paperwork. And WHAT A SURPRISE, I passed with flying colours!
This happened on the 25th of June. And I am yet to receive my certificate (writing this on the 1st of October). They said my certificate was 'missing'...How funny!
I paid for this certificate with my own money, and it would have been more useful to me if I had burned that money instead of giving anything to Phoenix or the Knowledge Academy.
You seem to only take companies seriously because you can make more money out of them. I get why you work with the Knowledge Academy, because your main company values are greed and fraud.
I would love to receive my certificate one day... I can only dream of the day I stop emailing you about this...

NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational H&S
I have recently completed the NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. The Phoenix portal made the full process extremely straightforward and easy to track my progress throughout. NEBOSH General Certificate
I completed the NEBOSH General Certificate with Phoenix in March 2026. The course was very engaging thanks to the group I was with and the superb teacher, Wayne Haywood. Learning with Wayne was effortless as he was engaging and knowledgeable. The exam and practical were difficult to get through but I am glad I completed the in-person training with Phoenix and Wayne to successfully gain this qualification.

Recently completed my Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. Having completed NEBOSH General & Construction in the classroom. I have nothing bad to say
I have nothing bad to say about my experience with Phoenix Health and Safety - I have recently completed my NVQ6 with them and the process was seamless with a really easy to use online platform for evidence submissions and Knowledge tasks. My NVQ Assessor Rebecca Walsh was really approachable and helpful and response time to queries etc was fantastic.
