Appears they have stopped answering any emails, returned items and after 2 months have not received refund or acknowledgement of any goods returned.

I was ordering university team clothing from their website.
First, they sent two emails to inform me that the dispatch had to be postponed for additional weeks.
Second, after I wrote to the customer service that I truly no longer need the purchase and want to cancel my order (because the weather was freezing and I had to buy layers from elsewhere), the package was miraculously (sarcasm) delivered in another week.
Now I am stuck at the third step. I eventually kept some of the items but returned a pair of jogging pants. It has been a month and I have written two emails. As before, no one ever replied. And I have clearly NOT received my refund. I am planning to complain to my credit card issuer to discuss further actions against the company.

Just been told, after phoning to enquire where my order was ( that was 2 months old and original sent out wrong) that it had been cancelled a month ago … with no email to inform me and No refund given. Is this fraudulent? Awful service over the last 5 years, unfortunately tied in as supplies school uniform
Truly the worst supplier I have ever…
Truly the worst supplier I have ever dealt with. Random cancellation of items that were supposedly in stock and waiting for months to get school branded kit. Whoever managed to persuade the schools to use this company did a great job by not exposing the total lack of service.
If there was an alternative we would go there. I will be suggesting too the school to change their supplier.

PlayerLayer are a disgrace. I placed an order 3 months ago and still no kit. I did receive the socks- eventually.
I have tried calling numerous times, the phone rings, you leave a message and no one gets back to you! I even filled in their online query form and still being ignored. I have requested a refund as my childs school has advised they are no longer the sports kit supplier (hmmm….I wonder why?) I am so cross. Even when I did get through over a month ago to question the (alleged) delivery dates, I was given so many lame excuses. For example “we have the kits, they’re just having the personalisation applied” I realise now this was utter nonsense. I want a refund and will be taking further appropriate action. You should be ashamed of your ignorance. No wonder you’ve gone!
No refund
Absolutely terrible customer service. I received my order, but one item was just completely the wrong size (way too big), so I returned it about 2 months ago. Still, now, no refund and they don't answer the phone or any of my 5 emails asking for help with this. So disappointing and will never use this company again.
Great kit, when it fits, terrible customer experience.
Ordered my teams sports kit, following the size chart I should be a medium. I order the medium kit and it’s a tight fit and short on the body, it’s a mid layer sold as ‘loose fitting’. I return the item. I now have an XL, I have never been XL anything this is almost too loose on the body but still not enough length. Following the size chart it should be burying me. The first item still not received the refund after sending back nearly a month ago. Ignored me email so far.
Unable to contact them to make a return
I made an order for my club in November and half of it arrived, the other half was cancelled. However, as the status on the website says 'processing' I cannot create a return and despite calling multiple times and submitting a contact form I cannot get in touch with them. This is worrying as the deadline to make a return will come soon and I will be very angry if this results in me not being able to make one. I expected better.
Just avoid these people!
To add to the long list of other complaints from other customers: I ordered my son some kit that was in stock (apparently) quoting 10 days delivery. This was on 8th December. I received an order confirmation citing 10th January. I rang them (others are right, the number on the invoice doesn't work, try 0115 9817363) to be told about these seemingly unfixable "supply issues", and that they were waiting for my goods to be embroidered (which, with a modern machine, should take about 5 minutes). If only the sales team in the company, who have persuaded so many schools and colleges to work with them, were as good at actually delivering for customers! I work with several universities and you can be sure I will be highlighting this terrible record in future.

No communication pre order of delivery lead times. No response to emails or requests to cancel as estimated date is post Christmas, telephone number doesnt even work.
I work in an online retail business and would be utterly ashamed if this was the kind of service we provided!
Repeated failures over many years....
I have been waiting for my team shirt since the end of September. The company tells me that it is facing unprecedented supply chain issues. However, past experience, with my kids and various sports clubs, suggest that these same issues have been going on for many years - and, trust me, they are have been made well aware of the problems by almost everyone who uses them. If you are a sports club, I can highly recommend that you stay well clear.
Avoid At All Costs
Awful company who should not be able to trade in the UK. Waited months for a refund (still no sign of it) and months for the remainder of an order to be fulfilled.
5 months and waiting
The stuff is good, however, we have been now waiting for a t-shirt for 5 months. The wearer will have grown out of it by the time it arrives. Avoid.

With deliveries they have an excuse of global supply chain. But refunds? What’s the excuse ??

I ordered 2 team hoodies for my kids in May '21 deliver was a couple of weeks away. After 2 months one has come, the other I just a email each week saying its the distribution centre and its never been posted.
its now November... 6 months and they cannot even deliver a hoodie and i have to explain to my kid why her sister has got one but she hasnt. nice one, 110% will order again
We have had trouble with this company…
We have had trouble with this company all through the summer with getting our sports clothing.Unfortunately they hold the sports clothing contract fot the secondary school so our hands are tied.Our latest order was due 25th October and they did not even had the decency to let us know it that would not be that date.I had to email them yet agian on the 26th .They are still saying they are having trouble getting the clothing.Every other uniform suppliers are getting them in time now.The clothing will be too small by the time it arrives!Very disappointed with such poor customer service
Repeatedly pushed my delivery date back
I ordered around £100 of kit from them on September 30th and was told it would arrive by October 14th. Seemed like a long time but fine, the stuff is fairly personalised so I get it.
On the 15th October, I was emailed saying my order was delayed and it would be with me 'next week' (so 22nd October at the latest). Again, I was a bit miffed, having then played two matches without any kit, but fine, things happen.
Anyway, it's now October 22nd and I haven't had even as much as a dispatch notification, so I rang customer service this morning. The woman who answered apologised and said it should be with me 'by the end of next week at the latest' (meaning 30th October). Great, another week to wait, another match to not have kit for. I'm starting to get really peeved.
Just when I thought I couldn't get more annoyed, I've now just come home to an email saying that my delivery will be with me by 3rd November, so an extra 5 days on what I was told over the phone. If they actually keep their word on this delivery date (which seems unlikely at this point), my delivery will be almost three weeks later than they initially estimated. I will have missed 4 matches in which I'm meant to have this kit.
I feel that the company is taking advantage of the fact that many of us are required by our university teams to buy our kit from there. If you're not required to do it, don't buy from them. And if you're someone who has power over whether a university/club sources their kit from Player Layer, I'd recommend you consider making your players spend their money elsewhere.

Be prepared to wait months for delivery!!!
Ordered in August and received yet another email to say the items were delayed to 3 November.
Appreciate the update but would prefer to actually get the items.

Service failure
I ordered a football kit for my 14yr old son in August allowing plenty of time before the start of his football season. The top and socks turned up after two weeks with an e-mail to inform me that the shorts were due to be shipped within a couple of weeks . It is now October 7th and , aside from a couple of e-mails saying that the shorts were due to be shipped , none have arrived with no new due date. I have contacted playerlayers customers service and after taking down a few details and the order number they informed me that someone will be in contact shortly . Even after numerous calls I have not heard from anyone regarding when the shorts will arrive and my request for a refund has been ignored. Terrible service.

Ordered a rugby hoodie for my son in 7-8, they sent 5-6. Contacted customer services they take sometime to respond and they said they would send another. This turned up around 3 weeks later but was again 5-6. Contacted customer services again who have sent another out but are very slow to respond…no idea if we will ever get the correct item, extremely poor service Will not use again. Absolute rip off
